In the books, Madge gives her the pin while in the movie, Katniss goes shopping and buys Prim a prim, and before the games begin, Cinna gives Katniss one.

I sure hope they don't.. I really liked that part in the second book. It's always fun learning about the past, and I just felt what happened then was so integral in what happened "now."
 
I just wanted to say that I saw an episode of Medium last night that had Jennifer Lawrence in it, the girl who plays Katniss. Her acting was really good, it gives me high hope for her performance in The Hunger Games. I'm marking the days now. Very excited!

Favorite Character: Finnick - I feel like he's the most 3D out of Suzanne Collin's characters. His actions are actually explainable, his personality isn't contrived, and he's great. Doesn't deserve what happens to him. I was so pissed.

Which character(s) do you dislike?: Katniss, Prim (such a plot device, no actual character... kills me)

Which book of the series do you like the most? The Hunger Games... Suzanne Collin's writing goes so downhill after that... Mockingjay - half the time she was too busy killing and describing to even let me know what the eff was going on!!
 
So has anyone else seen Taylor Swift's music video for "Safe and Sound?" If that location resembles District 12 at all, I am extremely excited for the movie :P

The movie is coming out in just a little over two weeks!!!!!
I've already bought my midnight premiere tickets. Is anyone else going to see it at midnight?

HUNGER GAMES THE MOVIE IS OUT!
On my bday ^^.
Didn't see it (doesn't come out where I live yet), have any of you seen it?
 
I went to see the movie at midnight the morning it came out! It was fantabulous!!!!!!!!
There were a couple parts where I jumped and screamed at.
And I really cried during the scene with Rue and the flowers.


What did you guys think of the movie?

The movie was amazing. The part with the mutants that jumped out of nowhere made me flinch, ahah.
Rue's death honestly wasn't that sad, tbh, imo. I actually found Prim's reaping to be more emotional, if at all.
 
Did you read the book by any chance Destiny Demon? It's I was disappointed with Rue's death in the movie, as it was much more emotional in the book - it was emotional for me, but I suppose because Rue and Katniss literally were on screen together for less than half an hour. Just my take.

I was disappointed with the mutts, I expected them to be scarier - there wasn't a single mention of the DNA from the other tributes - just a glimmer in one of their eyes Katniss noticed.

I LOVED THE MOVIE OTHERWISE THOUGHHH. <3333

Favorite character: Probably Rue. She influenced the first book by so much. It really changed Katniss.



1) I've already watched it, and I didn't like it too much.


2) I didn't like half of the tributes that were named in the Games. I also don't like President Snow, but then again, who does...


3) It's either the first or the second book. The third book is total garbage. It's a downward spiral into an abyss of despair and depression. As you turn the pages, it just becomes more and more terrible.

Mostly President Snow & Gale.

Which book of the series do you like the most? Well I'm on Catching Fire, but so far The Hunger Games itself is the best to me.
