Cyndaquil are the better starters imo, I love Quilava so much I often don't evolve them.

I prefer Typhlosion over Quilava, it's just so badass. :badsmile:
 
Chikorita was my first Pokemon ever (not counting friends' games that they let me play a little bit), so I definitely like it =P

I'll probably go with Cyndaquil for SS, though since.. fire types ftw.
Even though I already used it for my HG starter. >_>

I tried playing HG in japanese. But it stuck after a while D: Unstable rom, perhaps. Maybe better to finally buy a DS and the real game. Whenever it comes out in my faraway little country.
 
I love playing something that I can't understand. The only problem is...I CAN'T UNDERSTAND IT. >:
 
I might rent it through GameFly, but by March I doubt I'll have the money to buy it... plus Platinum will remain my "main" game regardless. But as long as Picnickers Liz and Gina; and Juggler Irwin still give you their phone numbers, it'll be worth a play-through at least :P

I'll probably choose Cyndaquil, my starter from Silver and Crystal.
 
As it's already down to a three- or four-month-away release date, I'm just biding my time. I'm happy with teh romz for now.

How should we capitalize the games? we have R/B/Y, G/S/C, R/S/E/Fr/Lg, and D/P/Pt. Should it be HG/SS, H/S, Hg/Ss? Whatcha think?
 
Most people refer to the games as HGSS or HG/SS for short. Though, I have seen other used acronyms like HgSs a few times. Personally, I use HGSS most of the time if I don't just choose to spell out the entire game titles.
 
I've played through HG like I did the original Gold -- same names, etc. -- started off with a Cyndaquil. Was fun.
Now I'm playing through SS, started out with Totodile; never done that before.

HG/SS come out in English four days after my birthday, so all I have to do is wait. This should be fun.

What do you think should be the official English name for Kotone?
Is Gold still the official English name for the hero?

...
 
I've already chosen my starter for SS. Cyndaquil. Is and always will be. All that's left now is to beat the japanese version before english comes out.
