Hey folks,

I've just joined up and i'm pretty new to this sorta thing, been a Pokemon fanatic for god knows how long so I reckon its about time I got to know my fellow fans!
Any tips for someone starting out new here?

Also here are some random facts about me:
- I'm from bonnie wee Scotland
- If i had to pick a favourite Pokemon i'd probably say Sneasel
- Hoenn is by far my favourite region, so i'm especially excited about the ruby/sapphire remakes!
- In general, I'm a big fan of the games/anime and looking to start on the manga soon

Ah yes, Hoenn lovers. That is just perfect given how much I love the region myself. Welcome to the forum!

The most important tips are to read the main rules as well as section-specific rules in areas you plan to post in. You'd be surprised with how many people don't really read the forum's guidelines and go on to make mistake upon mistake. xD; But we understand that this is a huge community so you might get lost along the way; definitely no worries if you've read through things and are still lost. Poke a staff member if you need some help with anything. :D

Hehe, always awesome to meet another Hoenn fan, y'know? I'm definitely with ya on the excitement of the remakes; the gameplay so far looks pretty stellar, and I'm definitely digging how they're making it like X&Y and making the Hoenn world 3D! It's gonna be awesomeee. :3

And hello there to you! I see you're here for Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire as well given you love Hoenn. Definitely no surprise there given the praise Hoenn gets by many.

I wonder if you heard about what was revealed at E3 yesterday? Really great footage I have to say, but I've been crippled with slow as hell internet this week so I had to miss the Twitch broadcast. It did reveal some in-game footage, such as Primal Groudon & Kyogre, along with Mr. Briney's boat, Route 110's Cycling Road, Fortree City and the Hoenn starters. Really want November to come around sooner now!

Given you like the Pokemon manga and anime, Dragon's directed you to the boards that have those covered. I really should try to watch the anime again, but it's been very hard to catch up lately. Don't worry if you feel lost given our big size, we have friendly people such as those who already posted here who can help you get around.
