While my friends have legit shinies of the Latis, I haven't been that lucky when it comes to getting Shinies in general. But is it true that you can get Shiny Latis in an event?
 
I have an .avi file of the Japanese fansub. If you can think of a way to transfer 700MB of data over the internet (can E-mail attachments be that large?), I might be able to give it to you.

Where did you find it? I can't do anything P2P because my college will kill me.

In the Japanese version of the movie, Latios's voice was a lot deeper and he sounded like he did in the games. Also, Latias sounded better too, she had more personality. I don't know what the American dubs did, but they changed (and ruined) them both in the English version.

Plus the Japanese version also had the entire Legend of Altomare at the beginning (only the last page of the book is seen in the beginning of the English version) which added about 5 to 10 minutes of airtime that otherwise made for a very short movie. It also shows how the Latis came from a group of a large number, and it's not just those two.

OOOOOH! Upload it to a site like www.megaupload.com and post the link here. The maximum on megaupload is 1024 megabytes. Just expect the uploading to take a long, long time.

Or maybe post it to Google Video.

It might be possible. But I believe the Pokémon you get in events are always the same when you encounter them (a preset value). So if they aren't shiny when you see them, they won't be in the future.

Well, it wasn't P2P. One of the members of PC had a blog with SUBs and RAWs of every Pokémon episode in existence. But she had to take them down recently. (And not due to copyright violations either! Apparently a fansubber had a bone to pick with their distributors.)

Well, Google Video sucks. So I'll try Megaupload. And yes. It will take a while. I'll post later if it's done. ;D

Well, good to see it's up. But is full movie an English fandub or Japanese version?
 
It's the Japanese version, widescreen, and fansubbed (quite decent translations too, as fansubs go).

Plus it doesn't have the hideous blue tint that the English version threw over everything! XD
 
Ah yes, it was annoying that tint. But finally there is a fully well subbed version of Pokemon Heroes to get here, with the correct story and a more manly Latios to boot, lol.

Why they never stuck with it is beyond me.

Because the localization team is a bunch of crackheads that have nothing better to do than ruin my favorite franchise. I MEAN UMM...
 
It also bothered me that they never released a widescreen edition for it (and any of the direct-to-video Pokémon movies for that matter).

Anyways, that fansub should calm everyone's gripes about lousy translations and transitions and transomethings. XD

AW YEAH! Reply number 2009 in the year 2009! XD Ideally, the reply number will never again be the same number as the current year, unless we wait a year for the next reply (which would also get the club closed, of course ;D).

Oh yeah, forgot to quote, but to whoever asked about the current topic, we're not really having a set topic per se. We're just sort of drifting around about everything Lati-related, which is actually how a healthy and active club should be anyway. :]

I dunno. Why buy it when you could get better image quality, wider screen ratio, no footage cut out, and no Latios on helium ... for free with the fansub? XD

Oh well, it might be interesting to own the DVD too. I have it, but that was before I knew of the wonders of the interrrrwebz.
 
Oh lord, it's kind of pathetic how much better the Japanese version was. The localization team needs to be dragged out into the street and sho--err--given a stern talking-to.
 
That's we get from 4Kids anyway. Hopefully the next the Latis are in the anime, they'll get better treatment. (Did that sound a little odd?)

It's okay, you're among friends. We all know 4kids ought to go bankrupt during this economic crisis...

Oh, and Volta, I seem to only be able to get sound on that download. :/ Am I doing something wrong?
