    [PokeCommunity.com] The LCD Games

Did anyone play or get one of those LCD games, like the Game & Watch games, or those Tiger Electronic games? They were basically the early versions of handheld games.

For the graphics, the background was a fixed image that was printed onto the console, and there were a bunch of static images that represented all of the characters and objects. These static images light up individually, and when they are controlled, they sort of 'simulate' movement. Kind of like calculators. Well, so, again, did anyone play those types of games? What did you think of them? Do you have any memories of them?

    Feel free to share!

I remember McDonald's used to hand out a ton of those back then. I think I almost had the full sport collection :P

I had one was like a flight battle simulator I had to shoot the ones coming from the left, middle and right. But the only problem was, at 6-7 years old I didn't really know how to shoot the ones on the left and right so I'd always die when those came :C
Unfortunately I lost it at the mall =/

I used to own one of those Godzilla electronic games:

My mom bought it for me in New York when I was about 8 years old. It was okaaaay, I mean, it wasn't the best game I could of gotten at that time, but it was pretty addicting to beat my high score!

I remember the small Sonic games that you were able to get from Burger King when you bought a Kid's meal. I would spend hours on those things, haha toys were better back in the day. I don't remember ever playing a Game & Watch handheld thing. I started on the N64 then worked my way onto either the Gameboy or Gameboy Color.

Lol, what a coincidence, yesterday I found one of these games =D

When I was really young, I would always get those McDonalds LCD games. I remember having a few Spyro ones and Sonic ones. I found those LCD games quite fun actually, and it was definitely enjoyable. Alas, most of them are lost somewhere. I found one of my Sonic ones (had 3), but all of my Spyro ones are all gone (also had 3).
