Topic Answer (If applicable): Do you think grass-types could have less weaknesses?

Only pure grass types.. taking of flying would make since to me, because I dont understand how flying is affective against Grass, I can see how Bug, Ice, Poison, and Fire are, but not flying,

Do you think grass-types could have less weaknesses?
Yes. Remove Poison, I don't see why is grass weak against it. Poison could be super effective against bug you know. But then again, Leavanny and other Grass/Bug types...

Do you think grass-types could have less weaknesses?

Well I think that I'd be cool to have weaknesses and strengths match. Grass types are weak against ground, rock and water and strong against bug, fire, flying ice and poison. I think that either put in two more types it's strong against or remove two type's it's weak against. I think that taking out two would be more reasonable and that if we were to take out two I should be poison and grass. Don't know why but I feel like they should be out

Fire, Ice, Flying, Poison and Bug doesn't seem all bad. I don't think Grass-types need less weakness, they have only have. =x They make sense, as well. Flying types confuse me a little why it's super effective, though. Maybe it has to do more with wind and stuff rather than just birds? Every other weakness make sense. So, I think it's okay, I don't think it needs less weaknesses.

Kay guys, it seems to me like a new topic is in order! And I'm straight-up stealing this from somewhere else, but Which Generation do you think gave us the best grass Pokémon overall and why? I don't want to see things like "Oh Hoenn cause of Breloom" even though Breloom is the shizz because what I want is an overall evaluation of each region's newly introduced grass-types. That includes duals too btw.

Which Generation do you think gave us the best grass Pokémon overall and why?
Despite the fact that Hoenn got two of my favorite Grass types (Breloom and Tropius.), I'm going with Kanto. I know, it does have a lot of Grass/Poison types, but they're all just soo good. It even got Exeggutor, a Palm Tree Pokemon, and that alone just wins it for me.

Hi guys n___n Totally joining this club cause Grass is one of my favorite types!

Which Generation do you think gave us the best grass Pokémon overall and why?

Its hard to answer this question in a sense, because hey, I like literally all kinds of grass Pokemon, no matter what generation they're really from. Though if anything, like Spinosaurus, I'd have to go with Generation I that has all of the best grass types, and one reason is that it has my favorite grass type of all: Bulbasaur. The very Pokemon that got me into the series in the first place, really.

And then I'm pretty sure Vileplume and Victrebell came not too long after that. Those were also two other big favorites of mine. n___n I love them. ♥

Alsooo...

I can't really say which generation because I'm quite spread with my favourite grass types. Since both Chikorita and Treeko are two of my favourites I could toss between Hoenn and Johto, though then again I like being original and go with first gen like Bulbasaur and Oddish - too much to choose xD

Honestly, grass-types are pretty intense. They need weaknesses just to be equal!

A couple years ago I got Pokémon Gold, so my first Pokémon was Chikorita. LOVED that thing. Named it Yolan. Then the file was corrupted.

Celebi is one of my favourite Pokémon. Grass + Psychic + the ability to travel through time = ♥.

Hi, can I join please :3 My favourite grass types are Cherrim, Cherubi, Serperior, Venasaur and Bulbasaur. I like almost all the grass types though. I think they have the most engaging designs and are underrated.

Well.. it understandable why they are weak to poison, ice, bug and fire. As for flying... it has always seemed normal to me and I accepted that it makes sense. But really thinking about it, it doesn't really. They must have had a good reason for making grass types weak against flying, maybe because of the fact birds eat nuts, seeds and flowers and fruit. Also maybe because they nest in plants and trees, so they kinda use the plants however they want to in real life and plants are powerless to stop them. I think that is the reasoning, but I'm not positive.

It is a little sad though to see Snover and Abomasnow having the most type disadvantages out of all the pokemon (correct me if I'm wrong) being Ice/Grass though, since I always thought that was a unique combination.

Also I used to own a grass club like this :D it died

Topic Answer (Do you think grass types could have less weaknesses?): Although they have a lot of weaknesses, personally I think that it's more of a challenge and more fun this way. It just begs the user to use tactics, possibly even stalling, as opposed to sheer force to win a battle. When partnered with secondary typings, such as ice or bug, grass-type Pokémon do become even weaker, although they usually have a certain niche about them (Abomasnow/Snover with their insta-everlasting hail, and Leavanny has a very vast movepool). Then you could add a secondary steel-type, and Grass has lost most of its weaknesses.
tl;dr/couldn'treallydecipherwhatyouweretryingtosay grass is fine the way it is

Topic Answer (If applicable): Well, I absolutely don't get how flying is super effective against grass. Birds eat bugs which destroy grass, so its helping them. Probably Nintendo needed a filler and decided to tease grass types. This is also why Snivy has a bucher knife...

I think Grass type pokemon are fine the way they are. Every weakness is another challenge to me. There's been few battles my Leafeon has lost!

There's no one approving us poor little waiters.... :'(

Grass pokemon have many weaknesses, but you can block them easily with duel-types.
Like fire type with Ludicolo, flying type with Cradily.

Ooooh I want in... I lean towards the grass starters in the games so yeah~
