I don't know. You'd think they would wash it off after each battle, only common sense.
 
there probably was no time and did you know that no matter what a sword will always decay, NO MATTER WHAT i learned that from a lotr weapons and warfare book
 
The sword was reforged though, and was pretty much new. His other swords had nothing like that on it though.
 
im not talking about that i was just stateing some facts
 
Well, I'm still hopeful! I'm waiting for the extended edition! I sure hope they release it earlier, there doesn't seem like much of a point to release it in November, there's no lotr film to continue it from this year...*sniff*...hehe...
