Just a quick question: How can a Trainer remember exactly every move his pokemon has? I mean ash has like 30 tauros , Not to mention some extremely high-leveled pokemon. On the other hand we have Iris who knows her Axew only knows Scratch and later on, Dragon rage.
My idea is that because the trainers (lets take Ash for example), scan a specific pokemon for the data, when he catches it, the pokedex calculates that data,in order to show a list of the moves that pokemon has, means the anime is indeed following the games in some aspects.
Because, well....Ash has a terrible memory and recognition skills, it was shown in most episodes he can't understand Team Rocket is always disguising. And recent rivals like Cameron (who did not know you need 6 pokemon to fight a full match or 8 badges to participate in the league), or Barry (who did not remember Ash's name or where was he heading into a lot of times) and even Bianca (who forgot where did she put her pokeballs...)
because How else can These people with terrible memory remember the pokemon's moves??
