I'm almost done with my Fairy challenge! Here's my update.

Spoiler:

-Defeated Team Flare at the Poke Ball Factory.
-Defeated Team Flare in Frost Cavern.
-Trained everyone up to Olympia's level.
-Battled Calem in front of Anistar Gym.
-Challenged Olympia. I actually had a tough time against her Meowstic, and her Slowking gave me some trouble, too; however, I managed to beat her in the end.
-Defeated Team Flare at Lysandre Labs.
-Captured Yvetal and defeated Lysandre in Geosenge. I actually had a lot of difficulty with him -- both battles. His Gyarados in particular was a pain, since it had Iron Head.
-Beat Professor Sycamore in Couriway Town.
-Battled Shauna, Tierno, and Trevor on Route 19.
-Trained everyone up to Wulfric's level.
-I challenged Wulfric's gym... But, I accidentally forgot to buy any healing items! By the time I got to Wulfric, two Pokemon were fainted and one was at half health, but I decided to challenge him anyway. I had a lot of trouble with his Cryogonal, but I managed to beat him in the end with just one Pokemon left. :)

Not much to say or list off so il just sum it up right here. It was easy cruising until I got to lt.surge, he was troublesome and il leave it at that (about a week right there) then I basically swept through what was left of the gyms. As of right now I am grinding against Erika to get my pokes to a descent level.

A Fledgling's Emergence - Part 1

(I'll be doing this in a journal-ish form so I apologize for the TL;DR.)

And so I begin my journey with those that dwell in the sky. I was, admittedly, overeager. Trying to leave the town early. Luckily for me, Oak stopped me. Practically dragging me back to his lab, however, was both frightening and unnecessary. But he wanted me to pick my first pokemon! I couldn't really believe he would choose me, but then, his grandson had been a thorn in my side since we were young so I suppose it wasn't actually that shocking. I looked between the three. All of them stared up at me eagerly. After much deliberation, I reached out, claiming the Charmander as my own. Her name? Elima.

Luo, of course, picked Squirtle. He'd always do that! Wait for me to make my choice then make his to beat mine. It's why I never played Rock Paper Scissors with him anymore, that's for sure. But Elima wasn't about to back down. She took his squirtle down with ease. He left, begrudgingly, as I chuckled behind him. It seemed like type advantage wouldn't always get the win, and he would learn that in time. All the same, I smiled, said my goodbye to Oak, and set out, Elima at my side.

Or so I thought. Turns out by the next town I had to be his errand girl. A package had arrived for him in the pokemart there. A package that I had to deliver. So I trudged back, Elima making sure every Pidgey and Rattata we ran into regretted charging. I couldn't let my frustration get the better of me however. I plastered a smile on my face and gave him the parcel. In return he thrust a pokedex into my hands, as well as some pokeballs. A quick stop to Luo's sister for a map and I could begin my adventure for real this time.

I decided to forgo a Pidgey, despite a minor thought to do otherwise. Maybe another time. MY goal was a Spearow, which I found in Route 22. Fearing Elima would kill it, I threw a ball right away. And thus Nili was added to my roster. But before I could train her to Elima's level, there was one other thing I needed, which I found on route 2. Feeling the same fear, I still managed to get Rehan the Caterpie into my ranks. Quickly training them up to Elima's level and I was ready to continue exploration. And then... Luo stopped me again. Elima and Nili got a good workout and ultimately I did emerge victorious. At least he told me I couldn't proceed the direction I was going just yet. Which, admittedly, was really helpful. So I went through the forests instead, getting experience from the bug trainers therein.

Upon emerging I saw Pewter city in sight. I began to race towards it, excited to get my first badge. Yes, I knew I was at a sheer disadvantage in typing but that didn't stop me from battling Luo in the beginning! I went in with confidence, and despite the disadvantage, had very few issues in winning my first badge! Recieving a TM as well, that I likely wouldn't use, I turned and left. I was still shaky. I had beaten a gym leader! Hopefully it would be the first of many.

More trainers fell to my amazing trio, and before long I found myself standing before Mt. Moon. Within I found my next member, A Zubat named Wolmek. I began to train him to be on par with the others, preparing to proceed through Mt. Moon, to whatever treasures and dangers may await me within and beyond.

Breezed through first 2 gyms with Mudkip/Marshtomp, after beating Brawley caught an Abra for flash and then caught my first Rock type, Aron.

Now its time to griiiiiiiiind.

Hey everyone! I haven't updated anything in a while, but I have a lot of ongoing monotypes that I've been playing intermittently for the past few months, some of which I don't think I've signed up for yet. Since my summer break is started, I've decided to go through and finish all of the games I started one at a time! First, a proper sign up for some of the additional ultimates I have started:

So I finally got around to doing more of my challenge:

9th Update, Fire Challenge, Black 2
-caught Terrakion
-moved the Crustle in Seaside Cave
-boarded the Plasma Frigate

-Fought a crapload of Plasma grunts. There's 2 things I don't get about this part though: 1) There's a guy blocking the entrance to the southern part of the ship, but he's sleeping....can't I just sneak past him or something? 2) You have to deactivate those electrical barriers in order to proceed. Just for fun I touched it, and all that happens is a shocky sound and a message that says "Be careful! The barriers are electrified!" NO ♥♥♥♥ GAME, I KNOW THAT! But shouldn't I be dead? Or at least convulsing on the floor? Some barrier that is....

-Defeated Zinzolin. Pushover.
-after getting rudely thrown off the boat, I made my way to the Giant Chasm
-Hopped back on board the Frigate (man their security sucks) and single-handedly beat down the other half of the Neo Plasma army. Why is it that I do all the work around here anyway? Oh well, I loveses to fight *v*
-Defeated Colress. Colress was easy, since 4/5 of his party is Steel types. I thought he had a ghost in a washing machine, but I guess that's only post game.
-Became the sole audience member for one of Ghetsis's speeches, defeated the Shadow Triad
-followed Ghetsis into the depths of the Chasm and saw one of the game's very very few cutscenes
-Beat Black Kyurem. It's so powerful, but this fight is always so easy. And so then:

I beat up Ghetsis. No, not Sage Ghetsis. I didn't beat up Necrum. What's wrong with you people?

Anyway, like in Black1/White1, Ghetsis proves to be pretty much the storyline's only good opponent. I was worried there for a minute that he might beat me. Actually had to resort to using multiple Revives and healing items for this battle, and only Darmanitan was alive at the end of the battle with about 50% HP. Whew....

I defeated AZ a few moments ago, marking my second completed Ultimate under the sixth generation standard! I plowed through the final few routes and easily defeated the eighth gym leader, Wulfric. I just got through Victory Road and decided to plow straight in to battling the Elite Four (without my usual grinding and moveset adjusting). I defeated Drasna first, and then Malva who gave me a bit of trouble. I then defeated Siebold pretty easily, and finished up with Wikstrom who wasn't too bad. As for Dianca, the hardest members of her team were Hawlucha and, as usual, Gardevoir. The rest of her team fell pretty easily to my fighting types, however. After defeating her, AZ didn't pose much of a threat xD
As for my MVP, it would have to be Pangoro. It didn't really shine until it proved to be extremely helpful with most of the E4, as evidenced by its higher level. In addition, Hawlucha was a very reliable team member throughout the entire challenge.

Here's the first update for my Poison ultimate. I started this game on my phone a while back, and today I picked up where I had previously left off, which was just after catching Seviper. So I spent some time leveling him up, then traveled to Lavaridge town where I defeated Flannery. I tried to defeat Norman immediately afterwords, but I had to spend some time training in the desert before I was able to earn the badge. After that I surfed to the eastern half of Hoenn and saved after making it to Fortree City.
