The Monotype Challenge

So I'm almost 10 hours into my FireRed run.... I should probably post an update.

Part 1

Spoiler:

- After naming my rival Gurndo I acquire a beautiful Bulbasaur from an old man demanding I tell him my name and gender
- I name him Roze. I will name all my pok?children after flowers
- I make short work of Gurndo's fire lizard
- Blablabla grindgrindgrind
- I skip the 2nd Rival battle for now. It's scary, okay.
- While venturing through Petalbu Viridian Forest I capture a small girl who is also a Weedle. She is christened Juni
- More grinding
- Kakuna matata
- I make it to Pewter City
- Heal up
- Time to face Brock. My first gym battle. The excitement is killing me almost as much as the fear of what comes. Will I pass this test? Or will I be doomed to forever be a failu-
- Vine Whip
- Vine Whip
- Yay cool badge!

Part 2

Spoiler:

- I head to Route 3 to obtain the beast that will carry me through this run, probably single-handedly
- I name the Nidoran? Chrys. Like Chrysanthemum. Or a suburban child whose mother thought "it makes him unique"
- Grind
- I go back to Gurndo on Route 22 and crush his stupid smelly dreams
- Mt. Moon was uneventful. I found some rocks. Some looked moon-y and one had a weird spiral. Probably gonna throw em away
- Oh yeah, I caught a Zubat named Asp. I kind of switched the naming convention to plants in general. Time for the slowest grind uphill of all time
- Also caught a Clefairy cuz I thought it could be a HM slave
- I was wrong
- Catch an Ekans on the wy to Cerulean
- Name her Petunia
- Time to go up this bri- OH NO THERE'S A RIVAL FIGHT HERE OH GOD I FORGOT
- Crush his dreams again
- Bulbasaur evolves
- Talk to nerd with Pok?sona fetish
- Chrys gets spikier
- Face Misty
- This time it takes 3 vine whips. I can feel the adrenaline
- Cascade Badge secured

Part 3

Spoiler:

- Chrys steals one of the rocks I found in Mt Moon
- He bigg
- Give him a TM
- He digg
- MORE FLIPPIN' GRINDING
- Find some weed, name it Henry. I have given up on the naming convention.
- I get on a terrible cruise ship full of weirdly aggressive people
- Oh hey it's Gurndo again
- I'm starting to feel bad
- I give the captain the ol' rub and he gives me a cool CD he likes
- Catch a meowth
- Break into the gym
- Time to treat this veteran with the respect he deserves
- I manage to find a badge in the dirt while digging his grave
