6th Gen The Moving Truck

Everyone probably remembers starting their first game in RSE and getting thrown off by the scene of the player in the back of a truck full of boxes. Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald were the first and only Pokemon games to not begin with the player in their bedroom, and so I pose the question: Will the truck come back in ORAS, or will they resort to the more uniform option of starting in the players' room?

You'll start in the back of the moving truck with the roller skates on, so you'll slide about and it will be an even worse and more dangerous experience than riding in the back of the moving truck in the original.

In all seriousness, I hope this returns, but with the graphical improvements I hope it makes a bit more sense. Riding in the back of a moving truck with all those boxes is dangerous; the boxes aren't even secured down! Just make it look more reasonable, and I'd be happy.

But regardless of whether they change it up or not, I can't imagine them removing it--there's really no other way to start RSE. You did just move to Hoenn. You could start in your room, go downstairs, and see the Pokémon moving your stuff around, sure, but that doesn't really feel the same, convey as much information, as starting in the moving truck. That's just how new you are to Hoenn--if it was just you starting in your room, with the moving Pokémon below, you could theoretically have been there for a few days already. But starting in the moving truck? Those are literally your first steps into Hoenn, into a whole new region, and you're already off on a new adventure!

I liked the addition of the truck to RSE. It was something different and made the introduction to Hoenn more exciting. I can't see them taking it out at all and making you start in your room; if they do, it's their loss for not making the trucks and boxes in 3D.

I found the truck scene to be like someone taking you into a room blind folded than removing it. It me anticipate Hoenn even if the scene was only a few seconds long.

Maybe its cause there's someone driving it and your mom is taking the front seat? I honestly have no idea why they'd stick their kid in the back, though. I don't see why they would change it, since there's no reason to really do so.

Cause there were two guys at the front seat? :D There's usually two of them in a moving truck.

Because you overslept and they drove your mom first to your new home aaannndd...they hated you so much that they didn't wake you up. Or you just lived with your grandparents or something while your parents lives in Hoenn because they couldn't afford to keep you and then when your dad became a gym leader they finally had enough money for a new place and they could afford you to stay with them. Mean? Maybe...

I assumed she got out of the front and opened the door since maybe you couldn't open it from the inside? I dunno honestly I just assumed a lot of things. Are you going to make me question everything Gunner?! :P

Well, what I want is the truck to have a bigger size, and space inside.
There's something else I want though. CAN'T THE PLAYER JUST HAVE THE SHOTGUN!?

I think the truck will return, but then your mom will talk and talk, then you head over to the route instead of going upstairs.

I personally think that the truck may return, but with the opening cutscene when the truck stops at the player's house. I'm not sure if the player will come out automatically or still in there in the beginning, though.

Lol in the Pokemon world, you're just luggage to your mom until you get your pokemon.
No pokemon? = You ride in the back bro.

He probably tried to find the secret Mew under the truck after beating the E4 a million times but was shoved in the back by his Mom and moved to Hoenn...

I don't really see why we'd have to speculate if that truck would be returning or not, haha. They usually don't remove anything in remakes; rather, they add more stuff to give you a better and more fun experience. Only way you could see them get rid of something is when fans complain about it extremely. d:

Exactly that! It would be great if they could move you up into the front seat and whatnot, right beside the driver.

This was such a unique way to start the game, so I hope they don't scrap this little beginning scene. Imagine arriving in Littleroot Town at night in a moving truck but in 3D.

if they keep it, then it'll probably take me a while to get the nerve to step out and see the whole new world of Hoenn. xD

I really see no reason why they'd remove the truck, and I hope they don't. Perhaps they could show it travelling towards Hoenn, and then the camera backs off the track into the sky and gives you a full view of Hoenn from above, just like in a movie. That'd be awesome...
