Do you still remember the good old NES Classic Edition that was released a while back? This mini-sized NES was on the demand by many, but sadly it was getting discontinued when it's still pretty hard to get for some of us, which caused many disappointments that still lingers even when SNES Classic is already announced.

However, there's a good news, folks! Nintendo has recently announced that NES Classic Edition is set to return in the next summer of 2018. What do you think of this? Do you think Nintendo shouldn't discontinue the NES Classic in the first place? Do you think Ninty shouldn't make the same mistake again? Discuss away.

They also said they are going to restock the SNES Classic as wel, so for those gamers who want to try out Star Fox 2 you got a second chance to knab a system.
I saw that and I'm really happy. I probably won't be able to get one when they relaunch, but hopefully the prices on sites like amazon go down...

My guess is the immediate demand will keep the prices steadily high. However, if Nintendo decides to mainstream it by keeping a constant supply for the console going, than we could see a dip in the price for it.

Bleh.. Feels like this is just another easy cash grab from Nintendo. The NES Classic should not have been such a limited release in the first place, and since they made that decision, why not keep it that way?

I hope that someday, Nintendo will learn that making sought after items as limited as the NES Classic isn't necessarily a good thing. You only end up with angry fans who didn't even have hope on putting their hands on said item.

Wouldn't you say though that by increasing the supply of the NES Classic, you are in turn minimizing the amount of angry fans by giving them what they want? (:

To a certain extent, yes. I guess it will depend on the number of units they plan to re-release. On the other hand, what about the fans who payed top dollar for a system because scalpers hoarded all the preorders to sell them for $300-400 a pop? And those who waited for hours in front of a store only to find out that said store recieved 2 units? I'd feel robbed and cheated. I really think they dropped the ball on the NES Classic launch and I feel like it's too little too late to try to redeem themselves. I just hope the SNES Classic launch will be better.
