I think they shouold not make any more new pokemon, especially legendarys, but make it that you can get event pokemon in-game without an event, and also compile all the regions into one "ultragame" that would end the creation of new regions, and then just go back to Johto,Kanto, Hoenn, and maybe even make a Ranger sequel, but please, please, pllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaassssssseeeeeeeeeeeeee Nintendo, do not make more legendarys, as nobody can get half of them unless they trade, and most people dont trade aaway event pokemon (although i guess they will with Phione, as as long as you have Manaphy you can keep making more of them.

I couldn't agree more about the pick your age feature. Being 10 when you're twice as old is kind of annoying.:\

No just more Pokemon that have been discovered yet... WHY CANT THEY LEARN TO USE A PHONE?!?!?!

I hope i am in the right section, first off. Anyway, yay, we have a confirmed Platinum which means hello Platina in manga. Anyway, it is really starting to get repetitive in the game sequels. Hooray, we get a new battle place, hooray, we get a new gym leader, hooray hooray HOORAY. But what is next. Don't get me wrong, i like the idea of Platinum, but Arceus is dubbed as "GOD." So we have another trio, but is it the end of the games? You can't get more advanced if you made a god to the pokeverse...

Who names their kid Platina? Poor Miss Berlitz.

I don't really know how much more advancements we need. I think we have enough. But, as long as they can keep making money, Nintendo's gonna dish out more, and it's going to get ridiculous.

I dont, as many others, want Pokémon dying, but we all know this is getting repetitive. I think this should be the last generation as well. But we will all miss Pokémon as it was. I think they should totally remake the features. Scrap the same storyline they've had for years or at least make it different. Focus more on competitive battles instead of having trainers using six Magikarp. Tons of things could be made. I would really want the next game to be incredibly different from the others, just keeping the same battle system. And they could also the opportunity to fix a few things such as having both Nidoran in the same Dex Entry and ordering it by evolutions again.

But, in the way we all know Pokémon games, Platinum (because a G/S remake will probably never come out) should be the last game.

I'll agree here.

I was really hoping that it would end with generation three...the the DS came out, and I knew 'oh snap! more!' which was bitter-sweet. I want it to go on, but at the same time I'm sick of seeing really creepy Pokemon(Carnivine, Bidoof, Yanmega, Lickilicky, the list goes on). All the evos is like saying 'we won't give you a Gold and Silver remake, so we'll just evolve all those Pokemon!'

In my opinion, Nintendo should latch onto the digital generation, and simply bring out updates for Diamond, Pearl and Platinum every so often. As has been discussed, the DS game card is taken up only by a fraction of data for the games, so there is much room for expansion. Although knowing Nintendo, they will almost certainly charge you for such updates. Plus, it would probably be difficult to implement these updates, and keep them compatible with unupdated versions.

Agreed. And if you wanted an update you would more than likely have to go to your nearest Toys-R-Us to get it.

But I would personally like the continuation of the games. The more Pokemon there are to choose from, the more unpredictable Wi-Fi is. It simply makes the game much more exciting.

Agreed, a new generation is always good and something to look forward to. The only thing I'm worried about is if they ruin the series by dragging it on too long.

Lets face it; Pokemon is going to live on until Ash is rotting away in an old folks home... Pokemon will forever live on! Mario has done it, hes been going for decades and is still ploughing on as youthful as ever even with the zimmerframe chained to his wrists. They can always replace Ash with a different character. Of course this would lose the original fanbase, but hey, if Ash is gonna die we all have to accept it damnit!

All sort of ideas can be chucked into it. Like, they could go down a Final Fantasy route and make it based in a different time, or just more of a developed story. If they carried on with the simple Ash story, I wouldn't stand for it much longer. There used to be a time when I bought the game for the story. Now I want it to battle poke's against REAL people over cyberspace! So I guess the story wouldn't be paid much attention to anyway with this new feature. But I REALLY want Game Freak to push the boat out a little at least and change it! I mean, we can always play the old story if we want. Perhaps if they gave us the option to 'save the world' as well as 'ultimate pokemon master'... I want a new direction, kthnx?

Maybe give us an ACTUAL POKEMON GAME ON A CONSOLE!!!!*Dramatic music plays*

This is such a great idea! If they did this, think of the possibilities! Pokemon would probably be in 3D with the extra space available for storage, they'd be able to enhance the battle system, the map, the gameplay...! Maybe the trainer would be able to be modified, changing clothes, facial features, height, weight, anything you can think of... this would bring a new dimension to the customizing front. Simply changing names would be a thing of the past!

And with the capabilities of online play now pretty much broad over most consoles coming out now, it wouldn't half increase the amount of people playing the game. The only thing I would be worried about on that though, would be... having to pay a monthly fee or something to play online and battle people. That would be so horrible! I want it for free! If I pay for the game then surley that is all I need!

Unless of course it was on an Xbox similar thing, in which case it would be a separate fee anyway. That would be cool. But still...!

Actually, Nintendo announced a while ago a Pay & Play service where "collecting fees for some services will allow us to adapt flexibly," so expect at least a tad bit of Wii Points usage if they ever release a serious Pokémon RPG-like game on the Wii.

You know its possible that they may continue till the 1000th pokemon.
I mean Its been here for a while and nintendo has ben geting richer so don't hold your breath for the series of games to end. It's also in a way like power rangers. All thought its very annoyning to some of us teens and adults there always be kids who would watch them anyway and buy the toys and games. same goes for pokemon. if theres always a world full of kids ,nether companies will cease prodution.

oh those of you gold and sliver fans listen to this: DuskGold,DawnSilver Nintendo has aready copyrighted those names.
It could possiby be a remake!!!

I think it should continue as yes the GSC Remake would be big (which will probably happen) and also, why keep with the hero thing? They should make special editions of FRLG, DP, and RSE in which you are one of the team grunts (or higher) and its the same story but instad of being the Hero, be the villain. Know what I mean. You are doing what the villains did in the games like in the RSE version. Instead of preventing awaking the Legendaries, your goal would be to awaken them.

*sigh* No, it doesn't. For instance - the website domain names of Opal, Topaz, and a million other gems had been taken by Nintendo, yet they then went with Platinum. And Pokemonplatinum domains hadn't yet been taken. Nintendo have already a bunch of names most probably if they do plan to have a GSC remake (which I hope fore, BTW), but they may not necessarily use them Also, I'm not sure anyone as yet completly verified that those names ARE taken, other than 'omg this forum/site said so!'. So take such with a grain of salt. Name could turn out to be anything - first just wait from verification from Nintendo about the such - or from the 'big' websites, such as Serebii.net or Coro Coro magazine.

As I said before - as long as Pokemon still makes profit (record sales for Diamond/Pearl clearly show they do more than that), then they'll keep making more games. Plus, there'll always be new gamers to come to the Pokemon scene.

I just don't understand how they can "discover" so many pokemon at once, and have a "new" region, where there are already civilized people and cities and towns. In addition there is also no additions to any former pokedex. I just think they have a bunch of new things up their sleeves that will just follow the same thing OVER AND OVER again (hopefully not) and Nintendo is gonna kill themselves.

That wouldn't really be possible. I never thought Nintendo to be prone to releasing updates to already-released games that often. They'd just make new ones.

I only want more games if they come up with a more creative plot and pokemon but so far its only gone downhill.

Gotta catchem all is going to be impossible soon, but they shouldn't stop making games, for 7 reasons
1. Muny
2. Muny
3. Muny
4. Don't dissapoint fans
5. Reputation
6. Muny
7. Wait, did I say Muny

and Arceus is not dubbed as "GOD", If you think back, so was lugia, mewto, ho-oh, mew, groudon

uhm, one problem bro. Groudon was never labled "God" Around that time it was Raquaza and deoxys. Groudon and Kyogre wasnt much really. At least not godz.

how about they actually recruited some of the fans who are about ten (so they can't get too over the top) the games would be great, the games would be challenging
maybe they should make the games in usa/uk in english, then releasing them then translating them
