That poses another problem, though: I'm used to writing as me, and doing it quite casually as well...

RPing like this and actually RPing is nothing alike. Most people prefer if you RP'd in third person, rather than in first person.

I guess... well, I've never had that problem, you just need to think what your character would say... that's what I was doing with MysteryCharacter. he's a person i've made before, a master battler, very withdrawn, but affectionate to his pokemon.

It's actually pretty easy when you get the hang of it. What you do need to watch out for though, is to make sure that your character is a mary-sue or a gary-stu.

No worries, I know about Sues. I've made fun of them on many an occasion in my writings.

What universe would the roleplay be in? Pokemon?

Yeah, PokeVerse. I think there are only three universes I can work in: PokeVerse, PotterVerse, and Discworld.

My friend and I like sticking characters from other universes into a certain verse, because of our love for different fandom. aka crossovers. XD;

I'm good with PokeVerse, though~ It's the one I tend to do when I roleplay with her.

I like subtly referencing things to people or in my writing to see what reactions it gets~

Haha. XD I love referenced to other things. In videos, books, etc etc. I think one of the best references I've seen is the Titanic reference in Tales of Symphonia.

I like playing spot-the-reference in Pratchett novels~ There are so many it's hard not to find at least one~
