Cause that was like a HUUUUUUUGE Metroid reference

/Space Pirates are the main antagonist force in Metroid. They created Mother Brain, Kraid and Ridley(who is also Samus' long time nemesis) and they try to use Metroids as power sources and also try to use the power of Phaazon to do the same thing.

Though they are basically the same thing.....

Also, I tried playing the original Metroid once, I was fail at it, like major fail, and not even the epic kind..... :o

/Space Pirates are also responsible for the death of Samus' parents as when they attacked Samus' home colony, they brought Ridley and the Space Pirates and Ridley destroyed everything and killed everyone 'cept Samus' (who Sammy thinks was a little kid at the time) and Samus' fathher died fighting Ridley (Sammy thinks) which is why Samus' has a big grudge on Ridley.The Chozo then adopted her and infused her with Chozo-blood, which (along with training) gave her the acrobatic skills that she has, and also the Chozo gave her the Power Suit she wears (thanks to the Chozo's advanced technological supremecy over any being in the galaxy (even the Luminoth's or Space Pirates' technology can't compare with Chozo technology))

Sorry I don't know much about Metroid stuff. :S

The real cuase is unknown...

Some think it was because of Space pirate raidings or an overpopulation of Metroids

Or it could be that they ascended to a higher spiritual plane (they were spiritual beings)
But Sammy believes most of the Chozo on Tallon IV died out from radition/impact of the Leviathian/Phaazon meteor that crashed into Tallon IV
