For the CSS part, you have this page which should explain you the basics. For the Graphics making part, you have to get Photoshop or GIMP or whichever graphics program like that, then read some tutorials in the G&P section. :D

EDIT: That page is good to learn the basics. The more advanced things, well, you'll have to google them or something.

I'll do the graphics first, then the CSS coding.
One question BTW; is it mandatory that you have to use FireFox?

Nope but you should be using FF anyway, it's better for CSS and stuff too
