I sometimes wonder why junk food is so much cheaper than healthier foods. It makes no sense to me. $1 will buy you a huge burger, but it won't buy you anything healthy.

143933. It's because people are willing to pay for healthier foods... and junk food has better shelf life than just about anything else.

Oh, yeah. I forgot about the shelf-life. If only healthy food could have a longer shelf-life, then things would be better (possibly).

143935. There is always the option of maintaining a garden, but there's only so much that can be grown at a time, and Minnesota's short growing season isn't friendly to vegetables.
