The Nuzlocke Challenge

Well, Imma go give this a shot! I'd love me a good challenge. :D LET'S DO THIS.

Optional Rules:
You must nickname all of your Pokemon. (highly recommended)
You must change the battle style to SET.
You may not use held items.
You may not use/catch legendary Pokémon.
You may only use PokéBalls.

On to the next challenge... Continuing my FireRed run and starting a Heartgold one.
 
Well, I seem to have lost my file. Ita not showing up on my computer anymore, so I'm going to end it. I may start one in a different game though.
 
I ended up playing a Crystal Nuzlocke, it's been a while since my last nuzlocke, and I forgot how fun they are, I don't like nicknaming my Pokemon, so I just don't(it's an optional rule anyway).

I'm just doing the two required rules.
1. If a Pokemon faints, release it.
2. If I fail to catch a Pokemon, too bad.

I'm always too lazy to type every detail, so, I'll post my progress.

Whitney beat my whole team, so that's game over :(, I'll play again on White 2.

Kind of embarrassed as how my Nuzlocke ended... I accidentally ran into a Trainer that has a Magnetmite and a Voltorb in Mt. Moon. Well, I had Squirtle, Spearow, Zubat and Magikarp....The only Pokemon that survived was Magikarp...which knows Splash...

I think I might just start again...

I started my White 2 nuzlocke, and it's surprisingly easier than Crystal.

Got my 4th Badge(Elesa).
I also caught the DW Minccino for my Route 5 Pokemon, it's after beating Elesa, so that's why I mentioned it.

All right, I guess I'll just sign up for this to make it official.
I already started with this challenge a while ago with Bloody Platin (I felt like suffering.). I didn't find anything about hacks being not allowed in the rules, so I'm just going to assume that hacks are okay.

I've been slacking off on this challenge lately.


  • Headed down Route 22 to get to the Pokemon League
  • Had a battle against Gary,but lost both Sea Dragon and Fatty to his Charizard(R.I.P Sea Dragon and Fatty)
  • Killed a Psyduck on Route 23
  • Caught a Onix in Victory Road named Rock Snake
  • Wondered around Victory Road until I was forced to leave due to low supplies and low PP for moves
  • Decided to head over to the Game Corner so I can win Thunder Bolt for Spikey
  • After getting Thunder Bolt, I headed back over to Victory Road and after a little while of walking around, finally made it out of the cave.
  • After healing my pokemon, I decide to train everybody to at least 50(Difficult goal since Omanyte is very low leveled)
My next update should at least have me at the first member of the Elite 4.

Picked back up my Silver Nuzlocke after a long break from it. I started at Olivine, and just defeated the Red Gyarados. Added Krabby in Olivine (I think, could have been the sea route, not really sure where the border is) that I boxed after he got me to Cianwood and back, Goldeen east of Ecruteak, and Pidgeotto north of Mahogany. I am pleased to report that nobody has died yet. Quilava, Ampharos, and Kadabra are each around Lv. 30, and Pidgeotto, Goldeen, and Graveler are around 26.
 
My first nuzlocke. I'm losing my mind.

In-Game name: Kaiza
Game: Crystal

Optional Rules: Must nickname all pokemon (except the dogs, because they're more or less quest items, and I will release them afterwards.), kill all legendaries, train at least one pokemon to lv. 100, and beat red. This will be my first Lvl 100, too. I'm (houn)doom-ed.

Modification to can only catch first pokemon per area: I have to hunt the dogs, so it won't apply to them.


UPDATE: I died.

Quick little update; I made it to the Elite Four, still with no casualties. Typhlosion (then still a Quilava) did get down to 6 HP once though.
 
I haven't been able to get too much done with Heartgold. I'll update on that later. I might also do a Soulsilver Randomizer Nuzlocke(Provided I can actually find a working code... Ugh).
Also, I'm thinking about doing either a comic or a story again. Which one should I pick?

And here's a much needed first update. By the way, some rules I put down for myself, included with the regular Nuzlocke rules -
1. Each area in the Safari Zone is a unique area for catching. This is for more diversity in the Pokemon I capture.
2. No duplicates.
