I got my character profile ready(mostly) :

Name: Cassandra
Age: 15
Kingdom: Antarctic
Pearl Voice: Amethyst
Personality: Usually very friendly, but a little shy. At times, though, she gets angry and confronting.
Mermaid Form Description: She looks nearly exactly the same as her mother, Karen, except for her hair, which is slightly shorter than shoulder length, and with a stripe of blonde on the left side of her hair.
Human Form Description: In her human form, her hair is blonde with a single lock of hair on the right side of her head dyed purple. She normally wears loose-fitting clothes, usually a purple tie-dye tank top and some light-colored shorts. She is never seen without a pair of lavender-tinted glasses covering her eyes.
Voice Form Description: Her hair gets longer than in her mermaid form.
Bio: She was raised underwater, but ran (er- swam) away after a fight with her mother about a week before her 14th birthday. She intended to go live with her aunt in the arctic, but got sidetracked on the way, and ended up staying in the US (California, to be exact).

Did I leave anything off?
 
Would it be a good idea to colorize who's singing what?

Example:

Amethyst alone

If you want me to post some lyrics here for the non-Mermaid Melody songs we'll use, let me know.
 
I know all of the ones from The Little Mermaid... but if you were thinking about using any from other shows, then please post those, because I'm not familiar with them. (The only one that I know from Jem is the theme song, but I don't think that'd work without being altered, heh.)
 
I have a lot of Jem songs, so I'll be posting those...Maya (my character) would mainly sing those, since she is a sort of rock star

1) Great profiles, Kayleigh and Kenji-kun! I'm getting really excited to start this role play~

2) I think that using songs from other things is a great idea, EmeraldSky~ If I sent you some lyrics from a japanese band I like, would you be able to translate them into English for me?

3) I like the color idea too. Mostly because mine is pretty. Is someone going to list the songs chosen?
 
If I had the MP3 as a reference, that'd be great, because I need to hear the rhythms of the words to translate it right.

I'll keep track of the song list and include it in any FAQ thread we make.

I had a story all typed up, but I lost it...my other concern is if we should make it closed, meaning just us four for now.
 
We could do that... Or we could have it so we'd only accept one or two more people in the actual role play thread. But you can decide~~
 
I personally would close it, but let's see what everyone says first.
 
I'm sort of an RP newb, so I think it would be better for the rest of the club to decide. -__-" Maybe it would be good to close it. Or make is so only members of the club can participate.
 
If you only want members of the club to participate, you can either say so in the RP title, or there should be an option while making the thread.

I do have a name suggestion for the RP: Mermaid Melody: Shards of the Rainbow Pearl
