That feeling, I know quite well. I tend to be much too self-concious of my writing to show the bulk of it.

I love psyduck! And yes, that is a perfect moment for him to pop up. What happened to him anyway? I haven't seen him for a while. He pulled a Jigglypuff on us(I miss him...or is Jigglypuff a girl?).
 
^Psyduck is so funny! He should suddenly pop up during a scene when Ash and Misty are alone, and they start to blush furiously! XD

Carina, I love the Luvdisc scene! Here's how my scene (if I were the writer) would go:

Pokedex: Luvdisc will use attract on people to make them fall in love.

Ash: Whaa--?!

Misty: So... you mean... Luvdisc, you used attract on me and Ash?

Luvdisc: Luv! *swims around happily*

Ash & Misty: Blush

Misty thinking: What do I say now?

Ash thinking: What should I say?

Ash & Misty: Ummm... *Blush*

Ash: Y-you go f-first.

Misty: N-no you go f-first.

Ash & Misty: *BLUSH*

Brock: Sorry to burst your bubble you guys, but Luvdisc never used attract in the first place =_=

Ash & Misty: *BLUSH* I KNEW THAT! I was just pretending!

Normally, I like sugary. But... No. That just don't work for me. it's like the (all too numerous) campfire fics.
 
Most Fanfics Suck!

Most fanfics suck. They are either too sugary or too sexual. I'd like to see one that remains consistent with the Pokemon series. Some of the fanfics that people come up with completely change the characters personalities. Not only that, but the romantic tension between Ash and Misty is quite unconvincing. It makes me feel like that's all there really is. Some Ash and Misty pre-making out scenes...but without the making out scenes. But this is all based on my opinion. What do you guys think?:classic:
 
Or here's a novel idea: how about a fanfic sometime that has Ash and Misty but no AAML? I don't think anyone knows how to keep things professional and innocent anymore o_O

That would defeat the purpose of a fanfic. It's supposed to remain consistent to the series but have them under a situation which would most probably never happen in the actual series. I personally read fanfics for the AAML. Tell you what, if I wanted to read a fanfic without AAML, I would just watch a pokemon episode.

By the way: What skins do you guys have? I've got the Midnight Misty skin. It matches my name. I live in the shadows. I'm like shadows in pitch black 'cause you know not much of me. Muahahahahaha...hahahahahaha!:bandit:
 
Well, a pokemon fanfic has to be about pokemon, not AAML...it's just that there are a lot of interesting things could happen with Ash and Misty in the same story without them being all over each other.

I'm using Red's Flame because my mom would disapprove of Midnight Misty if she saw it (for obvious reasons =p). Midnight Misty is my absolute favorite, though.

You're mother gets angry over THAT? Wow! But I feel your pain. My mother is the same way. Luckily, she's not that strict and can't use a computer if it was a pocket calculator.

By the way, I read fanfics for AAML. A fanfic should have AAML for me to be interested. As far as I'm concerned, if it doesn't have AAML, the fanfic has lost its purpose.

I got lucky, my parents are not into computers so the one I am on right now is actually my own. They wont even go near a PC. On the subject of fanfics.... I always would like to see a non-AAML story but if Ash and Misty are there, it always heads into a love story. Oh well, I would write my own but I stink in that department. My skills lie in my art but I too set my standards too high and it causes so many of my sketches to stay tucked away in my sketchbook.

Well anyway, I caught pokemon on Cartoon Network today and had to post this pic.

What I personally would like to see is a Ash/Misy fic where their relationship is somewhat like that of Drizzt and Catti-brie from R.A. Salvatore's forgotten Realms novels, e.g. where the romantic feelings are quite obvious, but it never actually comes quite to the head that everyone's expecting. I mean, a head, yes, but not the typical, "Oh, I've always loved you" deal. That, and I have some thoughts on usng Ahs's mom and a nice scene with that. Hmmm... New idea...

As for skin, right now I'm on Claire's Darkness Prevails. Just 'cause I styill have fond images of that cute wickle Umbreon devouring May's flesh.

It's possible, yet really difficult to pull off. I came really close to doing so one time, but AAML managed to weave its way into my story.
 
I'd have to agree with Carina that the writers have a secret promise to the pokeshippers that Ash and Misty will end up marrying each other in a future series of pokemon

I am currently working on my own pokemon fan fic where Ash goes to live with Misty in Cerulean City and gets a job as a emergency response specialist at the power plant near Cerulean City... at some stage during the story Ash & Misty end up working side by side at a emergency which arises in the plant, Brock also comes along helps out with the emergency

I'm not 100% percent sure when i'll be posting it on this site as i've just started on it
 
mistywishmaker, I've just finished reading your fanfic! It's really good but I didn't expect Misty to shout aloud at Ash for not asking her to dance. :P

I also prefer fanfics where the characters don't act...out of character, over exaggerate emotions, or suddenly gain the confidence to confess "I love you". I'd be happier reading a fanfic with many hints than reading one where there's the cliche confession at the end. :nervous:
And the idea with Ash's mum was something heaps of pokeshippers were hoping for when Misty returned recently. But alas...*sigh* :sleeping:
 
Read it

I read your fanfic and I must say...that is the best fanfic I have read...ever. It has the making of a good episode. Here is a list of pros and cons.

Pros:
It includes AAMayL content. The May fan in me kinda wanted to see that.

There is Team Rocket included in the fanfic. I love Team Rocket, by the way, I don't care what people say. They add life to a dull scene and their wacky antics make me laugh all the time.:bandit:=I'm calling this smiley the Team Rocket Smiley.

It plays like a real pokemon episode.

It sounds like the actual characters. Their personalities were not altered too excessively like in other fanfics.

Cons:
After the "?Misty?Hey! Hello, Ash! Are you, like, going out with my little sister now?? Daisy asked cheerfully" scene, both Ash and Misty laughed it off. Misty and Ash would never laugh over such a suggestion. That, to me, made it seem like they really didn't like each other. It made it seem like it was something to laugh at. The real Ash and Misty would take such a suggestion seriously but would deny it all the way because they are both stubborn.

Team Rocket left the scene too early. They blew themselves away. It was as if their presence there was of little significance. I would of like to have seen them be the reason for Ash and Misty finally finding each other in the festival.

Overall: This is a great fanfic and I would like to read the next chapter. I'm giving it an 8.5/10:classic:.
 
I like how Team Rocket appeared. It made me go "Aww man...Not NOW!" just like in the anime. ^_^
And it's always fun to read how Daisy, Violet and Lily, like, talk. lol :D
