Hi.
I just want to make an important announcement in regards to our cause:
We shall submit our Global Petitions/Global Boycott letters on November the 26th, 2007. We will need to get more signatures if needs be. Also, the Letters threatening boycott have to go in this format:
a. write to the addressee
b. state that on the behalf of the entire Misty fanbase, they should Bring Misty Back! Also list your reasons why.
c. tell them that Misty is Immensely popular even in Japan (Be sure to use polls quotes from various members of the various forums and other things as proof of this.
d. state the pros and cons of bringing her back.
e. give them the ultimatum (IE. either they bring Misty back onto the main cast or we will boycott their franchise.), and also tell them that enclosed are the petitions for bringing misty back to prove that we aren't bluffing, and tell them that many other letters and petitions are well on their way.
f. sign your real name as well as your screenname(s)
Also, any newly joined members may take longer if needs be and submit them later.
And as a final reminder, the address that we are sending it off to isThe Pokemon Company, 1-8-1 Marumouchi Trust Tower, 18S Marumouchi, Chiyoda-Tokyo, 105-0005 Japan, and i am pretty sure that Satoshi Tajiri does indeed write the episodes considering that the ending credits seem to list him as the creator of the anime (the credits say "Created by: Satoshi Tajiri").
anyways, onto the current topics:
In regards to what Misty will be wearing for halloween? well, i don't really know, actually. she might suit well as a goldeen.
Anyways, from what a person on Pokemon elite forums said in regards to Misty, apparantly in regards to female fanbases, Misty has 67% of the fanbase.
In regards to when was the first time i liked misty, hmm, i think it was the first ep. since i like all characters equally (well, save for may/dawn, for the reasons i have mentioned), but my fanatic loyalty for misty started way back in Princess vs. Princess, because she was the only female protagonist to not be of the Female anime stereotype.
@Crystal Clair: Look, I understand your decision of retiring from bringing misty back (though, If you feel you need to rejoin the cause, feel free to do it.) , I just wanted to say that, could you please use a synonym for "embrace the new stuff"? I mean, no offense to you doing it, its just that the whole "embrace new things" doesn't seem to bode well with me considering how some media seems to portray embracing the new stuff as "screwing over/forgetting the old things and focus solely on the new".
Take "Opus" for example. they had multiple cartoons dealing with this philosophy. they even went AS far as to make a cartoon where Opus is selling newspapers and this UPS worker with an Ipod (At least, I thought he is a UPS worker considering that he was wearing a brown uniform) repeatedly asking Opus what a newspaper is (Despite the mere fact that you can find Newspapers practically everywhere, even if you don't get it delivered to your door.). Now note, i don't feel that New things, in itself, is a bad thing, but completely forgetting about the old and focusing solely on the new things is a bad thing.
Now, that wasn't meant to offend you, Crystal Clair, or any other members who decided to embrace the new things, I was just stating that the term "embracing the new things" makes me feel uncomfortable due to the reasons I stated.
@Kasu-Chan: While I do despise "Love Hina", It's a very good pic that you drew. Now, as long as you don't warp Misty's personality to become almost an exact replica of the female anime stereotype, I won't mind if the fanart is based off it. No offense, of course.
@Kasumi: Do you still have the petition with you? because if you do, you may have to send it off on November the 26th.
@Sea Guardian: Of course you can Join the club.
anyways, that is all for now.
P.S. Be absolutely sure that you guys add the date of delivery onto your calendars.
