How about a new topic? What first made you like Misty?
Gosh, ya know I cant even remember why. I guess because I usually like the female protagonist of a series.

Btw, I thought of a really interesting theory that leads to another interesting theory
Misty's heritage
everyone assumes Misty's Irish because she's a red head but what they dont take into thought is of her other sisters. We've got Violet with blue hair, Daisy with blonde and Lily with pink

Theory 1: Misty's mother could have remarried one time and that's why Misty looks so different from her sisters
Theory 2: one of Misty's sisters were from a previous marriage
Theory 3: Misty was adopted (I dont like this one though, it makes everything boring, not to mention Daisy has a quite similar hair color)
depending on what theory is most likely, we'd have to guess the color of the father's hair color over 3 different times, making heritage seem even more complex.

IIRC, Violet is the oldest sister, which means if anyone was from a previous marriage, it was Violet. It seems pretty likely as Lily, Daisy and Misty all have colors in the same area on the chart. Maybe Misty's daddy has maroon hair and Misty's mom has blond and Misty's mother's previous husband had black/blue
interesting

what are your thoughts?

I don't know, for some reason, I can't imagine her being Irish. It's extremely difficult to determine what heritage she is just by her looks and personality. I don't maybe there is a possiblity that she is something else, but I guess that's one thing that isn't meant to be resolved.

About her sisters, I always thought that all of the sisters are from the same marriage. Think about it. Let's say that the mother was a blond [like you said] but also had the triats for red/orange colored hair while the father must have the violet hair trait. So if you combine them together, you could get 75 percent warm colored hair, and then 25 dark colored hair. Warm colors would be Daisy, Lily, and Misty while the only dark haired one is Violet. Crazy, no? xD

I always thought that Daisy was the oldest, or else she wouldn't be starting to accept responsiblity from Misty. I don't know, Violet isn't that responsible, and the same with Lily, but then gain, we can't assume this sort of stuff. Violet I would assume to be the second, then Lily as the third, and Misty last. That was the way I have thought of the sisters.

I think we would really need the possible genotypes and phenotypes of the parents, and then we could get percentages of the offsprings, but since we don't have the parents, then this is very difficult to determine. But then again, that's my little theory. ^^

Kasu-chan, is that picture from a dvd? Your dvd perhaps?
I have the torrent of the entire Kanto season and the colors aren't as bright and the lines are kinda blurry.
It's a good quality pic. Most captures from that season aren't that great of quality.

Woah O.O <3

Hey Guys! I guess there's a lot of stuff to comment about-- but I'll make it short =]

What first made you like Misty?

When I was a young lad, I used to be fascinated by cartoons, but normal american ones usually deviated from my interests-- since many didn't follow a proper structure in my opinion and expressed enough of heart. Then game-- Sailor Moon and from that moment on-- I spotted a commercial of Pokemon! I instantly came and sat for the first episode -- it was awesome and that's where I saw Misty and Ash! When the general team came together, Pokeshipping had begun to develop =] It was really a memorable experience and I appreciate just the amount of love and care the seasons that started the show had ^_^. Now that Misty is gone, it feels empty-- a little desolate and nostalgic. I have high hopes for her return.. truly, and until then, my interests in the show have fluttered and need some Elixer of rejuvenation (then again, I also need to get up earlier to see those episodes) ~ But anyways, that's how it started.

Kasu-chan, your theory makes perfect sense. Thanks for posting it.

Crystal Clair, I agree with you too. Kasu-chan's theory is spot-on, especially considering that artist's choice of colors and logic sometimes don't mix unless this sort of reasoning comes to play. Admittedly I was thinking along the same lines while reading it! I personally believe that Misty's father may just have had red hair himself and his mother perhaps being blond. Her grandparents probably had that blue trait somewhere. And we should not think it's impossible. If you can find a child born with dark skin from a large ancestry of light skinned parents you can surely find that gene emanating from long lore. <== interesting, true fact from research.

I finished my newest AAML video, here it is: ...

peachesncream... That was a beautiful composition of clips from Pokemon comprising of simply heartfelt moments of Pokeshipping <3. I enjoyed the use of your timing and the choice of the song. It was original! -claps- ;; You should keep it up! I'd love to see more work from you!

As for you, my dear friend, weedle_mchairybug, thanks for the clarification and observation on Misty's cook experience, which has many analytical tones to it. Also, about those petitions.. I didn't really do much towards that, but I am a devout fan of Misty and her importance HIGHLY NEEDED in the show. Seriously >__<! I have joined the Misty Fan Club on deviantART, and aside from some participation, I haven't seen many petitions I could participate or have much of an idea on the process v__v. I did sign up for some, such as the one peachesncream has in her signature ;)

Well, I must head off to sleep now.. See you all later!

Aww, I can definitely agree that the old episodes make you think of all of the good times. Every time I watch them nowadays, I can't help but to think of past memories. And thanks for agreeing with my theory, too! Your last statement on there is very true, too.

[PokeCommunity.com] The Official Misty (Bring Her Back) Club !

God, we need more episodes of her again. I miss watching the Hosos. ;;

Hi.

I just want to make an important announcement in regards to our cause:

We shall submit our Global Petitions/Global Boycott letters on November the 26th, 2007. We will need to get more signatures if needs be. Also, the Letters threatening boycott have to go in this format:

a. write to the addressee

b. state that on the behalf of the entire Misty fanbase, they should Bring Misty Back! Also list your reasons why.

c. tell them that Misty is Immensely popular even in Japan (Be sure to use polls quotes from various members of the various forums and other things as proof of this.

d. state the pros and cons of bringing her back.

e. give them the ultimatum (IE. either they bring Misty back onto the main cast or we will boycott their franchise.), and also tell them that enclosed are the petitions for bringing misty back to prove that we aren't bluffing, and tell them that many other letters and petitions are well on their way.

f. sign your real name as well as your screenname(s)

Also, any newly joined members may take longer if needs be and submit them later.

And as a final reminder, the address that we are sending it off to isThe Pokemon Company, 1-8-1 Marumouchi Trust Tower, 18S Marumouchi, Chiyoda-Tokyo, 105-0005 Japan, and i am pretty sure that Satoshi Tajiri does indeed write the episodes considering that the ending credits seem to list him as the creator of the anime (the credits say "Created by: Satoshi Tajiri").

anyways, onto the current topics:

In regards to what Misty will be wearing for halloween? well, i don't really know, actually. she might suit well as a goldeen.

Anyways, from what a person on Pokemon elite forums said in regards to Misty, apparantly in regards to female fanbases, Misty has 67% of the fanbase.

In regards to when was the first time i liked misty, hmm, i think it was the first ep. since i like all characters equally (well, save for may/dawn, for the reasons i have mentioned), but my fanatic loyalty for misty started way back in Princess vs. Princess, because she was the only female protagonist to not be of the Female anime stereotype.

@Crystal Clair: Look, I understand your decision of retiring from bringing misty back (though, If you feel you need to rejoin the cause, feel free to do it.) , I just wanted to say that, could you please use a synonym for "embrace the new stuff"? I mean, no offense to you doing it, its just that the whole "embrace new things" doesn't seem to bode well with me considering how some media seems to portray embracing the new stuff as "screwing over/forgetting the old things and focus solely on the new".

Take "Opus" for example. they had multiple cartoons dealing with this philosophy. they even went AS far as to make a cartoon where Opus is selling newspapers and this UPS worker with an Ipod (At least, I thought he is a UPS worker considering that he was wearing a brown uniform) repeatedly asking Opus what a newspaper is (Despite the mere fact that you can find Newspapers practically everywhere, even if you don't get it delivered to your door.). Now note, i don't feel that New things, in itself, is a bad thing, but completely forgetting about the old and focusing solely on the new things is a bad thing.

Now, that wasn't meant to offend you, Crystal Clair, or any other members who decided to embrace the new things, I was just stating that the term "embracing the new things" makes me feel uncomfortable due to the reasons I stated.

@Kasu-Chan: While I do despise "Love Hina", It's a very good pic that you drew. Now, as long as you don't warp Misty's personality to become almost an exact replica of the female anime stereotype, I won't mind if the fanart is based off it. No offense, of course.

@Kasumi: Do you still have the petition with you? because if you do, you may have to send it off on November the 26th.

@Sea Guardian: Of course you can Join the club.

anyways, that is all for now.

P.S. Be absolutely sure that you guys add the date of delivery onto your calendars.

Weedle, if I were to write the letter, wouldn't you have to write it in Japanese? Or do they have translators at the company.
I do hope Misty will return as a main character one day. I truly believe, deep down she still has a little more to be explored.

I read your post at the Bulbagarden Misty Club and Misty kinda is a stereotype, the angry red head one. But she just got more mature and mild in Johto.
And about the whole thing with the princess vs princess episode, and all the girls rushing besides Jessie and Misty, maybe it was just for gag purposes.

on another note, that cooking Misty pic I always thought looked weird. It's because both her eyes are drawn differently. Makes her look drugged or somethin'

well... about the whole letter issue, I am pretty sure that they would have translators at the company. I mean, if they had translators translating what PUSA/4Kids officials are discussing in their briefing rooms, they would most certainly have writing translation staff people. And also, yes, I also hope she returns.

Look, no offense to you, Crystal Claire, but what I don't understand is why must people assume that I was saying that Misty isn't of ANY Stereotype just because I said that she wasn't of THE female anime stereotype?! I wasn't saying, or even meaning, for that manner, that Misty wasn't of a stereotype. All I was saying was that Misty is not of the TYPICAL Female anime stereotype. There is a big difference between the two. But I do admit that she did get sort of calmer (Though the only true hint of her becoming calmer is her not hitting people with objects/fists/feets/whatever).

And in regards to your theory about The Animalistic girls thing being a gag, MJC Cartoguy actually posited that Theory on serebiiforums, but even still, I'm not sure about it being a Gag, especially since no one in my immediate family was even laughing at it. I mean, one of my relatives even explicitly stated that she didn't even like how they portrayed women like that. Now granted she may have been trying to use words that she thought was going to have me understand, since I was at least 9 at the time, and I have had a similar condition to your Aspergers, but still... It started my hatred for that stereotype and had me become fanatically loyal to Misty, nonetheless. Besides, The antics those awful girls in Love Hina was also supposed to be a Gag, and yet that never saved them from being bashed by critics, I know this because my relative (yes, the same one who stated that she didn't like how they portrayed women as Animals in "Princess vs. Princess") Is one of these critics (maybe not Journalistic Critics, but definitely a critic, nonetheless.)

on another note, that cooking Misty pic I always thought looked weird. It's because both her eyes are drawn differently. Makes her look drugged or somethin'

You know, I never thought about it, but now you mention it... she does look like she had too many doses of medicene in that picture.

What do you think Misty would dress up for Halloween?
Mermaid cotume on the first place and the second- Dragonair costume. Horrible thing has happened! Misty club on serebii forum is closed! It has 579 sites. :( Why?

^Go see the old club as to why it was closed. A new one was started, though. =]

You know, the stereotype talk makes me kind of sick to hear, or rather, see. There is nothing more annoying than relating that to Misty. =/

Anyways, let's try a new topic. What do you think is the best quote Misty has stated?

Ok, guys, tomorrow after school (as late as 4:30pm in all time zones), we are going to submit all petitions across the globe, and we shall also have our Global Boycott letters on the ready. Tomorrow, WE SHALL BEGIN OUR ULTIMATE PLAN TO BRING BACK MISTY!!!! BTW, when someone on this club has submitted their petition and their Global boycott letters, they should say "I Did It!" so i'll know that they did.

Ok, I have shown my family members my rationale as to why I am loyal to Misty, and they agreed, thus earning me 10 more signatures.

Anyways, onto the topic: well, any quote from Misty is just fine for me, i really don't have a favorite.

And also, in regards to the club being closed, It's such a shame really, but we must move on, though we might have to cross our fingers that all of our old club members remembered the date of delivery.

Anyways, In case MistyLover17 is still with us, I just wanted to ask him, how is he doing with the signatures in his area.

anyways, that's all for now.

O.o WHAT!! Are you kidding me?? But it can't...Wait are you talking about this club or the one on serebii? (sorry for not replying as much as I use to in the past...) And as for the topic, I don't have a favorite (like weedle) I just love her personality...

I was talking about the one on serebii.

Anyways, I somewhat had a unexpected delay on my end in regards to the petition (my mom thought that I should write a cover letter for the Petition for the Pokemon company, since, apparantly, My Global Boycott ultimatum letter wasn't enough), but I will make sure that My petition gets sent today.

Speaking of Petitions, the 28,000 one on Petitionspot is also covered on a link page that i am going to send with the petition because it was going to take too long to save all of it on Microsoft word.

hope all of you have managed to submit your fair share of Bring Misty Back petitions.

Edit: I Did It, I (well, actually my mom) submitted the petition today!!
