I started watching the japanese sub version, and then I took a look at the US version...

Blatant script changes, censorship, and the voice actors... thats what really gets me. :( American subbing is really poor in my opinion, a lot of voice actors can't show enough emotion. The few I have found that I actually like (Crispin Freeman, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, etc) sadly are not common enough.

The show itself is pretty good though. You should also just ignore the entire filler season at the end of Naruto before the start of Shippuden. I thought 'heck, I'll watch it just because' and went through a lot of it before just stopping. There is literally no reason to go through it all. They don't tie it in to later story (unlike in Bleach) and it follows basically the same plotline the entire time.
 
Yeah it seems that everyone skips the fillers. But some of them are pretty good. I watched a few, but not all. And I been watching Shippuuden, and I love it!

I think the dub is pretty good. But I do value your opinion. The sub is better, but also the dub is good(imo).
 
I have been watching a bit of Shippuuden and its not too bad.

My favorite characters are Itachi and Gaara. I HATE Sasuke. Just because your entire clan was killed doesn't mean that you turn your back on everyone. Sasuke is a scorny little guy that needs to go back to rehab (yes, he needs it more than Brittany Spears).

People say he's emo, not so the right word for him. He's a nutty little kid blinded from the truth. And if Naruto felt like killing Sasuke, he could've wooped him at the lake.

Itachi's an exception though. He's a bad guy but he's also really cool. A lot of people think Sasuke is the character that has the coexisting traits of bad and cool. Well, he doesn't. Itachi's much stronger and he has that special Sharingan. Sasuke wouldn't stand a chance against him. In fact, Naruto probably would have an extremely hard time too, but he has a much better chance than Sasuke (Reason: Naruto can defeat Sasuke with only four of the tails from the fox). The best match would be Jiraya and Itachi. Jiraya's awesome too. Tsunade is too. Orichemaru sucks though.

Naruto is easily one of my favorite shows. I am watching tha Japanese manga and Shippuden (after skipping most of the fillers) as they come out and so far, the recent mangas have been very exciting. Kimimaro and Neji are my favorite characters since they are both so cool.

I don't actually keep up with the manga. However the latest Shippuuden's are intense.

Yes I love when Cartoon Network shows two new episodes of Naruto on Saturday nights. Makes my Saturday great!

The latest episodes weren't so amusing as I thought they would be. Virtually no fighting sequence, repetitions of scenes that have already occured in previous episodes, included with explanations that could simply have been achieved in 10-15 minutes was the entirety of the episodes. What's more disappointing is that the series will continue on January 10.

Anyone noticed this?:

Naruto: Shippuuden the Movie 2 will be released in Summer 2008. The film was announced in Weekly Shonen Jump, and the teaser aired with episodes 40-41.

I agree, most of the recent episodes where just gaps of silence and the odd little, "I'm going to kill you," and stuff like that from Naruto, I feel as if instead of having a special 1 hour episode, they just animated one episode and dragged it out longer so that it could make an hour. D: I hope the next couple of episodes are gonna be a bit faster paced.

I've heard about the new movie, from the looks of it, it's gonna be mostly about Sasuke. Hopefully it should be good. XD
 
I also heard about the new movie too, and it does look awesome! Unfortunately I will have to wait til it comes here. Which it will be forever, that is okay though. ^^ It looks like Naruto and Sasuke are teaming up. But on the other hand, they could battle each other. Gah...I can't wait to see the full summary of it. X3

I did enjoy Episode 40 and 41. I thought it was a little teaser for the main event which will happen this week. ^^

You know what I think about Oorochimaru? I think he's a freak who has too much free time. He had so much potential, he could have been Hokage. Oh no, he had to stay in his little lab playing with snakes. I swear he's commiting beastiality or something, XD.
