Here is a rough outline of the steps you need to take. I suggest watching, that includes listening to the tutorial.

- Obtain 5 Pokemon in your party.
- Obtain Poketech apps 6 (Happiness Checker) and 15 (Coin Toss)
- Synch DS clock to some other clock.
- Set app to #5.
- Reset game.
- Note the time when you hit "Continue".
- Insert data into RNG Reporter.
- Catch a Pokemon.
- Calculate IVs and Nature, input data.
- Hit "Find".
- Adjust settings in RNG Reporter. (See video)
- Hit Generate
- Do the taps/coin flips
- Put parents in
- Get egg

People who have done it and got positive results:
- Pokerealm : Most here do not know him for he goes to another forum. But he is a highly respected shiny hunter. He is Shinyhunter on YouTube. I have seen him do it, via webcam. If you do not believe me ask him yourself.
- The person in the video. :P
- The Kidd : Thanks for PMing me!
- Me. :D

Thanks to mingot, jonny, and Pink at Smogon.

I just caught a shiny from a shiny patch on my second chain!!! Second shiny ever! Only one I still have.

For christ's sake, first of all, you need a ROM (or AR). Second of all,
you need Pokesav to find the secret ID (or AR, maybe?).
Thirdly, you need a few programs from the good ole' computer,
one being the RNG device itself, and an IV calculator.

Wrong; it's possible to work out your secret ID without cheating, as long as you've already caught a randomly encountered shiny (i.e. without Poké Radar, breeding or cheating). I don't think anyone would consider IV checking cheating; the RNG program is similar to that.

Anyway:

Quiet Clamperl
22-29/x/14/30/23/31/26
HP Electric 69-70

I already have a perfect non-shiny one (31/x/30/31/31/2), but shiny Clamperl is pretty awesome. Especially with HP Electric :P

The chances of getting a shiny egg are still high, but not as high as 8492 or something.

I've just locked into a Shiny Jolly Buizel!! Heck Yah, now time to SR for IVs!!!

o yea?.. o well anyway.. RNG is soo difficult to understand o_o

have you do it?

I have tried twice, I keep loosing count. Everyone says it is hard to do at first. It is.

Do you mean it has a lower chance but it is still high? Because saying what you just did means that 1/8192 is more common than 1/2048 which is not true. NONONO

Oh I see, I wasn't clear on what I meant. I meant to say the chances are much higher of that of 1/8192. I don't think I will be using the 2nd method since I have no international pokemon =/

I have a Japanese Pearl so I can. I already hatched 20 eggs with a sum total of 0 shinnies.

You still have a lot more eggs to go, but no worries you will find it when you least expect it.

Ah, and it has been confirmed the Platinum RNG abuse also works with Diamond and Pearl. So for those of you who don't have Pt, you can start the RNG in DP. =D

I just thought I throw it out there again. I forgot to say in regards of your earlier post.

Good luck on the Magikarp. Take it slowly, especially when tapping. I suggest using tallies to help keep track.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! It does work! ^_^

After multiple failed attempts, one after another, I finally hatched a shiny Magikarp the using the RNG method! Oh my god, I am so happy! And, it is female! I love female shinies!

It is Naive. IVs are:

Attack: 15
Defense: 12
Sp. Attack: 9
Sp. Defense: 26
Speed: 30
HP: 22

I didn't care enough to reset for good IV's. I just wanted a shiny magikarp. <3

Yata!

Congratulations Rey!

Now that you know exactly what to do, it shouldn't be as hard to do now. Its just the matter of finding a seed with a low frame.

There really isn't much use for chaining shinies, although it is something I want to learn to do.

What are you going to hatch next?
