    Instead of having two stickies dealing with shiny Pokemon, it will be best to consolidate them both into one thread. Here you can discuss chaining to get a Shiny Pokemon, what Shiny Pokemon you've obtained, and how many. If there's a question you need to ask pertaining to how Shiny Pokemon work, you can look at these threads first before posting here:

    To start things off, how many Shinys do you guys have? I am up to 39 Shinys (excluding duplicates of one Shiny, of course).
     
    Well, up until Thursday the only shinies I've ever had where either from trades or on ROMS...

    I got bored on the bus and decided to chain whatever random thing it was that was swarming......

    the 6th thing in my chain was one I'd always remember........ I went into a patch (couldn't really tell that it was Shiny 'till the battle... stupid bus >.>) and I ran into...



    *DRUMROOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLL*



    A SHINY JOLLY Natured.... CUBONE!? o_O

    Okay, so it's not the Shiny I've always dreamed of, but... OMG, it's STILL cute! (and I usually LOATHE that shade of green! o_O)

    And that's how I got my very first legitimate Shiny.
     
    I've caught by myself:

    Two machops from different chains
    two bidoofs; one random, one was when i was trying to start a teddiursa chain.
    starly

    weepinbell x4
    pichu x2 (modest :) )
    eevee
    krabby x3
    shinx
    geodude x2

    I think that's it.

    and i saw a shiny patch for a staravia, on a chain of 9, but missed it. T_T
    just like how i killed the 5th weepinbell. =P

    p.s. i felt too lazy to type properly so that explains why i didn't use caps etc.
     
    Dont eally have that many shinys but my frist was growlithe in fire red and i was just going to catch one during the run of the story and woosh the first encounter.

    I chained something else today, for the first time in about two weeks :O

    A Shiny ????? appears!

    I caught two of these, one with a Lax nature, and the other with a Lonely nature. Darn Adamant Syncher didn't work again >_<
    Oh well, more Shinies =)

    you must be like the best chainer, the amount of shinys you got is amazing lol

    Yea just chained chansey and got 3 shiny's

    awsome job on them halycon. haven't chained much, but im gonna go for a lvlv 4 shiny bibarel(the glitch lake verity ones) soon/
     
    I hatched a shiny lonely Absol two days ago with decent IVs and Super Luck, so I was ecstatic about that (note sig). Today I was EV training that same Absol by chaining the pokemon I needed to beat and I stumbled across a shiny Gastrodon. So I have two shinys now from the fourth gen.

    Overall, I think I've caught four shinys: one Kakuna in Crystal, one Zubat in Leafgreen, and the Absol and Gastrodon.
     
    i have only caught one shiny:P it was a shiny starly and i got it at a chain of 57

    does anyone know a way to meet pokemon more often than using a pokeradar?
     
    My current shiny count:

    2x Shiny Starlys (Chained)
    1x Shiny Geodude (Random)
    1x Shiny Zigzagoon (Random)
    1x Shiny Roselia (Random)
    11x Shiny Bidoof (Chained)
    1x Shiny Scyther (Egg bred/Random)
     
    My first shiny was a poochyena in sapphire. Golden :D
    Sadly i didn't keep that one.
    Same goes for my shiny zubat...

    My current NON-chained shinys:
    Steelix
    Golem
    Oddish
     
    so, bringing a new topic to this thread, whats your favorite shiny?

    mine is the sinnoh lake trio. golden on top of there head color makes shiny pixies look awsome.
     
    My first shiny was in Pearl, it was a Shiny Bidoof, He was my shiny, HM slave.. A good way to put a shiny beaver to use. =D
     
    Favorite shiny? Gota be Voltorb :D
