The Official Shiny Thread

I only have one.....

I gto it in my leaf Green at level 2.......

It was The First Pokemon I caught and it looks cool now (Lv. 52 & evolved twice)..............

PIGEY!
 
god i have so many but there all swarm or just wild ones that r easy to chain. the ones the really got me was a shiny barboach and togepi i got recently (barboach last night!!!)
 
I accidentally hatched a shiny Eevee named Kimba...it was right after my Diamond crashed, which had a shiny Jolteon I'd gotten from my cousin on it...
I have okay luck with shinies. I have had a few; a Mightyena who also was lost to a crash, a Vulpix that is still on my Crystal, and Kurama. (The shiny Jolteon.) And Kimba has evolved into a Glaceon. :D
 
I just got a Sassy shiny Magnemite with Magnet Pull. I don't remember its exact IV's, and I don't have my AR handy to easily check it, but I remember it has a 19 in Atk and Sp. Atk, so again, useless competitive shiny. At least my Eevee and Bagon came out decent.
 
I FOUND A shiny Dustox in Eterna Forest, but, lucky for me, Cheryl and her stupid Chansey "KO"'ed it for me, pissing me off greatly..... I am going to stab her with a gladius.... >.<
 
I just caught my first ever shiny, unless you count the red Gyrados :D
Soft reset for a shiny Azelf, so nice to have one finally. I think its serious nature, but I can't really read japanese too well xD
Its such a relief to actually have a shiny, I've killed so many without realising until too late, once I ran from a shiny donphan on silver then saw and was like noooooooo o.O
 
Well, I just now caught another shiny Zubat in... some cave that I can't remember the name of XD
 
I don't have that many..
But I'm sure proud of my Shiny Altaria!
 
Meh, there have only been a few Shinies that I've had luck with. One which was a Shiny Lax Deoxys found in my Firered, which was transfered to my Emerald, which was stolen, and a Shiny Adamant Greatly-IVed Metagross that hatched after 531 Beldum eggs I tried to hatch (had nothing better to do xD), and finally found one. And that last one has NEVER been cloned, up for trade, and still is on my very team I use for battle. Damn, I'm so proud of it... =D ​
 
The only shiny I have is my Leafeon, which I'm currently EV training. I got it in a trade.

The shinies I have caught myself though are:

Golbat: I was on the way to Snowpoint City and I just ran into one, so I caught it.

Doduo: This was my first Chained shiny, and only after a chain of one normal Doduo. I consider this rare because it's a swarm pokemon.

Stantler: My other chained shiny. It wasn't a shiny patch, but I found one.
 
Hmm. The only shiny I caught myself was a Shiny Shellos. Happened upon it Cahining Dittos. But, I have a few from trades. Umbreon, Latios and Eevee.
 
Just caught a shiny, male, mild, Tentacruel whilst..Just..surfing around due to boredom.
 
On my first playthrough of Diamond I caught a Shiny Noctowl at the Acuity Lakefront. Unfortunately for me, at the time I didn't know what a shiny was, I just thought it was glitchy, so I traded it on the GTS for a Palkia -.-
I've never had another shiny, unless you count that Red Gyarados in G/S/C. I just realized that shiny Gyarados will become much more common and easy to get a good nature/IVs Gyarados if they remake G/S/C.
 
I gleefully claimed my first Platinum Shiny just a few moments ago! ^^ The only thing I don't like is that it was a Bibarel... XD I was training my Glaceon on Route 208 and while doing so, I kept coming across a lot of Bibarel... eventually, this Shiny one shows up, so I just had to catch it, being the first non-Radar Platinum Shiny I've had. ^^ Its Sassy natured with Unaware as its ability, so I don't think it will have any majorly cool or awesome uses... but its a Shiny, nonetheless. ^^
 
question on SHinies

hey i got a question for shinies.. mm

what route will be easier to start chaining? with large patches of grass..

and that the pokemon should be better than starly.. etc
 
any particular shiny, but not a very common pokemon like starly...

im just starting to chain, because i suck at that :p
 
A lot of routes are easy to chain on, you just need an area with a large amount of tall grass. So as long as there's an area which basically covers your screen in tall grass it should be a great chaining spot.
