ME JOIN? I am fifteen and there are maybe 7 people my age who like pokemon. It sucks. But hey we have something to talk about.
Tch. It SUCKS?! Tch, lol, if I knew THAT many ppl IRL who like pkmn I'd be in heaven! @_@

Hey everyone. Sorry I've been off forever. I just got a year lease on two houses, and some other cool things have happened, but I'll get to that in a second. First, to anyone who has asked to join but haven't gotten that reply. No you cannot join, but before you think I'm being a jerk or something, please note that I've said It before. This isn't a club, so you're more then welcome to come on and chat whenever you like. ^_^
Anyway, to anyone who cares: I just bought a bunch of cards off of E-Bay for $600. Why is this amazing? Well, I figured I would get some new holofoils to add to my collection, but I got shocked me. I have now in my left hand, happy birthday pikachu, a promo card worth about $400 if you look in the right place. What's in my right hand you ask? THE OTHER 9 OF THEM THAT CAME WITH IT! All of them mint-condition, non-counterfeit, packaged, origional japanese editions. That wasn't all i got. I got the Surfing Pikachu's and Flying Pikachu's, All the tropical Island promos, Promo's that were NEVER RELEASED IN AMERICA, Hundreds of holofoils, Pokemon Mangas, Pokemon keychains, Pokemon postage stamps... (hours later) ... and giant-sized pokemon cards. I looked it up and the net value of both boxes were about $200,000... each... I swear, this guy either works for or robbed nintendo. XD. I don't usually toot-my-own-horn, but you gotta admit. That's a LOT to toot about. lol.

Wow! If I knew how ta buy stuff off the internet... bah, but I got no one ta play TCG with. >_<
I have a friend who still has his cards but he won't challenge me an' we live in tha same block for cryin' out loud! >_<
Lol, I've played a couple o' GBA battles with a friend who has one but even though he liked tha way strategies work an' saw that there's more to it than just wierd-lookin' creatures as he calls 'em an' even though he said "hey, wow, I bet a 4-player battle would rule", plus he liked tha whole wireless thing ideea he DID NOT BUY A PKMN GAME! >_<
...
*sigh* I guess he wouldn't feel right with ppl knowin' he has pkmn on his GBA, too bad... T_T

wow, i must be lucky or somethin' my little bro has a friend who still plays and i have friends that still play "if i ask them"

Wow, I think ya are, lol, there were still ppl inta pkmn in primary school last time I checked, I wonder if there still are any... o.0

...I gotta talk mom inta somehow lettin' me buy Emerald... ^^;;

Ok everyone, I think it's about time we gat another TOTM.
New TOTM: what is your best strategy in pokemon? be it cards, game, etc.

My game strategy. Never use more then three pokemon unless I absolutly have too.
AND spend an extra hour or so training the pokemon you just caught in the last route to a good level. Then when you do something important, like beat your rival/ a gym leader/ the elite 4/ etc, SWITCH your party! It makes the game more interesting. trust me, you'll turn that 'i dont like using wingull' into 'my pelipper pwns you!'

Okay, here's mine: get lots of energies, be quick in small attacks while energyzin' yar bench, once ya've pumped up energies inta a sweeper(like tha Base Set Charizard ^^) make sure those energies keep comin' an' use potions for healin'. ^_^

It's been a week and nobody's posted. Hmmm... Make's me feel loved. Anyhoot, new TOTM: Make your own Pokemon Card!
Very simple. Make a pokemon card you want to see in exsistence.
Evolution Type (Basic, Stage 1, or Stage 2)
Name
HP
Type
(Provide a picture link of the pokemon here)
What 'Type' of pokemon is it (Virtual, Tiny Bird, etc.)
Leangth/Height
Weight in Lbs. or G
Attacks/ Pokebody/ Pokepower (Limit two total, limit one of either Pokebody or Power)
Weakness/Resistence
Retreat cost
Pokedex Clip
Level and Number
If they turn out to be pretty good, I'll actually make it, or if you request me to I suppose. ^_^ It doesn't even have to be an ACTUAL pokemon. Watch:
Here's what I came up with:
Basic
Bob
40
Electric
https://www.out-post.org/junks/pokemon.png
Morphed
1'8
27 Lbs.
1 (El) energy : Shock : 20
2 (El), 1 (No) Energy : Thuderbolt. Flip a coin. If heads, the defending Pokemon is now Paralyzed. : 40
Fighting / None
2 (No)
An odd Pokemon thougth to be a relative of Pikachu. Litlel is known of its origins.
Lv. 21 # Infinity-billion

I won't ask to join, as you clearly said no joining ;) . But I am glad to add myself to the mix.
Let's see, I happen to be 22, I was sixteen when pokemon first came out. So I've always called myself a team rocket age fan :D .
I was a fan of the anime before I ever played the GB games, so the anime comes first in my book, with my love for the games coming in 2nd.
I have some of the cards, but I've never liked the card game, I just get them for the cool art...
Anyhow, I would be happy to help here, since this topic seems like it may get a little SPAM-ful at times...

I'll just pop my head in here and stuff. o.o
Yeah, I have a huge collection of Grass energies. >> A lot from the old sets, and heaps from the new decks. --;

Mind if I join? I'm 16! *notices it's not able to be known and goes to fix that* I've been a Pokemon fan since I was in the 5th grade, which is 6 long years, man!

who here has pokemon merchandise OTHER then the cards and games?
Oh, I do! I have all these trinkets and promotional thingies that they release a heap of years ago, like yoyos and puzzle pieces, figurines and mechanical toys, a calender, books... Also have a bunch of soft toys like Pikachu, Raichu, Jigglypuff, Poliwhirl, Snorlax, Ivysaur, Psyduck, and a few others.

Oh, does anyone remember those Pocket Pikachu pedometer things? The yellow one and the grey colour one? I think mine hates me or is strangers with me or whatever it's called now.

OMG! I HAVE one of those Pocket Pikachus! *laughs* I used to get in so much trouble with it because I'd wear it in school all the time.... Teachers don't much like an annoying "click-click-click" every time you move, apparantly. XP

I'm 19, so I guess I belong here! ^_^

Game, TV, or TCG?: I like the GB games the best; I'm a big RPG fan.

Favourite Pokemon: I've had a longstanding fondness for Mew; I also like Charizard and Wynaut.

Favourite Game Music: I like the Surfing music from G/S/C, and the underwater and Sootopolis music in R/S. I don't usually listen to the music, actually, because someone will generally have the TV on at the same time, so I'll put my headphones on to drown out the noise. (It's okay, really; Blind Guardian seems to fit with the game for some reason...)

How Many Cards?: I have no idea. I stopped collecting after the second Johto series came out.

Any Good at Cards?: Nope. I've beaten maybe three people out of dozens of games. And I'm pretty sure those three wins were flukes too.

Create-a-Card: I've actually done this! I came up with about six new Legendary Birds (this was before the Johto series) and did pictures and card stats and everything. Regrettably, I can't find the binder all my Pokestuff is in (drat!), otherwise I'd show you.

Other Pokemon Merchandise: Some plushies, and some of those toys that came in Burger King kids meals for a while. Also have a few game guides, but I don't know if those count. And a couple of old calenders.

Well, I think I qualify. :P *giggles* In fact, I'm sure I do!

So, vital stats on my fandom: Aged 17, fan since I was 10. First game was Red version, first starter, Charmander. First lvl. 100, alakazam on my Yellow version. used to be decent at the TCG, played in my local League and was a coach. Still have all my cards. Used to watch the TV show, got bored after Misty left. Occasionally still watch it. Favorite character was/is Misty. Favorite type, Psychic, favorite Pokemon, Absol, Alakazam, Mew, Mewtwo.

*laughs* I guess I could throw in my vital stats too!

I've been an avid Poke'fan since I was 10. I only played the Card game against my sister, and we kind of had our own rules... *laughs* It's hard when you're almost the only two who survived the mad rush and fall.

My first game was Red, and I started with Charmander as well. I then moved on to Blue and Yellow, then Silver, Sapphire, and Leaf Green. I had a big pillow pikachu, and a pocket pikachu too!!

My favorite type is definatly Psychic and Water. Favorite Pokemon: Mew, Raichu, and Azuril.

I started out with Red as well, though with Bulbasaur as my starter pokemon. First pokemon to Lv 100 was probably Fearow on Red (the game I have the longest playtime hours on). Next game was Yellow, then Gold, and Ruby (hmm, I seem to always get the warm colours).

My favourite types are Flying and Electric (spiky yellow pokemon!).

Hey, have people played the other Pokemon games such as Pokemon Pinball, TCG for Gameboy, Puzzle League/Challenge, Snap, stuff like that? I really like those games, though I haven't played the Pinball remake or Dash yet. (And they never realised the 'talk to Pikachu' game here...).

I played the Gameboy TCG game, that thing was horribly addivtive. I think I still have it somewhere... Best if I don't find it, or I'll dissapear for months, trying to bulid the perfect deck.

I've played a little of Snap and Pinball, no others aside from the Stadium games.
