First I chased after an annoying guhlactic guy who kept talking about some new universe, eventually he stopped running so I could beat his pokemon, after which he mentioned the lake and that blonde haired lady walked up to me and told me to give those psyducks over near the moomoo milk place the secret potion she gave me, I said sure wynaut?
I then decided to go and battle all the trainers in the restaurant and take the opposite way to Hearthrome City, so I could battle some more trainers. I saw a giant mansion so I went inside where I battled some maids, and learned about a mysterious pokemon named Manaphy. After romping around in the mansion's backyard for a bit, I headed up through Hearthrome to Solaceon so I could help out those Psyducks.
When I got to the Psyducks they all looked sad and in pain, but after I used the secret potion they instantly looked happy and ran off playing lead frog, which I thought was wierd seeing as they are ducks platy-pi. After I watched them run off that blonde haired lady snuck up on me again and told me to deliver something to her grandma, I decided to go ahead and do it since this lady is obviously stalking me and I don't want to know what she would do if I didn't run her errands for her. (She must not like her grandma seeing as she could just FLY to the city to give it to her.)
So after making my way through the heavily fogged route (good thing I had Marbles) I made it to Celestic Town. After browsing the town and learning some history, I saw this old lady who told me about a space man! Immediately I went to see what she was talking about, and saw another guhlactic grunt! I challenged him to a battle and won easily, after that the old lady complemented me on my strength and told me to go and look at the cave paintings. While looking at the paintings and talking to the old lady, some guy showed up, it was the same guy I had seen a few times and who likes to walk real slow. He said his name was Cyrus and he wanted to 'perfect' the world, typical bad guy, thinking what they are doing is for the good of everyone. I challenged him to a battle so he would leave the old lady alone!
First he sent out a Sneasel, so I sent out Alphonzo, I used a flame wheel but the Sneasel just barely survived, Cyrus then used a hyper potion to restore the Sneasel to full health, but this time I used a mach punch, which is 4x effective against the Ice/Dark Sneasel, after that Sneasel was done. Cyrus then sent out Golbat, so I sent out Leonardo in hopes of sketching a confuse ray. I started with a thunder wave, and he followed with a poison fang. After that I used protect, hoping he would go for the confuse ray, however he just continued to use poison fang. Then I used sweet kiss, hoping to get a confusion myself, after confusing the golbat, it tried to attack but was stopped in it's tracts by paralysis. After protecting once more, golbat tried another poison fang. I decided to switch out Leonardo with Ms Cuddles, after which Golbat hit her with a poison fang! The next turn I used return, and Golbat hit himself in confusion. I followed up his confused hit with another return and that knocked out Golbat. Cyrus was down to his last pokemon, Murkrow. I decided to send in Tmc. He started off Murkrow with a drill peck, it did average damage to Tmc, and I had Tmc use a shock wave which surprisingly didn't even get Murkrow down to half hp! So then I used Return after Tmc took another drill peck, the Return defeated the Murkrow, and Cyrus.
After defeating Cyrus he mentioned something about the beings of time and space, the old lady called him a wierdo and gave me Cynthia's old HM03, surf. After exiting the cave, I once again ran into the blonde haired stalking freak Cynthia, and while trying to figure out why she came here because she could of just brought that thing back to her grandma herself, she told me me she thought Team Guhlactic might be more trouble than she originally thought, I didn't really think so, but whatever. Then she told me I should go to Canalave City to look at some books in the library, I said sure, even though I have no actual attention of going there to read books.
Before heading to Canalave City to read some books challenge the gym, I decided first I should check out the eastern half of route 211. After defeating all the trainers there, I flew to Jubilife, and then headed off to Canalave. After healing my pokemon at the pokemon center in Canalave, I was ready to go to the gym! However on the way there my rival stopped me and challenged me to a battle, I couldn't refuse!
His starting pokemon was his Staraptor, and mine was Ms Cuddles, I knew Ms Cuddles couldn't take to many Close Combats, so I used charm to lower Staraptor's attack. He started off using double team. Then he used take down, and Ms Cuddles used return. After two take downs and two returns, Staraptor was defeated. Next he was going to send in heracross, so I called back Ms Cuddles and sent out Altiar. I used Aerial Ace and OHKO'd Heracross. My rival could see I had the upper hand, so he sent in his Rapidash, and I called back Altiar and sent in Alfonzo, who I then told to use Earthquake. Next he was going to send in Empoleon, so I quickly returned Alfonzo and sent out Tmc. I figured one shock wave wouldn't be enough, so first I used yawn, he used bubblebeam, which was not very effective against Tmc. Then I used shock wave, and unfortunately it did next to nothing, and he bubblebeamed Tmc again and it again did next to nothing, but then Empoleon fell asleep so I switched out to Alfonzo again. I had Alfonzo use earthquake and it almost KO'd but then Empoleon woke up! He used bubblebeam but luckily Alfonzo was strong enough to survive with 6 hp. I used mach punch to finish off Empoleon. His last pokemon was Roserade, who normally I would of stayed in against, but Alfonzo was low on hp so I sent in Altiar. Roserade got a lucky hit on Altiar with Grasswhistle, so I had to waste a turn using an awakening, when Roserade scattered toxic spikes around the field. Then Roserade got another lucky hit with Grasswhistle, and I again had to use an awakening. Roserade used this opportunity to scatter the second layer of toxic spikes, then finally instead of Grasswhistle Roserade used Leech Seed, but then Altiar OHKO'd with Aerial Ace. My Rival was defeated!
My Rival told me I should train at Iron Island before going to the gym, I decided that would be a good idea so I took the boat ride over there. Once I got there I met a cool guy with an awesome hat named Riley, he was so nice after one sentence of talking to him, he gave me and HM04 Strength! He asked me to join him in his training, so I decided I would do just that.
I entered Iron Island, but couldn't find Riley. While I was looking for him, I ran across a wild Golbat, I decided to use this opportunity to sketch confuse ray so Leonardo would have a 100% paralyzing and 100% confusing move. Finally after going down an awesome elevator thing I found Riley, he said we should team up and I agreed. Riley and I were making our way through Iron Island, defeating wild pokemon and trainers left and right, when we came across two members of team guhlactic! Instantly we knew they were the ones causing the pokemon harm. We decided to battle, and defeated them easily, though Riley's Lucario did fall to a revenge from one of the grunt's Croagunks.
After we defeated the Guhlactics, Riley offered me a pokemon egg, I didn't have room in my party and wouldn't be able to use it anyway, so I declined. He then said he would stay there until I took it so I felt bad he was going to stand there a while. I decided I would explore the rest of Iron Island myself though. Finally I had finished exploring Iron Island, I got back to Canalave and healed at the poke center before heading to the gym.
I then worked my way through the Canalave steel type gym, being only somewhat confused by the moving platforms. I easily bested all the trainers but had to heal before facing Byron.
To begin the battle I choose Alphonzo and hit Magneton with a Flame Wheel, it was almost a KO but not quite, then Magneton hit Alphonzo with a metal sound, lowering his sp. def two stages, so then I switched into Leonardo. I confused Magneton but he used thunderbolt anyway. I then protected the next turn and Magneton used tri attack. I had Leonardo sketch tri attack but then he fell to another thunderbolt. Alphonzo came back in and finished the Magneton. Byron's next pokemon was his Steelix. I switched into Ms Cuddles so I could get a couple charms off to lower his attack. After the first charm he brewed up a sandstorm, the second he shot a flash cannon at Ms Cuddles. I had Ms Cuddles dig which I realized right away was a mistake, as when she surfaced she fell to another flash cannon. I then sent Alphonzo back in, and I hit Steelix with an earthquake that almost took it down, but then Steelix countered with an earthquake of his own! Luckily charm had worked perfectly and the STAB'd 2x effective earthquake didn't even put Alphonzo into yellow bar. Then Byron's final pokemon, Bastiodon entered the fray, I switched into Tmc to get a yawn off on it, and Bastiodon immediately used iron defense.
Next he hit Tmc with a metal burst, which did less damage then a feather falling on you're head. After Tmc took the metal burst like a champ, Bastiodon had fallen fast asleep so I switched back into Alphonzo, and it took three earthquakes to down the Bastiodon, but Alphonzo did it and we had earned our 6th badge!!
Now that I have 6 badges, Altiar is allowed to evolve into a Staraptor! Not today though, to tired right now.
