Update time! It's been a while since I played the file, but I believe I had just beaten Norman...
Where to start... Well first of all, after Norman's defeat, I decided to go up to Route 115 (north of Rustboro) and train there for a bit. It is the only place for Jiggz after all... I do like the northern part of that route though, I think I'll make my secret base there once I decide to do so in Emerald (gonna mix records so I can train versus the other team :P go secret bases!). I did get bored quickly there, though, so I decided to just get the damn water routes over and done with.
In reality, there weren't that bad. I reckon it took me 45m-1hr, but I think the EXP in the end was worth it. I am very glad that I had seven repels from various things, because about 4 were put to good use. Tauros shined on these routes, as did Xatu, but as you could probably guess, Magmar and Seel were worthless. Nevertheless, I made it to Slateport with higher levels and stronger Pokemon under my belt.
Next came New Mauville. I used my remaining repels to ward off the electric types there, got the thunderstone at the end, and got out of there. I'm usually jumping with joy when I get thunderbolt, but I don't think it would work on any of my Pokemon... Magmar has the highest special attack stat, but thunderbolt's main purpose would be to deal with water types, and he's already quite weak to water due to his typing and nature. Besides, I think between Tauros and Xatu, the water gym and Glacia shouldn't be too big of a deal.
Route 119 has always been the crowning achievment of R/S/E (amirite?). Even though it's long and can be tough, I enjoy going through it. I beat the mimic circle (it wasn't hell trying to catch 'em this time!), and collected a few berries... Oh wait. Seel evolved :P My team is now fully evolved, and Dewgong not only gained STAB for ice beam (yesh I taught it that) but a massive SPDEF bonus. I think I've found my wall! The rest of the route went predictably; beat the trainers, found some goodies, looked for Feebas. When I got to the weather institue, I believe my team was all lvl 35, so I had no problems in taking out Team Aqua's goons. I stole Castform's mystic water for Dewgong, then crushed my rival before heading to Fortree.
Winona was easy. With Dewgong's newly acquired ice beam, the leader's usually dreaded Altaria was out in one fell swoop. Magmar took care of Skarmory, and Tauros easily stomped (or should I say "returned") Pelliper and Swellow. The prize TM I am considering teaching to Xatu... Fly is nice and all, but Aerial Ace has more PP, doesn't take two turns (even though that is Xatu's theme), and never misses. I did hold off however, and am waiting for the community's input before I make a final decision :)
Up next will be the final battle with May, and hopefully badge #7.

Xatu- Lvl 37 (Female)
Adamant Nature
Peck, Wish, Night Shade, Future Sight
- No changes in moveset on this one. Unfourtunately, I'm starting to see Xatu lose some of its power as time goes on, mainly in Defense. Though I wouldn't go as far as to say it's the new Seel, the downward curve in battle performance has been deabilitating to my team. I think the main problem is not the Pokemon; it's my battle style. Xatu is not a tank. It's defense is relatively poor, and has low HP. As such, moves that take multiple turns to take effect (Wish, Future Sight) don't suit this Pokemon well. Future Sight is fun to play around with, but I can't wait until it learns psychic. Also, fellow TOTGA challengers: Fly or Aerial Ace to replace peck? My thoughts are stated in the above update.
Dewgong- Lvl 36 (Female)
Careful Nature
Headbutt, Rest, Surf, Ice Beam
- :) :) :) :) :) :) :) It's not sucking as bad! Amazing what an evolution can do... Yeah. Once that icy blue seal evolved into an icy blue manatee, I knew that things would start to get better. It has the best HP out of all others on my team, and by far the best SPDEF. Even though Ice Beam doesn't K.O. all flying types, I'm glad it has something to bring to the team now. I almost deleted Rest for Sheer Cold at lvl 34, but decided against it... Even though Sheer Cold=Badassery, Rest will be more practical when it comes to those super-tough battles. And besides, there's no way I'm training it above lvl 58 to OHKO Metagross.
Tauros- Level 37 (Male)
Careful Nature
Return, Tail Whip, Rest, Horn Atttack
- If there's anything new I have to say about Tauros is that he's acting less like an uber and more like a very very strong Pokemon. Return is simply killing everthing it comes into contact with, and even though I deleted Pursuit for Rest (nothing's really worse than pursuit on this guy), I'm debating about getting rid of that one too. Tauros is just dominating so much that I don't see it going into the red or even yellow HP's. I suppose I will keep it for the time being, but as soon as something better comes along, I may just get rid of it.
Magmar- Level 36 (Male)
Rash Nature
Ember, Sunny Day, Fire Punch, Strength
- There's probably a tie for MVP between Magmar and Tauros at the moment. Tauros is an indestructible speedy monster, but Magmar is just too good against half the Pokemon in this game. I think it's special attack is 96 at the moment, so the second highest stat on the team (Tauros wins with 100 speed), even beating out Tauros' 90 attack stat. I'm waiting for a new move to replace Sunny Day and Ember, SD for sure has to go. I will check the level up moves for him and see if anything worth learning shows up, but as of now... No complaints here :)
There ya have it folks. If anyone's reading, please don't hesitate to give movepool suggestions for the Pokemon in the update. Right now, my biggest quandary is whether to teach Earthquake to Tauros or Magmar.
Blissy, I love how you have 7 badges and a bunch of level 20's :P
