It miiiight be almost the opposite of that! I hardly love Gen 1 at all, but I do love plenty of generations after it! =p

(I did that with my first ever shiny, named my f Mienfoo after my grandma, now its a level 100 Mienshao in my Pokemon Sun game from Black 2)
