Pokémon Jukebox Party​

Yeah! Made this months ago but didn't get to commit as much, but I thought it'd be fun to bringing it back again for a longer haul. ^^ So! Welcome Pokémon fans to the Jukebox! Are you a fan of Pokemon music in games? You've come to the right place! The Pokémon Jukebox Party is a thread where we discuss the various pokémon music that comes form the main series of games, to even the spin off pokémon games, as we compare and contrast a wide range of them, and even have discussions about how they enhance each game. After all, there's nothing like a great gym battle without great gym battle music, right? (;

Each week there will be a theme, and there will be different music on display will feature that theme. And from that, there will be discussion questions that will complement them, as well as a chance for you to share your opinion on which music from the theme is the best from the bunch. Further more, look here:

So generally these are themes that will play when you're one battle away from earning that badge! Do you have what it takes to defeat one of the best trainers of the city? Which of these Gym Battle themes are your favourite and why? Which one did you not really enjoy? How has these specific themes enhance your experiences battling against the Gym Leaders? If there was a single pokemon game that had all the regions, which one gym theme would you think would enjoy listening to the most while playing?

Despite not liking Kanto that much, I actually like the Kanto Gym Leader theme a lot. It reminds me of Pokemon Origins and how battles are theoretically supposed to have a lot at stake--you're supposed to learn, and it's supposed to be fun and challenging. Same for the Sinnoh Gym Leader theme. It brings up a lot of nice memories as well; I looooove Sinnoh as well as Hoenn.

The Kalos one sounds really epic. Not sure how well it fits for how I think of Gym Leaders, though?

For the most part, I really like the gym leader music. Most of the songs are pretty epic and make you feel that there is a lot at stake, my favourites are from FRLG and RSE. They're all super nostalgic for me and bring back some tough fights :)

All of the Gym Leader themes are actually really cool, it's hard to pick just one. I suppose if I had to choose then it would be the Hoenn Gym Leader theme. Even the PWT and ORAS improved on the original imo, but all three just sound really good. Not only that, but the cast of Hoenn Gym Leaders are my favourite and probably the most memorable of any region.

Personally, I'm starting to really enjoy X/Y's Gym Battle theme. It starts out soft, but really captivates after a short while; it's really awesome to get into! Before that, I'd say my favourite would of been Pokemon Black and White's and The Pokemon Yellow, Blue and Red's Gym Battle theme.

Nothing surpasses the Sinnoh theme! I think Gym Battle themes must make me hyped, and that's what the Sinnoh theme does to me (either DPPl's or B2W2's remix). I just love how tense I feel when I'm battling against the Sinnoh gym leaders while hearing this theme!

 

[Mister Coffee]

I think my favorite is definitely the Gym Theme from FR/LG, it definitely gives you that adrenaline pumping feeling when amidst the chaos of battling.
My second favorite would probably have to be the Kalos gym themes. It also give off that intense battling vibe... however the theme also reminds me of music from F-Zero which is also quite epic.

When it comes to battle themes, I definitely prefer the high energy and intense vibes that a battle should realistically induce.

When it comes to a favorite, B2/W2 (Excluding PWT Gen 3 Remix, it gives a different vibe somehow), FR/LG and HG/SS (Both Kanto and Johto). I like the others as well, or practically liking every of them although there's just some exception.

All in all, they're memorable.
