The Pokecommunity mobile app, and everything bad about it

The Pokecommunity mobile app is horrible. I'm not sure if it's authentic or fan made but, seriously, it's horrible. It's advertised as "PokeComm Lite" despite the fact that there isn't even a better version I could buy, and the one time I tried to log on (okay the ten times in rapid succession of one another) it came up with a connection error. Apparently this has been happening to everybod with.the app installed. The only saving grace is that after skipping log in, all of the newest comments in a thread appeared, and I had the option to view them all in different ways e.g. newest to oldest, oldest to newest, and so on, and so forth.

Please, PC. Fix this horrible, horrible app. Or I can ask my cousin, who has a rather good job involving coding things, and I'll see if he can. Just let me know what going on and what I can do. Going on PC using the Chrome app on my mobile is very, very annoying. Thank you.

There's really no need to sound demanding in your first post there.

Anyways, it's been said many times before, but the PokéCommunity mobile app just sucks, and it does, in my personal opinion. I'm not calling out the developers, but the app itself is based around vBulletin's mobile app structure; PC runs the vBulletin software, but there is a lot of customization on PC as well that is incompatible with the app. The app itself broke back when we moved to a new server back last year, and hasn't been fixed, simply because development of the app has paused.

If you want to browse PC on-the-go on your phone, then I suggest you try switching to our mobile-based style by clicking right here.

The app in itself was fan made and considering the date in which it was made public, it's pretty outdated. Some people have attempted to make their own apps for the site recently but have either abandoned the project or lost interest in making it. In the end it comes down to whether or not the devs are interested in making it; I don't think we can forcibly have people "fix" the issue if they personally don't want to do it.

I didn't mean to sound demanding, or pushy. I've had the app for quite a while and first thought that the connection error was on my behalf, until I read the comments. I was trying to access PC last night in bed after a rather long day and I kept getting this error, and as I stated, the normal version of PC doesn't work well on mobiles. I was unaware that there was a mobile version of the site. So I'm sorry if I came off that way.

The last part of my post was simply stating that I could, in fact, have a look into it if the devs would like, and hopefully come up with a solution to fix the app or create a completely new one. Thank you for the link to the mobile version of the website, Tsutarja. I'll definitely be using it.

If you can get your cousin to do it for free then I'm sure PC would be happy - but I doubt PC is going to pay anyone to make an app. And it's not as easy as it might seem, I would know. :P

Huh...I use the non mobile version of the site in the Google app on my phone and don't feel annoyed at all...

I don't really feel like there's a need for a better app, considering the mobile skin has worked just fine on every device I have. I do wish there were some better color options and such for it, but that's an entirely different thread.
