I think the punishment that he received was fair considering what he did to many people on this earth~

But Ray never killed masses and masses of people. :/ It's not right to compare all the mistakes that Ray may have made in his life to that. Unless I'm completely misunderstanding what's going on here. In which case, forget I said anything. XD

Ray didn't commit genocides and massacres~ Sadam did.
I think society would like to see justice in the whole matter of Sadam. That's why he got hanged instead of just shoved in jail.
And.. Why should he continue to waste the government's money for food to feed him after what he did to so many people?
 
Well if the manner of execution is going to be measured by the deeds of a person, then we're really no better than that person. Personally I'm against the death sentence, but if I put that aside, even then I really think that execution of this kind is worse enough, whatever he has done.

I don't think he was tortured.

And even so, we never said it was okay. But I personally think it's the least he deserves.

I never said I was "totally inncoent" (point's back to rebel commment made by Kev =P)

And, as other's have said, I haven't exactly killed anyone.

Not really. To rid this place of someone as evil as him shouldn't really consider us less than him. Considering what he did to all those people, he deserved it.
And why do you say "we"? Are you included? I wasn't part on the decision to keep him alive or not. So you should really be referring to the government, and now "we"~

Yeah, at times everyone disrespects others. But if someone has literally disrespected the entire human race, then they shouldn't get off so lightly.

Why a firing squad? A hanging, when executed properly (excuse the pun), is an almost instant death, since the drop is meant to snap the neck.

I thinks he should have been stoned. Would've been more interesting =P

Poor him.

A firing squad wouldn't have meant instant death, and if your so worried about his neck, imagine what a hail of bullets would have done to his body.

Not really.. some people, like myself, don't care about government -at ALL-
