Grade school in my hometown starts in two days as well. My mom is a teacher, so she has to go back to work too. I get 2 more weeks of freedom. I might go in to my high school too see some of my old teachers. And rub it in to the kids in school that I'm free. XD

I know that feeling, I've been ill with a throat infection from the 8th to the 29th. My throat got so screwed up that I could barely talk. And when I did I sounded like Louis Armstrong XD

You don't actually get a cold from being outside in cold weather. Colds are passed on from people who are carrying the virus already, the wind just makes the virus travel further. So, unless you're in the vicinity of someone who does have a cold, you wont catch one just by being outside.
