I love British comedies.

My favourite's got to be Red Dwarf.

And Two Ronnies are great too.. The fork-handles sketch I'll never forget.

What a strange topic. :P

:P If only the top posters in DCC didn't just quit a couple days ago.... this month could've been as active as it was last January. ;o;

At least there's someone else out there not willing to let the DCC die. ;D
Yes, don't let 22sa-made JDCC die. =D

X_X;

Yeah, last time I really checked in on the DCC (can you tell I'm not in here very often? XD) it was at the point where if it was silent for 10 minutes you were a laughingstock for killing it. Or at least, it felt like it. DX

Rofl, a reference would've been cool too; highly inappropriate but hey, more interesting than leaving "Lightning" in the default I think. XD
Yeah but that was the same time when the DCC was a pure spam fest and blatant post count increaser. It was also damn near impossible to read every single post because by the time it took to reply to one post, literally 15 new replies had been made, so you were always left behind..Well I was anyway. XD

Yeah, I usually add my own input into quoted names rather than being boring, but only if I have something else to put in there. XD

Them and Morecambe & Wise were the best in their time, and still are one of the best now.

Everyone gets a new quote name apart from me. Even Kevin got changed to "Fuz". I feel left out. ;_;
Don't feel left out, it's just because I quoted your post first and had to manually quote theirs, which is why I changed the names. And you are no longer left out. XD

I'm just boring. xD But then, I rarely quote unless I'm 5-10 posts away from the original post anyway, so it usually doesn't matter. If I'm not using the quote buttons, though, I'll usually just put in the person's RL name if I know it because it's faster. :B

That's usually why I stayed out of it back then. Didn't know the people posting in it and I didn't like keeping up since I like longer posts and by the time I'd get my say in, a page had gone by or something. XD

I hardly ever find myself using quotes. Only if it's neccesary to refer back to the post I'm replying to, in case it seems confusing.

Princess? I thought Origin reserved that nick already? :P

I'll probalay use more quotes in the future, the majority of quotes I use right now are when I review fanfiction.

The only time I don't like using quotes is when my internet is laggy. :\ :P

I pretty much always quote because my posts recently have been fairly long and sometimes a thread will get a couple of replies in the time it takes me to type a reply so it just seems a bit odd. XD

That was a big problem there. If you didn't know who you were posting with you had no chance of getting to know them either, since nobody ever read all of the posts. You could ask someone a direct question and they wouldn't reply to it because they didn't even see it.

Running out of God references now. XD

Is that supposed to be a bad thing? Notice the direct link between them leaving the DCC and actual decent conversations arising in this thread?

EDIT: Five replies in the time it took to type that..XD

Well I know you and Fuzzy like it for sure, but I still find it a bit sad. :P

And yes, the quality, well length at least, of posts here, has dramatically changed. o_o;

Edit: PC's server is responsible for most of those lag moments. :P

I don't see the point in having a really active thread. To be honest it just scares me off. o_o I like this pace though. :B

And I see what you mean about the quoting, Dawson. I think you just type slow. I hated how fast it went before, though. o_o It really was just a spammy free-for-all where everyone would post as fast as they could on the topic and read one or two posts to figure out where the topic was shifting and write more on that. It stressed me out, personally. XD;

I hadn't noticed a change in the quality of posts. I'm probably an exception, anyway. My posts tend to be only one liners, but I don't post in the DCC too often. And I'm not always able to think of much to say really.. I try, anyway.

I don't type slow. I do get distracted a lot though, given I have the attention span of a 2 year old. But quoting just lets me make sure that my post gets directed to the person it's aimed at without confusion. And for really long, multipule paragraph replies, I'll multi quote it and reply to each paragraph individually.

This pace is good, it'd be better if there were one or two more people making decent replies at the same time, but at least the posts are worth reading.

The old, old DCCs scared the hell out of me. XD

I have the same attention span, Dawson. :B Took me ALL NIGHT to write that stupid monologue I was working on last night because I got distracted so easily. And right now I should be doing work (sitting in class XD) but every 30 seconds I find myself refreshing PC. @_@

Digital Mage - I'm the same. I do sometimes try to post in here more often, but I never have that much to say for some reason. If I do, I'll post though. :o

Of course it scares you off becuase you don't like having to deal with a lot of posts.... but if you get to know the people here well, it's really no big deal. :P

I can deal with a bunch of posts...just not when they're being posted three a second. xD And like Dawson said, if it's going too fast, you can't even get to know the people posting because there's little one-on-one interaction and such...so you'd maybe be skimming their posts, but you're so preoccupied with just keeping up with the thread that you can't really befriend them properly and thus it doesn't make much of a change in the thread since you still don't "know" who you're posting with.

Or at least, that's how it is with me. @_@

OMG, I wish I was able to use the internet when I was at school. Our school had blocked every single website that wasn't education related >.>

That was the exact reason why I decided to take it upon myself to make better topics to talk about. It worked great when Ashley, Jorge, Sammy, Abby and I were doing it with animal stories.

I haaaate the filter block thingy at our school. I've spend years trying to find a way to get past, and not one that I can be sure works every time. I even uploaded firefox onto my user account so I could download, but some damn technician must have found out and deleted it >.v~
