Gen 4 blessed us with amazing poison types, and Croagunk is one of them. Brock, a rock type gym leader, had a Croagunk in the anime and Darkrai movie. This was the generation that got me into using more poison types.

Well you should. Poison/fighting is a bit risky against psychics with that x4 weakness and now you're weak to ground while also remaining weak to flying. However, you gain 5 resistances including dark, grass, poison, rock, and fighting.
