Yes i do, usually because its the strongest in my team.

I think it was charmander in red. squirtle in blue. im not sure which i got first..

Pikachu, because my first game was yellow. >> I don't know what I got after that. Most likely Silver/Gold, where I chose Cyndaquil.

Yep, I usually do. My starter can usually deal with all types that are used by the Gyms anyway....

Squirtle I believe... back in Blue.

Depends on the typing of the Pokemon in the Gym. Though usually, my starter gives it a try. But I do make sure to have a back up member of the team to help out.

When I first got the game, I chose Bulbasaur because it "was the easiest". But I wasn't happy, so I tried out the other two. I finally settled on Charmander.

I've just started watching the sinnoh episodes. Pipluuuuup *loves*!! I like turtwig too now, he's such a nice fella.
I just loove all the starters, they're just so cuddly. Maybe it's because they're everyones first pokemon. Hmm.. I guess pikachu won't count as a starter. Though it is in yellow. ^^'

Yes, I had used my starter Pokemon against 6 Kanto gym leaders, since the 3rd and 4th gym are tough for my water Pokemon starter. Because it is weak against grass and electric attacks.

Well, usually I use the pokemon that's powerful against the gym type. But often I end up using many different pokemon, so I could say yes.
