Based on cuteness, I'd say Mudkip. Highest attack out of all the basic form of starters too.

Did you ever thought that starter Pokemons from each region can defeat any legendary Pokemon?
Yes. My Infernape on Pearl almost defeated Palkia. If they were real, then no. I don't think any regular Pokemon could stand up to the power of a Legendary.

Cuteness-wise, which starter Pokemon would you choose to be the cutest and why?

Chimchar wins me over all the time. It's a monkey with adorable eyes and a great personality on the anime.

Cuteness-wise, Totodile is my choice as it is cute in the Pokemon episodes and the movie Pokemon Heroes when Latias is pulling Totodile and Ash along on the water during the Alto Mare water race, which was real funny to me.

Would you change the name of any of the starters?
I used to hate the names 'Piplup and Turtwig' but now the names seem cute. Chimchar for the lose.

I found a picture from the Indigo League episode 'Ghost at Maidains peak' where a Talking Gastly that can use Transform :S creates this when Ash triest to battle with Bulbasaur and Squirtle. Gastly calls it Venustoise.

For the English names, yes definitely. But only 4th gen ones tbh. Piplup is errgh.. go Pochama all the way. Same with Naetoru > Turtwig and Hikozaru > Chimchar.

I still prefer the Japanese names... but that's probably because I've got the game in Japanese and watch the anime in Jap... xD

Turtwig. Oh, the many hours my immature friends sat around giggling at this one. It's might be obvious to people why it should be changed. I can understand why they have "turt" in the name (it's a name of a flowering plant), but only people knowledgeable about plants would know that. Your average 10-year-old boy, on the other hand... XD

The thing I don't get is Turtwig is a Tortoise, not a Turtle, just like Grotle Squirtle and Wartortle. Torkoal, Blastoise and Torterra are right though.
