I would have to cross a river to reach the only Starbucks around this city and I don't really feel like doing it.

...like, crossing a river over a bridge, or crossing it by literally wading through the river water? 'Cause one of those options ain't like the other.

Mate, Portugal is retarded but it's not that retarded, we have bridges here :D Especially when talking about the second largest city

But I would have to use the underground trains else it would be a lot of walking time. And pay for the train ride or walk for more than half an hour just for a Starbucks? Nah.
 
When you mention the underground + walk, your dissatisfaction makes much more sense. I just had this image of the lone Starbucks in Porto being stuck behind a moat guarded by an impenetrable wall that only the rich can cross!
 
We have one Chick-fil-A in town outside our mall and it's in a bad location in a really active area with a tiny parking lot so it literally stops and fucks up traffic every day at lunch time. Ppl loose their fucking minds for chicken sandwiches yo
 
There's no Chick-fil-A's in Canada as far as I know, but I hear good things about it!

There are several KFCs here actually, two shopping malls in this area have one

As for the other two, same as Harry, they're a transatlantic flight away
