So, from Gen 1, to Gen 6, we had to go through the prestigious Victory Road. Victory Road is sort of like a 'final cave/dungeon', where each trainer, when they get 8 badges, are allowed to pass through Victory Road as a sort of final test in the road to becoming the League Champion.

    0:00 -- Victory Road (FireRed/LeafGreen)
    0:40 -- Victory Road (HeartGold/SoulSilver)
    1:28 -- Victory Road (Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald)
    2:30 -- Victory Road (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum)
    3:07 -- Victory Road (Black/White)
    4:07 -- Victory Road (X/Y)

In Victory Road, you have to solve puzzles, go through a perplexing cave filled with strong wild pokemon, and arguably the strongest trainers that you will meet before you enter the Elite Four. Basically, you have to recall everything that you've learned and apply them in this place.

That said, which version of Victory Road is your favorite? Least favorite? Most challenging, in your opinion? Least challenging, in your opinion? Most annoying, in your opinion? Which had the best music? Any interesting stories to share? Something you'd like to see in a later Victory Road?

Feel free to share all thoughts & ideas!

I love BW2's the most primarily because of the variety of rooms. The Victory Roads in Kanto-Sinnoh took place entirely in a cave, and BW's and XY's mostly took place in one with some outer parts. But in BW2 you have caves, a forest, and an outside. It's also the only Victory Road that has thin trees, iirc! Loved going through it a lot, and I also found it challenging in Challenge Mode.

Least favorite would have to be Johto's. It's too easy to get through as it's short and there's no Trainers to fight (sans your rival, who only appears in it once).

Most challenging was Kanto's, but only when I was little. Now I'd have to say Hoenn's or Sinnoh's because I usually didn't carry a Pokemon--HM Slave included--with Flash or Defog. Sinnoh's also required a lot of HMs, so if I didn't have a Pokemon that could learn Surf or Waterfall I would need two HM Slaves x_x

Hoenn's and Kalos's Victory Roads have my favorite soundtracks. Hoenn's and Kalos's sound the most epic of the bunch. BW's is also pretty good, so it gets an honorable mentions.

Something that'd be interesting to see in future Victory Roads is one that isn't mostly cave. It'd be neat if most of it were a thick forest (which would also mean only certain patches of grass would have Pokemon rather than the whole area, something I'd find really convenient) or an ancient ruin or something.

My favorite is surely BW2's Victory Road. As mentioned above, it has so many cool rooms to go through, including a ghost temple, a forest, two cliffsides, and the ruins of N's Castle. And on Challenge Mode the trainers are super high leveled and can be brutal if not approached properly! I really enjoyed going through it.

Other than Johto's, my least favorite would have to be Hoenn's because of the awkward design and requirement of so many stupid HMs to get through, including Flash, Strength and Rock Smash. I don't enjoy that one much at all.
