[Challenge] The Solo Challenge

And it's time to talk about my Butterfree run.

I like Butterfree, despite it usually falling behind in the end game. It also doesn't learn many good STAB moves, so I had to relay on Confusion, Psychic and similar moves for most of the game.

The battle with Brock was harder than usual. I had to get lucky with confusion cased my Confusion to win over Onix.

With Sleep Powder and Confusion on my side, Misty wasn't a hard oponent.

Lt. Surge had an advantage over Butterfree and it was annoying to deal with paralysis.

Erika, on the other hand, was a breeze. I even had to beat her twice, because I forgot to take a screen at the end of the battle.

Getting Silver Wind was crucial in defeating Sabrina. And overleveling also helped.

And Psychic came handy for Koga. To be honest, my Rival's Charizard was a bigger threat than these two.

Which brings me to Blaine. His Pokémon's Fire Blast could OHKO Butterfree and it took me few tries of Sleep Powder-ing them and beating them with Psychic.

And poor Giovanni was again quite a pushover over Rival's Charizard.

I was afraid of E4 battles, because my moveset wasn't the best for 5 battles. I got some X items just to be sure. And while beating Lorelei was possible without them, I had to set up +6 to Sp. Attack and Speed on Bruno, because his Pokémon all knew move to counter Butterfree. I was running low on PP on Agatha, so I set up again to conserve PP. And I set up again on both Lance and Rival, but also used Sleep Powder on their aces just to be sure.

Overall, it was fun run. Rival's Charizard was the biggest threat of the run, closely followed by all kinds of Onix. It wasn't something I was expecting, so it caught me off-guard.
