Is cheating allowed? Just so i could get scizor and steelix. If not, i'll have to pick something else...

Ok, so I started my game on FireRed. After all the story stuff (picked squirtle) I hacked in an Absol on Rt. 3 or something. Currently training in Viridian Forest. Will do a more detailed post next time.

And another pair idea is Gliscor and Drapion - both scorpions.

Named myself Inferno.

Changed the starter to Hitmonchan, delivered Oak's Parcel, and captured a Hitmonlee.
Now it's time to do some training.
Defeated Blue at the Indigo Plateau. Now on to Viridian Forest.
Hitmonlee's Double Kick destroys Brock.
Caught a Paras in Mt. Moon for Cut.
Defeated Misty and Surge. Saved in front of Rock Tunnel.

First real update. Name is Dua, rival Bua.

Hacked in Absol on Rt 2 and named her Torcane.
Went through Viridian Forest easily enough, though I used all my Antidotes.

Beat Brock. It took a few Leers and a Potion.

Bought a Magikarp from the Mt. Moon PC and named her Kraken.
Went through Mt. Moon, where I caught a Clefairy named Pinky.
Outside Cerulean, I caught a Spearow for trade bait later.
Beat Bua on Nugget Bridge, then saved.

Team Dua:

Ability: Swift Swim
Moves: Splash

Torcane the Lax Absol, ♀ - L24
Ability: Pressure
Moves: Bite, Quick Attack, Razor Wind, Thief

Hey guys, is it alright if I do Magmortar/Electivire on Heart Gold? I was planning on hacking a rom to get Magby as a starter, and receive an Elekid in Cherrygrove or something. Also change the evolution method to holding+levelling up with the respective items rather than having to trade.

Actually, is it possible to even get the magmarizer/electerizer before the Elite 4? Otherwise, I can hack it so that I can get them sometime around the 8th badge or so? What do you guys think?

OK, but let me put a limit on that. Hack one of them as the Starter, then put the other available sometime after the... third badge, and however you decide to evolve it, you must have seven badges before doing so.

Talking of that, we could add to the pair's list some B/W Pokèmon, like:

a) Miruhog - Lepardas (Team Plasma's most common Pokèmon)
b) Nageki - Dageki
c) Erufuun - Doredia
d) One of the three monkeys (Yanappu/Pansage, Boappu/Pansear, Hiyappu/Panpour)
e) Gochiruzeru - Rankurusu
f) Shubarugo - Agirudaa
g) Wargle - Barujina
h) Ononokusu - Sazandora (not too sure about this one, you're gonna rape the game if you use them :D)

So, if you're going to add some of this pairs, I'll use one of them later.

Then did all the way up to Raimon City (3 badges right now), I think I'll hack Electrizer and Magmarizer. Traded also two hacked Mews with all HMs.

Cleared Rock Tunnel. Defeated a bunch of trainers and headed to Celadon City.
Defeated Erica, cleared Cycling Road, etc. Did all the stuff you were supposed to do.
Defeated Koga, then cleared Sliph Co. Took on Sabrina. It wasn't hard because of the Psychic types, but because of the darn Gastlys and Haunters. The only attacks I had that could hit them were Hitmonchan's ThunderPunch and Ice Punch.
Took out Blaine and Giovanni.
Took out the E4. Defeated Blue. Challenge complete! 8D

Update 1:
-Picked Marshstomp as my starter and had to use it all the way until Route 110 where I caught Plusle and Minun
-Grinded them both to level 23 and moved on to mauville
-Realized I was outclassed by Wattsons electric Pokemon so I grinded the Duo to level 27
-Somehow managed to score a lucky critical hit on Manectric and won the Dynamo badge
-Caught a HM slave Poochyenna for Rock Smash and made my way north
-Beat team Magma and then made it to Lavaridge and defeated Flannery
-Got outclassed by my own father in the Petalburg gym so I had to grind the duo to level 36 before I was finally able to take down Norman's Slaking
-Easily defeated Winona and started making my way to Lilycove
-Lost to Liza & Tate too many times and decided to call it a day while trying to grind to level 44
