The Star in the Sky

Travis felt Kaki's hand brush his cheek and came close to doing something he'd never thought he would do.

"Hey, Ryota, why is it that Pokemon always fall over and go to sleep when they get hurt?" The young Travis asked his Zangoose "brother".

<Um...> Ryota began, scratching his head, <It's not really going to sleep. We just get really tired, so we faint.>

"What's it like to faint?"

Ryota was caught off-guard. <Umm... I'm not really all that sure, since I don't lose too often, you know?

Travis nodded.
Aniki was tough. There was no way he could lose.

<But when I do faint, it doesn't really feel like much. I just blank out.> Ryota continued.

"But if you don't lose, why did you faint?" Travis asked innocently.

<Um... I was kind of falling head over heels for this one girl, and- oh, you wouldn't understand.>

"Tell me!"

<Fine... I was really, like, super-crazy about her, and one day- now don't laugh- I got hurt, and she came over to ask me if I was alright, and I just sort of- fainted.>

"That's a dumb reason for you to faint,
Aniki."

<Laugh all you want, it may happen to you someday.>

"Yeah, right."

"Za..." Travis murmured softly, carefully bringing his hand up to where Kaki's rested on his cheek. As she mouthed "Are you OK" to him, he couldn't help the feeling that this, this, feeling inside of him was like nothing he had ever experienced. Ever. He began to mouth back "I'm fine", but something stopped him. It was the moment he had been waiting for. Without warning, he leaned in and kissed.

It was over in a moment, nothing drawn out, just a quick, over-in-a-moment kiss. That was all. He drew back almost immediately, his face red as a turnip. He hadn't meant to do that, he knew. His body had almost acted on its own. He forced himself to resist the urge to apologize.

OOC: I'm definitely pathetic. Sixteen years, and I'm already attempting to write a "first kiss" scenario with no prior experience. Meh.

Kaki searched Travis' face as she waited for his reply to her question, wondering if he understood her. Her hand still lingered on his cheek, her thumb running over his cheek as she tilted her head at him slightly.

"Travis?" She mouthed, looking like he was zoned out. He seemed to come back to reality with a murmur of "Za," and then he placed his hand upon her own. He began to mouth something back but he never finished because his lips collided with hers for just one sweet moment before he pulled away.

She looked up at him, finding that he was as red as a beat, yet he didn't appologize like she expected him to. Even though she, too, was blushing, Kaki suddenly smiled widely and moved herself to draw their lips together once more, but she didn't pull away.

Zaiku had woken up some time later, not knowing how long he had been sleeping for. He walked out of his room and remembered how Tom had amnesia, Zaiku's mindpower had been restored, as people say, rest is essential for a clear mind.

Zaiku thought that Tom must've drained his memories when fighting with that Zigzagoon in the bathroom, Zaiku thought that time would recover it but it was wither to check on Tom, or Aj. Obvious choice... Tom.

Zaiku went back with Tom and asked
"Do you remember anything at all?"

((I always thought turnips were more of a creamy colour ... but it does sound funny O-o; ))

Theresa nodded eagerly at Ruya, smiling. She hadn't meant it to be cheeky or toothy, but it still had - tiny fangs were visible at the upturned corners of her mouth. "Will he be okay mya?" she asked, then clamped her hands on iether side of her head. "U-uguu ... ouch ... Migraine ..." she grunted, falling onto all fours and curling into a defensive little ball. Sweat poured from her face, yet a chill was running through her whole body. Her eyes squeezed shut and she collapsed, exhauseted onto the ground, shaking like a leaf. "M-myauu... I think I'm .. coming down with a ... fever," she whimpered as her laboured breathing grew fainter.

((Sorry. In a not very good mood at the moment. Family issues. It sucks. I'll expand on it later.))

After his daily night stroll Davis went into the Pokemon Center alone , since Shi was at her friend's house. "Yeesh , I've got quil to go to cynda sleep. Grrr Cynda my speech is quil getting messed up Quil!" Davis complained with a slight frown. He passed an open door and heard some talking. He stopped at the edge of the doorway and heard Kaki and Travis talking , or Kaki trying to talk at least , as she couldn't even speak.

"Za..." Travis began. Davis knew everyone was going to lose their speech soon , so he understood with the little 'za.' "I'm fine" He finished. Davis looked in through the doorway to see the kiss Travis gave Kaki. Davis almost blushed at the sight of it. He was just seven feet away from Travis as he backed up entirely. Kaki was also blushing at the same time. She looked at Travis for a moment , and she went in for a kiss too , not backing away.

Davis was happy to see that Travis and Kaki were doing well. Now he had one other errand to do. Check on AJ.

Davis neared AJ's door and stood there. AJ is turning into Lucario , he will probably be able to sense me with his wave guiding... Davis thought. Davis was still worried about how AJ still didn't remember him , and how violent he was. He got his flame ready for any sudden attack and opened the door , only to see AJ standing there. "Holy crud! You scared the quil out of me! Cynda!" Davis exclaimed.

OOC: Omega... My character is unconsious... I'll let it slip for now and post to mold with it.

AJ had woken up and screamed, the pain that was upon him was unbearable, but he would have to deal with it for now. AJ looked back and fourth, looking around the room with a childs curiousity. The room looked to be like it was a medical room, not a very good one though, AJ felt a wetness on his face and realised he had been crying while he was asleep. There also seemed to be a little bit of dried blood on his mouth, his mouth was fine though. It was his chest.

AJ tried to find the strength to lift his furry blue and black arms, he tried to feel his chest a little and winced, it was mostly dried blood and such. The hole in his chest was the width of a Soda can, fairly small, but it was more damage then if he had been shot or something like that.

AJ now wished he had just stayed home, to be cozy in bed while sipping hot choclate and playing games, or maybe just cuddling with his bunny rabbit plush. AJ didn't want to be tough right now, he just wanted to be a kid, not having to kill or fight. Just relaxing. AJ pulled off the cover's he was covered with, they were slightly stained with his wound's blood, but it would come out in the wash.

AJ slowly sat up and nearly screamed again, it hurt dearly but he would be okay. He lathargicly pulled off his stained and ripped white trench coat and put it on the end of the bed. AJ then started to pull of his sweaty, bloody and nasty black shirt. He could now really see the hole that went through him and it wasn't pretty, AJ pulled off his shorts as well and put them by the shirt. He then continued to open the night stand next to him and fish out some PJ's, they were very baggy and blue striped, but cozy.

AJ pulled his bag to himself and opened it, he then pulled out a Pink rabbit plush, he was in some serious need of relaxation. AJ started to limp out of the room while hugging the plush, AJ opened the door and to his shock found a suprised Davis. AJ was starting to get tired, " Davis.. Can you carry me? I'm kind of tired. Take me to Tom..." AJ mumbled groggily.

Zaiku had heard the horrible scream so he teleported away from Tom and to AJ where the scream had come from, what Zaiku noticed REALLY caught him off guard.

AJ had no evil in him, he could just sense it. All the bloodthirst, just not there. He was cuddling to a little rabbit plush doll and in pygamas. He had seemed really just well... Inoccent... There was nothing more to say.

It was clear that he had been more like his former self before transforming.
Zaiku asked, "Are you ok?"

I didn't know anyone. Therefore, I planned not to talk to anyone. It may have seemed rude, but I could not openly talk with anyone that I did not know. I felt a hidden danger for some reason.

By then, I had left the bathroom. I was shocked to find where I was, and the first thought was what exactly the place I was in called. It was so unfamiliar to me.

There were quite a few couches near the entrances. They were pretty empty. Seeing as I had nothing more to do, I sat down. There, I began to think about everything. Or at least try to.

I tried thinking about before the bathroom, but I could not. I did not remember a single thing.

I was in way too deep in my thoughts that I did not notice someone sit right next to me. A Sableye kid. A pretty young one too.

"So, how's life pulling for you?" the Sableye asked.

The question was random to me; I was unsure of how to answer at first, and only managed to stutter a few out before I just clammed up. There was nothing to say. "I guess okay…" I was not sure if life was being mean to me or not. I did not remember.

"So things are going pretty good then?" the Sableye asked.

"…Yeah…" I answered.

"Well you know," he said as he shifted his position towards me, "although this is slightly creepy for me too, I think that I'm doing just great."

"That's good I guess…" I had not really grasped a look upon the Sableye too closely, but at the second I was able to turn and look at the boy in the eyes, I thought that I saw a tear in his eyes. "Are you sure that you're alright?" I don't know why, but that question came out naturally. It was as if I knew that this is how I acted, and that would be the way I was supposed to act.

"Oh yeah, I'm good," he answered. "Listen, what's your name again?"

"Uh…" I was not quite sure. I remembered the two others that had come up to me before. They both had called me Tom. "People call me Tom."

"Yeah…so do you live around here?"

"I think so. I'm not sure."

The Sableye looked away for a moment, as if worried that someone was going to come and get him soon. He turned back to me and smiled. He said, "Yeah, well I got to go. See ya around Tom."

As he stood up, I had to ask one question, and only this one. "Hey…Aren't Sableyes the wild types that do crazy things, well, you know, during the night and day? I mean, like pranksters?"

The kid seemed to laugh at me for a moment. "Here I was thinking you were going to ask what my name was. So yeah, I guess what you're saying is right; I'm not too sure why I'm becoming a Sableye, but you know, I think I'm gonna like these late night pranks to come. They show that I'm alive again."

It was then that he left, without anything else said. I was about to say some more, but all that came out was a mix of slurs with "duck" and "psy."

Then that part of my memory came back to me; I remembered something. I remembered that we could hardly speak anymore; that we were having trouble doing so. And yet…throughout the entire conversation I just had, neither the Sableye kid nor I said a single Pokemon slur.

And then I woke up, raising myself from the couch I had been resting on. I looked around. There was no sign of the Sableye kid. And there was no sign that the conversation I just had had ever taken place.

"Psy…psy, it 'swas a psyream?" I wondered. I still had no clue of who I was. Now I was double confused; was my name actually Tom? What was with the dream, if it was a dream?

I questioned myself; was it possible to have a dream so fast? And what did it mean if it meant anything?

I thought more about it. And I remembered what he had said; "See ya around Tom." If my dream meant anything at all, was it this sentence that meant something to me?

Davis looked at AJ for a bit and nodded. "Okay , sure. I'll take you to Tom." Davis hoisted AJ onto his back and walked all the way to Tom's room. He opened the door to find Zaiku. "Tom still hasn't recovered from memory loss? Well , this might just be a big problem if he doesn't get his memory back soon. We're gonna need him through and through until this is over."

Davis looked at AJ over his shoulder and started to speak. "AJ needed to see Tom , let's just let rest while we go talk in the corner. Davis grabbed Zaiku by the arm all the way to the corner and started to whisper. "I know about his hostile emotions. I think it's because of the fact he's becoming Rioru , and will turn into the wave guiding Pokemon Lucario , Cynda. Wequil should be careful and daquil try to stop him from hurting more people."

OOC: ...Well, what with me and Theresa being heartily ignored...I think I'll just pretend I'm still in the spot I was left in and help the little Meowth girl.

IC: AJ vanished from Ruya's arms and, though completely confused, she just assumed he had used some power or someone else had and taken him somewhere safe. She didn't get any chance to comment on this because the Meowth girl was acting oddly. The girl grabbed her head then fell and curled into a ball. "Sne-" she started in a concerned tone.

"M-myauu... I think I'm .. coming down with a ... fever."

The words seemed to cost some effort and Ruya became aware of the difficulty the girl was having with breathing. She didn't have a clue what was wrong or what she could do to help. Well...there might be something. If she had a fever she could cool her off with a light ice attack. Now, how to use Icy Wind? Not too hard. How about making it weaker than usual?

"I guess it's just, sne, trial and error, zel,...without the error part, sneasel." She grinned toothily at the Meowth girl. "Ignore what I just said, sel. Just, snea, se, talking to myself. Umm...,sneee, I dunno...err, want me to try to cool, zel sne, you off?" She breathed a small amount of snow-powdered wind into the air. It was meant to be a demonstration but the snow drifted lazily down onto the girl. For a moment she was covered in a fine white powder, then the snow melted.

"Err...eh...sneasel sne...ahem, I mean, sel, sorry." Her serious mood melted and she let out a soft giggle. One claw was pressed over her mouth to muffle the sound and she fought to keep her mischievous nature from taking over again.

OOC: She's not the best person to have with you in a crisis...

AJ decided to go on his own, despite his totall loss of energy and of other circumstances that had happened to the blue and black furred wave guilder earlier. AJ took one last very angry glare at the two in the corner, they, No not they. Davis. AJ had a hot feeling in his head, concentrated at Davis, it made AJ very mad that he was talking about his hostile emotion. Talking badly about him. AJ bared his teeth as he left the room, and as he left, a book by the corner went up into flames and then to ashes. AJ found himself in a hallway full of emptiness and the dark, he was no longer in a fragile state but back to his sarcastic, sadistic self, Before Sin.

I Wish I could Fly up into the Sky, so very high just like a dragonfly, I'd fly above the trees and beyond the seas in all degrees to where ever I please.

AJ Sighed but let the tune flow through him.

I want to get away, I want to fly away!
Yeah yeah yeah

Oh I want to get away
I want to fly away
Yeah yeah yeah

Let's go and see the stars
The milky way or even Mars
Where it could just be ours

Let's fade into the sun
Let your spirit fly
Where we are one
Just for a little fun
Oh oh oh yeah !

AJ reached the end of the hallway and felt himself go into the lobby, he felt alot more happy then before where his anger had gotten the better of him.

Not so fast, I Just need to do something real quick

AJ's eyes glowed a somewhat crimson orange and he revealed his dark smile, The rabbit that had been in his arms burned away in a quick fire as he let it. He blew the ashes away and let the PJ's burn away as well, he allowed himself to become of seventeen and with a flash of blue light he was wearing his Black shirt and pants with the white trenchcoat.

Sin came up to Tom who was on the lobby couch, Sin sat on the chair right across from Tom and looked directly at Tom. " Hi there, How's it going?" Sin asked first and then followed up his question; " Look, We havn't met before. But I think that you want to know more. Your confused and needing of help, Isn't that right, Tom?"

OOC: I don't know where to go from here... can we move the roleplay ahead a day or so, so we can get to the whole 'give the feathers to Morty' thing? I had my entire big post planned out for his vision too...

OOC: Yeah, sorry to be sapmming up the thread with OOC's, but I agree with ACC here. I mean, there isn't much I can get Zaiku to do from this point.

PS: I saw the number plates ZKU 734, I think you know whos name is aqbbrieviated there.XP And I also saw a restaurant called the Kaki Lima Restaurant

OOC: This is Random Fan (obviously) and I am here to tell a message. I am leaving, and not coming back until near the end of this month. This could be a problem for the RP to progress. So, I am appointing ACC to temporary leader, who will change the days when ever he feels is right, and move it how ever he wants it. ACC, if you don't want the position, then give it to someone else in the RP. I'm kind of in a hurry, so I don't have time to explain everything in detail. However, I will say that after this post is the next day in RP time.

--

I looked at the one who sat next to me. Strange, but he seemed really…different from the rest. Somehow, I felt this.

"Okay…" I said. "I guess some help would be good…duck, uh, but what psynd of help are you giving me?" Strange question, but I felt I should ask. There was something different to this person. A silent alarm was ringing inside of me. It was not my emotions at all; it appeared to some kind of power I had.

And then the ringing became louder, only in my head. I had a headache.

"Psy, never mind. My psyduck—eh—head hurts." I held my head in my arms. There was one thing I needed to know, though; where was I going to stay? Did I have a room or something? "Psy, I am ducking to go. Eh, going."

With that said, I left the Center. I was not sure where I was going to go. I just knew that I was going to be gone.

Once out of there, I looked at my surroundings. I wasn't familiar with any of the places there. It gave me the chills for a moment. I was a little afraid of stepping onto the street to cross. It was just so different to me; I was lost here.

But I wasn't about to let that get to me. If I was where I was, and if I had lost my memory (which seemed to be the case), then somehow, I had to gain it back. I could walk around until I remembered something familiar; that might work. Or I could just stay still.

But I didn't, and eventually through the night, I left town on my own. I had no reason for this other than to chase something I was not sure I was getting back; my memory.

--

If you guys try to look for me, just try very hard not to find me. I will have my character return when this little trip I'm taking is over. >_>;

Oh, and if someone decides to join, whoever is the leader (I assume ACC XD), you decide whether to allow the person to join or not. Make the decision good though. >.>

Bye bye for awhile, and good luck! (don't let it die! D: )

OOC: I am both shocked and amazed at this new and surprising development. 0_o

IC:

Travis straightened up, scratching the back of his head with a long claw. This is really, going to be a long day, za. He mused as he opened his mouth to yawn.

It had been exactly twelve hours since he and Kaki had shared their first kiss. Frankly, it had been a little embarassing, but overall it had been worth it. However, that was not the issue now. The problem was not his emotions, but his ability to express them. Since last night, he had been completely unable to communicate using normal human language. It was a struggle to bark out a simple sentence in English, a lengthy speech would take an eternity. It would probably be a few more days, he reasoned, before they would all be able to speak to each other and understand. In the meantime, it was going to be tough to communicate, especially for him. With his thick, hard claws, it would be nearly impossible for him to hold a pencil, so he couldn't even depend on being able to write.

The pearl necklace he had been given was twined around his wrist in a style similar to the necklaces of prayer beads worn by the monks at the nearby tower. He still hadn't figured out its purpose, but he didn't feel like ditching it. It might turn out to be important.

At the moment, he was basking in the sun on a bench near the Pokemon Center, waiting for the others. According to Cain, Tom had somehow developed amnesia, so Travis decided it was probably best to leave him with Nurse Joy for a bit while he and the rest took a trip down to Morty's with the wings. Knowing Morty, he was probably steamed at Travis's delay in the journey. Travis shuddered at the thought of the pain that would probably end up being inflicted upon him.

OOC: 6 days and nobodies posted! Gah, I'll do it myself

Zaiku took out his pokenav and looked at the digital picture of he and his Erureido together. Zaiku's lips curved into a smile.
"Soon Erureido, soon." he had whispered to himself as he grabbed his bag and got ready to meet with the others outside.

Within the 12 hours that had passed. Zaiku had already bought a more appropriately sized outfit. It was baggy and comfortable medium shade green pants, a sleeveless green martial arts robe, and since becoming a partial pokemorph, his waistline had shrunk dramatically, thus he had bought a black martial arts belt, even though he hadn't ever studied martial arts in his life. It made him look stronger being a black belt, and might intimidate opponents. He was wearing it right now rather loosely. Big black Z was on the back of his robe, which abviously stood for his name. He had gotten smaller sized shoes, just plain black sneakers. Zaiku had always liked the colour green, it had appealed to him so much.

On closer inspection, hhis black belt had a pokeball design on it, while his pants had black Erureido outlines on the kneecaps. Truthfully, Zaiku looked like some .nutjob Ralts, who clearly wants to become an Erureido, and already shared simmilar personality traits with its future evolution.

Zaiku noticed it was particularly sunny outside of the pokemon center. Travis had seemed to be the only one there, he must've bee waiting for the others. Zaiku sat down on the bench as well.
"So," Zaiku began, "Our quest is nearly over huh?" It's been one heck of an adventure." Zaiku stated cheerily, as he was happy to get to see Erureido again.

OOC: Sorry , I've been in Japan for a while so I didn't get to post over the excitement. And with Zelda gone for the Summer , I don't know what to do , but I could control her character for the time being.

third person POV : Davis

Davis looked around at all of the Pokemon/people that were walking around him. He was completely in a trance as he had memories in Ekruteak , especially around the Tin Tower. What he remembered the most though was how he met his first Pokemon , Waterga , his Empoleon.

Flashback to five years ago

"Wow , look at how big the Tin Tower is up close!!! It must be a couple of hundred feet high!" Davis ran into the holy place. He was amazed by the structure and how the object in the middle always swayed yet never broke off. He ran around the inside until he heard a slight cry. "Woah , what was that!? I better go check it out!" Davis ran up the stairs to the second floor. He heard the cry get even louder. He looked around to find that the noise was that of a Piplup. The Piplup looked as if it was abandoned , which was illegal in Ekruteak unless it was released officially. "Hey , boy. Were you abandoned? Here , come with me. I could take care of you if you want." Davis told the Piplup. The Piplup looked up at him with joy and leapt into his arms , letting Davis carry him to his new home.

end of flashback

Travis turned to see Zaiku sitting next to him. Not trusting his voice to answer for him, he simply nodded and gave an affirmative "za", before continuing his gaze ahead.

The young trainer stood side-by-side with his Zangoose, as they both looked ahead towards the sunrise.

"Ecruteak... we've spent so long here, I almost feel like a native!" the young Travis laughed.

<Eh, not that long,> Ryota replied, absentmindedly scratching his back with a long claw. <Only three months.>

"Compared with the two weeks we planned on, it is." Travis reminded him, laughing.

Ryota smiled back. <I guess this is really the beggining of our journey then, eh Travis?>

"Yeah."

Setting their sights on the horizon, the two stepped forward, and at the same time broke into a run, just as the sun appeared from behind the horizon.

As Travis gazed ahead, a single tear ran down his cheek. Sometimes it isn't the destination, but the journey itself that counts, he remembered his father saying.

He just hoped that during this particular journey, no matter what the destination, his aniki would be there to help him along the way.

OOC: It has been TOO LONG. I can't believe I had to move! (Yeah, that's why I lost access for a while.)
