Okay, I guess I'll just start over again.

Are you allowed to use HM Slaves in battle as well?

HM slaves can be used in battle only if they match your type. If they are anything besides your chosen type, you can carry them around as long as you don't use them to fight any trainers (fighting wild Pokemon is okay, since some Pokemon need to evolve in order to use certain HMs).

Finally another update.

I went through the whole Team Galactic stuff, defeated Cyrus and KO'd Giratina.
Went back to Pastoria and to the move tutor to get rid of Juda's Rock Polish for Sucker Punch.
Then I went to Wayward cave and got TM 26 Earthquake!
Gave Earthquake to Rampardos and got rid of Screech.
Went to Sunyshore and got my 8th and final badge. Next update will be the end of Sinnoh!

Crystal is going a bit slow...so far all that has happened is I cleared the Rocket Hideout (no thanks to Lance) and in doing so, Godzilla evolved! Then I saved...

(Brooke: The Chosen Water-type Master) She started with Johto, which is irregular for Type Masters to do, usually starting in Kanto. Ever since finding out about Suicune, she has wanted to capture it, but cannot use it. (A little rule I made for myself: You may capture minor legendaries if they correspond to the type, but DO NOT USE.)

I gotta say, Heracross was stronger than my Level 19 Spinarak when it was Level 10. I think both Timelord suck (atleast until it becomes Ariados) and that Heracross is really strong.
