    Another promise, another seed
Another, packaged lie to keep us trapped in greed
And all the, green belts wrapped around our minds
And endless, red tape to keep the truth confined
    . . .
    They will not force us
    They will stop degrading us…

Chris pulled his earphones out one by one, leaning onto the wall of a rundown building as the music faded away, revealing the sound of a busy marketplace in the town center. And, in the center of this center, was the infamous (but now destroyed) fountain where Isabel stood, casually flipping though the paper. Chris begrudgingly kept an eye on her. He hated not knowing what Is was planning ever since he joined the Uprising, and today was no exception. Yeah, if any of them were captured, the information would put them all in danger; but then again, Chris had been captured the first time he was here (twice, actually. And to be fair, he was unconscious for a majority of the first time and- *shot*)

With a sigh, Chris reached into his bag, pulling out a Red Tauros he bought on the way, quickly opening and downing half of the drink. Sleeping outside on the ground hadn't done him any favors.

"Gah.. Wakes you right up. Eh, Sa-?" Chris paused as he realized the Pikachu wasn't on his shoulder, instead tucked safely away in her Pokeball. It was strange not having her on his shoulder as he always did, but they were in Katsu now. The same rules and habits in Johto and Hoenn don't apply here.

With another sigh, Chris downed the rest of the energy drink and tossed it towards a trashcan about ten feet away. But due to a combination of lady-luck taking a well-deserved vacation and his lack of hand-eye coordination, the can bounced off of its target, landing with a clatter a few feet away from the trashcan. Groaning, Chris walked over to the can, snatching it up and placing it in the trashcan to avoid another miss, before returning to his spot.

    "Sabey, wait up! Sabeyyy!"

With something that resembled a facepalm, Chris slinked away from the town square. Audrey was never the subtle type anyways. Letting out a sigh and putting his hands behind his head, Chris began his walk to the rendezvous point.

(OOC: And Merry Christmas everyone! :3)

A teenager whistled to catch Alan's attention from over near the fountain. "Over here, mate," the boy called. He didn't seem to be much older than Alan, but seemed to know what he was doing.
Alan walked over, his pace increased slightly by nervousness. He managed to stop himself from glancing around furtively, as that would only make him look suspicious.
"I got Isabel's message a bit late," he said to the teen in a low voice. "I'm here to join the...group."

The teenager walked quickly over to Paul, he was nervous, it was the way he was walking that gave it away.

"I got Isabel's message a bit late," The teenager said, in a low voice "I'm here to join the...group."

"Right..." said Paul as he quickly thought about a few scenarios, he could take the teenager directly to the meeting point, not really an option as he couldn't trust the teenager yet. Next was simply lying to the kid and saying he didn't know what he was on about but that wouldn't work he had called him over in the first place. Lastly he could try telling the teenager to split up and meet him some place near the edge of town later, hoping that he would be able to meet someone else, likely Isabel or Chris, who would decide what to do. That seemed like the best option, but where could they meet?

"... head north from here and wait out side of town near the main road but out of sight of the road and the town, got that? I'll send someone to meet you. See ya and good luck." Paul extended a hand to the teenager.

Charlie obeyed with a grumble. The way she had spoken was most certainly not pleasant, although, maybe she was tired. Charlie headed off a bit towards the PXS base where he had seen a Porta Potty. He slipped in and changed into the outfit of which he had bundled on Mama's back. It was his usual tanktop and khaki pants and when he was done, he slipped the hoodie Isabel had give him over it. When he had finished, he promptly ran north towards the meeting grounds.

(OOC: Sorry @-@ Not really much I could think of and our commander and chief requested a post :P)

"That idiot…" Isabel hissed angrily to herself as she roughly pushed aside tree branches. "If he draws unwanted attention to us, I swear that I will personally see to it that he suffers dire consequences…"

She was currently making her way through a wood that ran parallel to the north road heading out of Chipper City. It was a little more difficult to navigate than she had originally anticipated with a large duffel bag, but it wasn't anything she couldn't manage. Chances were that Audrey was still tagging along behind her like a puppy, but Isabel herself was a little to distracted to check.

I should never have let that incompetent child rejoin… But even as she thought that, she knew why she had. Charlie's air of complete and total idiocy (albeit not totally unwarranted) had been the perfect guise under which he could infiltrate the ranks of PXS as a mindless lackey. How he ended up pulling it all off was still a mystery to her, but him accomplishing that feat and instilled a hope in her that he had grown up a little bit over the past few years and would prove to be a little more useful… But it had quickly become apparent that such hopes were ill placed. Hopefully he would at least serve to be a friend and distraction to Audrey, as there was no way Isabel could find the time to always deal with the girl herself.

Isabel began to veer to the right. After a few minutes, she was able to see the clear gravel area that made up the road upon which she would meet the Uprising members.

"Nothing left to do now except wait, I suppose…" she sighed.

Isabel walked a little while longer until she found an area that would leave her relatively well-hidden from all except those who were looking. She reached into her left sleeve, feeling the small lumps hidden away behind a piece of fabric she had sewn there.

    Don't worry, guys… I'll make everything right. I promise.

((OOC: See? I posted, I actually posted! :D))

Sar was used to getting up at all hours. It barely phased her, although she still thought it was bloody stupid of the Uprising to hold a meeting in the middle of the town at daybreak. It was quiet out here, which meant that anybody in an alley could probably overhear them - as if just milling about there wasn't bad enough.

The Uprising was going to kill her for real this time. Instead of a bullet through her leg (the scars still throbbed in the cold), she would get one through the heart because her superior was a self-righteous and soft-hearted bastard and she was expendable. She sighed and ran a hand through her hair. Short and blonde now, she noted - a far cry from the knotted length of sapphire she'd had the last time she joined a revolution. Well, 'joined' in the loosest term possible, and only for a day.

At the moment she was strolling through the streets, planning to head out the west entrance and then navigate her way up north to the designated meeting point.

Why was she doing this? Why on Earth did she become a police-friggin'-officer? It was obviously the wrong career path for her. She should've just focused on becoming a 'champion' or 'coordinater' like every ten-year-old (or not - she hated the pointlessness of it all). Or become a teacher or something.

She snorted before she could stop herself. Right. Yeah, because a school would let her around children (because no matter how much she actually liked them, she just wasn't cut out to be a role-model that was more than just a uniform). She might've even settled on being a florist (or not, because that just brought back too many bitter memories).

She poked a tongue through her teeth. Well, there had to have been something she could do other than being a cop. She just had to think harder.

She didn't have the luxury of time right at that moment, because she'd spotted the gravel that signified that her life was probably going to be thrown into further chaos. And soon afterward, she spotted the woman that was supposed to lead the little band of martyrs/rebels/morons, whatever name you'd give them, into overthrowing a large, malevolent organisation that had the entire region on its knees.

Sar just hoped her own death wouldn't be too slow.

(OOC: Hear ye! Hear ye! By request of the queen- *shot*)

Chris sat on a slope by the edge of a gravel road, leaning back and looking at the blue sky above. The rendezvous point was only a little further ahead, and he was ahead of schedule anyways; didn't he deserve a little break? Especially considering that he probably wasn't going to get another one anytime soon.

More so because of all the new recruits. Half of them looked like they had trouble tying their shoes, and now they had to take the responsibility of freeing a nation. Chris shuddered as memories flooded back to him. Frosty Gorge, Oran Valley, and even his first encounter with the Uprising. People he had seen come and go, lives which he had personally destroyed. But in the end, he thought to his Pokemon the most. Char, who had been shot. Dile, who had been knocked out. Screech, a former PXS Pokemon. Cedrik, who was entrusted to Chris by former trainer. Chris could go on forever about everyone.

Letting out a sigh and closing his eyes, Chris just listened to the silence, the unnerving lack of noise. No Pidgeys singing in the distance, no Kriketune chirping, nothing. Chris slowly opened his eyes. How could people live like this, let alone enjoy it?

He wasn't, for sure. Chris jumped onto his feet, returning to the gravel path and walking towards the rendezvous.

It didn't take Chris long to arrive at the meeting place, a large gravel area. He wasn't the first to arrive, Sar, another member, was also waiting. He never seemed to talk to her, but knew she was one of the more experienced and trustworthy members. All in all, he was glad she was here.

Giving Sar a slight nod, Chris walked a little farther, thinking he could find another place to relax, maybe grab a few moments rest before everyone else arrived, and way before Issac could ask him any more questions; what he didn't expect was to find the leader of the Uprising: Isabel. 3 years had past since they met at Shadow Valley, since they escaped from Frosty Gorge, since they last talked.

After a brief pause, Chris walked up to her, only then noticing a slight, disquieted look on her face.

"Something wrong?" He asked, slowing to a stop.

((OOC: Well, Skymin's officially out. Let's pretend Josh didn't happen. ^^' And yay for a load of waffling.))

Sar had chosen to lounge against a tree because, really, she had nothing to say to a woman who couldn't quite recognise her. She adjusted her sunglasses and tried to make out a pattern in the gravel. People were sure taking their time.

A soft crunch announced the arrival of another member who looked vaguely familiar and who nodded to her. She raised an eyebrow, unsure as to whether it was because he recognised her as another member, or if he recognised her. She dismissed the latter option. Nobody had a good enough memory to recognise a person that they were introduced to in the midst of battle after three years. Especially since she had chopped off the blue hair she used to sport and was now blonde. Wearing reflective sunglasses.

She sighed. Not having her Pokemon around was starting to grate on her nerves. Back in Johto she could count on them to be always watching her back and ready to leap to her defense (something which, as a police officer, was invaluable to her job and her safety). She felt exposed and vulnerable, and she hated that.

"Something wrong?" The guy's voice jolted her out of her rather skittish introspection. When she realised that he was speaking to the leader of the Uprising she smiled sardonically. No, nothing wrong other than the fact that there's a bloody region under the control of some crackpot fanatics who would like to decimate the Pokemon population. Or the fact that she was probably leading a group of idealistic teens and young adults to their deaths. Or that itty bitty detail where if she failed, so did all hope for the region. Other than that? Nah. No biggie.

It was the type of pointless question she detested - questions like 'what's up?' or 'are you okay?'. And then she realised that she was doing that thing again where she forgot to empathise with people and that the comforting of others (however futile) was important to a lot of people. Except, really, these people were trying to lead a revolution - to fight a war. Did they really expect to have other people holding their hands and making soothing noises every step of the way?

She realised she was still fixing them with a dry look, although they probably couldn't tell because the sunglasses were in the way, and quickly looked elsewhere. It was none of her business what they liked to do in their free time or whatever. She really didn't want to develop ties with them because then she would be (even more) emotionally invested in this fight and that was just a bad idea.

She fidgeted, and her fingers twitched toward the gun that was strapped to her hip. Really, she had become quite dependent on her Pokemon and without them she was exposed. This was harder to deal with than she anticipated.

Isabel sat to the side of the area she had instructed all of the Uprising members to congregate at, staring down at an oddly-shaped chip of rock as if it actually mattered. Her thoughts, however, were far away: three years in the past and many miles north. Her fingers grazed lightly across the lumps sewn into her sleeve. One, two, three, four, five… One, two, three, four, five…

The large, comforting eyes of Fay, her Espeon, filled her mind's eye. No matter how much stress Isabel had been dealing with, that Pokemon would always be there to calm her down again. Suddenly, her mind was filled with something different. There was the familiar coat of purple fur, though now punctured in several places and matted with a deep scarlet. The eyes stared vacantly up at Isabel, having been fixed on her as the last trickle of life flowed out of them.

Isabel closed her eyes, snapping them open once more when she saw that doing so only made it worse. She noticed that her breathing had grown ragged and shallow. She took a shaky breath and forced herself to relax, looking over at the duffel bag beside her as she returned to her thoughts. So much had been lost already to PXS. Fay had died trying to protect her, her brother had run away to join their ranks in order to keep his Pokemon, and David…

    "Something wrong?"

Isabel visibly jolted at the sudden voice. She managed to keep her eyes fixed firmly down, aware that her face was growing hot after she realized that her eyes had begun to line with moisture. Her lips struggled to form words, though her mind offered nothing coherent to supply them with.

"Chris!!" a loud, obnoxiously bright voice shouted from several feet away.

Audrey, who had apparently thought it was a good idea to continue crouching behind a bush that was much too small to conceal her, sprung out into the open. She skipped/ran toward Chris, though promptly tripped and went sprawling into the dirt, lightup sneakers still flashing.

The shadow of tears disappeared from Isabel's eyes in a single blink.

"No, I'm fine," Isabel said in an artificially clear voice that sounded a little strained even to herself. "Just… tired…"

Isabel looked up, but didn't meet his eyes. If she attempted to do so, there was a good chance that she would lose the feeble composure she had managed to create.

I can't lose him, too… she thought to herself. I couldn't live with myself if he…

That was why she had to be strong. There was no room for error or weakness, and any seed of either had to be promptly unearthed and burned. She had to protect what was left that mattered to her, which also meant freeing the region.

Isabel sighed and looked over at Audrey, who was still lying facedown on the ground. She debated the wisdom of getting up to help the girl to her feet, but figured that it would do everyone a little good to have another moment of peace.

Greg looked back at the now ironically named Chipper City. Things were moving faster than he initially thought.

"Oh well," he said to himself as he continued towards the rendezvous point, "a plan's a plan."

Plus they really couldn't afford to take any chances in this place.

Greg caught sight of some members as he neared the end of the gravel road. Only four just now. And one was face down in the dirt.

"Umm... does she need help, or..." Greg sight, still bemused as to why Audrey was in that state in the first place.

The nineteen year old tunred around on the spot, looking at the views from the hill they were on. The sea, the land itself were beautiful - it was such a shame that from where he was, Chipper City looked like such an eye sore.

This churned a dormant dread within Greg. There was no telling how bad the rest of the region was. If he truly had no home anymore, if it was ruined... he didn't like to think about that. This struggle wasn't just for his pokemon - or any pokemon for that matter - but for himself too.

'I hope we can fix this land' he thought.

Audrey felt like a super spy. Sneaking out of the city, following on Isabel's trail through the woods, hiding behind tress and bushes away from the path, making sure the enemy didn't find them... what fun. Isabel came to a stop, seating herself a short distance from the path. In full super spy mode, Audrey dropped down behind some shrubbery, messenger bag swinging to the ground with a thump.

Fingers pressed into a gun shape, Audrey peered over the top of her bush, trying not to overbalance and fall directly into it. Someone was leaning against a tree. She wasn't sure if it was a someone she knew or not, but since Sabey hadn't done anything, it must be okay.

    "Something wrong?"

Audrey's head popped up from behind the bush.

"Chris!!" She sprang to her feet and took one skip forward only to trip spectacularly over her chosen shrubbery and stumble forward, arms wheeling in a flailing bid for balance. Any good it did her amounted to an absolute zero. She lay sprawled face down in the dirt, arms outstretched from their mad, futile clutches at the air and legs straight out behind her, the messenger bag thrown forward next to her head and light-up sneakers still flashing indifferently. Dust settled in clouds back to the path from whence it had been disturbed. Audrey merely grinned into the ground.

Audrey Dewitt, super spy extraordinaire, pulls a super secret spy move to divert their attention. Little do they know, she's actually in the midst of an epic plan to foil their dastardly plot...

Isabel looked up, but didn't even meet his eyes. Chris felt his heart sink into his stomach as a weak grin fell over his face.

As they stood there, silence fallen between them, he tried desperately to think of something else to say; something creative, exciting, interesting!

Luckily for him, a shrill voice interrupted this moment.

"Chris!!" Chris turned just in time to see the eccentric girl faceplant a few feet in front of the pair, no doubt swallowing a few pounds of dirt. Her light-up sneakers flashed through the dust, as if pleading with Chris to call an ambulance.

Chris let out a sigh en concerto with Isabel as they both stared at the pony-tailed girl. Aubrey; some people never change, do they?

"Umm... does she need help, or..." Greg's voice was immediately recognizable as he entered the clearing.

Chris glanced back at Aubrey. No matter how many times this happened, she seemed to get right back up. Either she was extremely determined, or had an extreme tolerance for pain. Eh, she was probably ok.

But, it was as Chris drifted off into his own thoughts, Isabel responded to his original question.

"No, I'm fine, just… tired…" Isabel did her best to sound as if she wasn't.

With another exasperated sigh, Chris looked back upon Chipper City, as well as the endless sea that surrounded it. The sea, keeping him from his homeland; the city, a bleak representation of where he was now.

    And yet he was back.

Chris glanced down at Isabel, but her gaze, once again, never met his own.

"Well now how did I get separated from everyone already?" Beo questioned himself as he looked back and saw the outskirts of Chipper City. "I'm pretty sure the rendezvous point was said to be around here somewhere" he whispered as he pushed forward and suddenly heard a loud familiar shriek.

"Chris!!" A high pitched females voice rang outloud and Beo immediately located the location of the voice. As he approached he recognized most of the faces that were gathered around.

"Hey Greg how was your time in Chipper City?" Beo asked walking to the side of Greg and patting him hard on the back.

Greg however looked like he was deep in thought.

"I wonder what he's thinking about... who knows though, theirs a lot things to think about when your traveling through this region" Beo thought to himself looking up to the sky.

It had taken Paul longer the had hoped to get to where he was already and now he was waiting for the new recruit to turn up, he planned to wait another five minutes then leave to meet the rest of the group.

"Chris!!" Paul heard a shout as he approached the meeting point, it was a good job no one was looking for them yet as the yell could be heard from a fair distance away. Five people were already at the meeting point Isabel, Chris, Greg, Beo and someone who was face down on the floor and who Paul didn't recognize from the back of their head. Ignoring the person on the floor Paul walked over to where Isabel and Chris were speaking.

"Isabel sorry I'm late, I met someone who wanted to join in town and asked them to meet me but they didn't show up. By the way you know how I wanted to talk to you about how we plan to survive, it doesn't matter any more Chipper city confirmed what I had feared."

Charlie eventually reached his fellow teammates despite his lax nature. Munch accompanied him and as Charlie approached the site, he remembered something. It was a site just like this that came just before they separated at Frosty Gorge.

He had nibbled into a Tamato Berry and his lips had swelled. Afterwards Isabel had called him a silly boy. Yes, he was her silly boy. His cheeks lit up and a faint smile painted across his face.

Her silly boy… her silly boy… Those words raced through his head over and over bringing him unimaginable bliss for a teenage boy. Yet, there was one thing that broke this happiness. Isabel was not alone. Chris was with her.

What should I do? Should I approach casually? Or should I blow up my head a little and turn it into a gag?

He took a hard look at Isabel and Chris. A knot formed in his stomach and his legs grew flimsy.

I can't, its too embarrassing. I'll just creep behind and tag along. There's nothing wrong with creeping behind and following secretly.

Charlie hid behind a tree that stood next to where Isabel and Chris were speaking. Munch had also gathered around him, but by now was becoming increasingly attracted to a nearby apple tree.

Charlie listened for a while. At least those two seemed to be getting a long. His stomach grew more tense, yet it soon loosened as a third person joined in. At least now the two were not alone. By this time, unknowingly to him, a fourth member to this group was also going to be dropping by.

Munch had finally lost it and hiked up the apple tree. As he reached for the closest fruit, the branch snapped and caused him to land directly on top of Chris.

(OOC: Sorry this post and I are such fails... I will get this RP moving again. I promise.)

"Isabel sorry I'm late, I met someone who wanted to join in town and asked them to meet me but they didn't show up. By the way you know how I wanted to talk to you about how we plan to survive, it doesn't matter any more Chipper city confirmed what I had feared," a familiar voice announced.

Isabel looked up, her eyes meeting that of Paul. He seemed well... At least, well enough to do his job properly. She opened her mouth to reply when she heard a rustle. Her hands instinctively went for the concealed weapons on her body: her PokeBalls and her gun.

There was a loud crash and Isabel jumped to her feet, more confused than surprised. A rather dazed-looking Munchlax clinging to a branch was now lying on top of Chris, who looked equally dazed but at least not dead.

    Charlie... Isabel's eyes narrowed.

She spun around, eyes immediately fixing on the her target. Isabel was at his side instantly, her palm connecting to the side of his face with as much force as she could reasonably put behind it.

"You worthless idiot! Put away your Pokemon," she shouted directly into his face, her face twisted with a rare bout of anger. "This isn't a game. If you do something stupid like this again, it could ruin everything!"

Isabel turned away, breathing heavily and pressing a hand to her chest as she struggled to regain her composure. She couldn't remember the last time she had been so... emotional. Not since leaving the region, at least.

"Remember that you're not indispensable," she hissed, walking away from Charlie without so much as casting him another glance.

"We're heading out," Isabel announced loudly to the group, swinging her bag back around her shoulders as well as the large duffel.

She glanced over at Chris. He seemed to be fine--obviously bruised, but fine. A strange urge flooded through her to go over and treat any injuries he might have, however minor... But that was impractical. They had to get moving, and she couldn't afford wasting resources like that.

Turning, she headed down the path in the direction of what she hoped would be their last destination as the Uprising.

If everything goes according to plan, we'll have finally done it.

    If.

    Ow.

Charlie's cheek was pulsing and tears swelled in his eyes, but refused to fall.

    But, I'm her funny boy.

A confused Munchlax joined Charlie's side and the two scuttled off. Reluctantly he was forced to return his pokemon shortly after.

A few steps went by and the redness on his cheek faded. Soon he needed to talk to her, but how soon?

Should I tell her now? I'm pretty sure the base is important, but then again she might hit me again.

Charlie gradually moved towards Isabel. "Um," he began timidly. He looked her over with a bit of fear. Charlie hated getting hit. Who actually likes getting hit? He shook his head vigorously to get the thought out of his head.

    "I'm sorry."

"Man, I really should of asked for directions around this damn city," Isaac grunted standing in the middle of the street of Chipper City. Isaac, to put it in very simple terms, has a poor sense of direction combined with his lack of clarity on his orders and became lost faster than a small child in a supermarket. With a sigh, Isaac tossed his torn map to the ground and attempted to remember his orders. "Let's see….all i know is the meeting is outside of the city. There is supposed to be a small clearing or something. I doubt it is by the docks or where I came from. Sooo, I guess I'll go that way," he exclaimed pointing at an old lady who fainted from shock. A shy grin followed and then he began to run, making himself obviously more suspicious to begin with. Hopefully, it doesn't become a murder case.

At this point, Isaac abandoned his previous concerns knowing he wasted so much wandering the city trying to find a familiar face. His hunger pains bothered him to the point he ditched all his allies to find some crappy restaurant to stuff his face. The food was surprisingly satisfactory but that is besides the point. It likely set him back a fair amount of time, and time and Isaac always had a strenuous relationship to say the least.

Karma must of been on Isaac's side as luck would have it Isaac was on a main road that led north…or something like that. At this point, Isaac followed his gut and simply picked a direction and stuck with it. He was pretty sure he had to leave the road or something and head to some clearing, but he wasn't exactly sure. Isaac's typical nature was to ignore orders and not listen to superiors or elders. It was a nasty habit that originated from Isaac's nonchalant attitude as a delinquent. Let's just say old habits die hard. All he could muster in his hazy memories was "clearing", "north" and "outside city". Not exactly the best recollection.

Normally in these situations, Isaac would summon one of his Pokemon, fly around like a moron, and find his comrades. "No, no. Can't do that. Wouldn't leave a great impression with the group. Pretty sure Chris already finds me an idiot. And the leader…" Isaac said with a shiver. His other idea was to summon Luke and hope his powers could track his allies. However, that brought up the underlying problem: Pokemon use was illegal. If he somehow got caught, it would not only land him in a hot water but could potentially undermine the Uprising's greater goal. Too much risk, not enough reward. Trusting his terrible internal compass was the only choice. Looking back at his backpack, he muttered to his companions hidden in their Pokeballs: "Let's hope Lady Luck is on our side."

In the distance (after a fair amount of walking around), he could barely make up a few figures. They appeared to be people and some figures were more familiar than others. Making a dash for the figures, Isaac found himself in the clearing that he was supposed to be at what seemed to be days ago. Out of breath, he leapt into the outside of the group in somewhat bold fashion.

"Guess I am late to the party, eh?"

By the looks of it, he was the only newcomer. Maybe I should of stayed home, he began to think. I feel a bit out of place.

Just as Greg was about to turn back to the group from his thought filled gazing, there was a loud snap and crash from behind him. His own reactions kicked in, and within seconds his guitar case - full of all his supplies - was slung around his front, and his hand was in the secret compartment, grabbing on to the base of a handgun.

What he saw, both to his relief and bewilderment, was a Munchlax: on top of a tree branch - which lay on top of Chris.

Greg open his mouth to speak, however Isabel gave Charlie (the apparent culprit) a crack on the face with her hand. Greg winched at the action, feeling his own cheek go red just by looking at it. Though his amount sympathy was rather low - why was his pokemon outside in the first place?

It was then he realised his hand was still inside his case. As quickly and inconspicuously as he could, he removed his arm and zipped up, slinging the case over his back once more. He glanced among each member of the group. Hoping nobody had seen him.

He really couldn't be bothered with the questions that would be inevitably asked, or hinted upon.

"Guess I am late to the party, eh?"

Standing at the edge of the hill, where they had all previously come from, was one of the newcomers, who's name Greg could not for the life of him recall at the moment.

Greg wished it was a party. Although one look at the group would say otherwise. For a rebel force, they weren't, how could it be put: organised, as of yet. The ground was a big hit with Chris and Audrey, who were still lying down on it (to be fair, Chris was kind of smacked in the head. God only knew what Audrey was up to).

And their head honcho wasn't afraid to slap about her team mates. Oh well, they were all only teenagers still, or young adults (even then not much older).

"We're heading out," Isabel said aloud, wasting no time in continuing the journey.

Greg picked up the pace and followed close behind. He had no idea were they were going, but he trusted the leader. He decided to query about it, anyway,

"Where we off to?" he said, glancing back at the group, who were taking their time in moving.

(OOC: I'm in the same boat as you, Zeph. Also, sorwy about the late post. Big storm rolled through last night and had no power -.-'

A quick movement of Isabel's sent Chris's hand to his knife, unsheathing it just as an unseen force slammed him into him from above. Within milliseconds, Chris was face down in the dirt below. A weight, much heavier than a thousand feathers, but somewhere near the range of, say, 231.5 lbs (of feathers) lay on top of him, trying it's hardest to make his ribs and all of the vital organs inside of it pancaked-shaped.

On eye closed, wincing in pain from both the impact and wonder what was about to come, his eyes caught a slight glimmer of sunlight. His knife had fallen a few feet in front of him, the blade just within reaching distance.
With a deep breath and as much strength as he could muster, Chris threw whatever was on top of him off, and in one swift movement grabbed his knife, wincing as the sharp end pressed into his skin, flipping it around, and placing the blade on the throat of- ...a Munchlax eating an apple?

Chris glanced around, confused, bewildered, and something else to describe being confused as well, that is, until his eyes fell on one person: Charlie; and just in time to see Isabel strike him across the face.

"You worthless idiot! Put away your Pokemon," she shouted directly into his face. "This isn't a game. If you do something stupid like this again, it could ruin everything!"

The Munchlax gave Chris a quizzical look before scurrying away alongside it's trainer.

With a sigh and a scoff, Chris fell back down, his crushed lungs doing their best not to fail. He leaned back placing his hands behind him, only to sharply recoil the left one. A cut crossed his entire palm, from one side to the other, all in the name of self-defense, all for nothing. Groaning, Chris reached into his bag and pulled out a white cloth, ripping a piece off and wrapping it around his hand.

"Where we off to?" A voice easily recognizable as Greg asked.

Chris got up onto two feet and dusted himself off then walked behind the rest of the group.

"This way, I guess." He smirked, carefully adjusting the wrap that covered his hand.
