Alvender reversed his grip on his broadsword, and sent it jabbing backwards, killing the spy who hit Sun Xeng. Swinging his scimitar about, Alvender slit the throat of a spy that was coming from behind after the other one fell.

Meanwhile, Quasak skillfully deflected all the spells cast from a nearby wizard, while bring his twin rapiers up and making an X across the man's chest, killing him on the spot. Quasak transformed into his rightful form, and took to the skies with Yukiko, to fend off the remaining dragons, leaving the others with three more spies to handle.

One of said spies was quickly closing in on me. I didn't have the energy to keep my shield up any longer, it was just too much. I tried to rise to my feet, clutching at my staff, prepared to fight to the death.

It was then that my knees decided to buckle beneath me, leaving my sprawled on the ground. I pushed myself up, seeing a sword flare into exsistance. Dapis growled beside me, though there wasn't much he could do. Our energies were tied after all, and he was almost as weak as I was.

Closing in on the area of battle in truth, I found my first target, a figure attacking a girl, perhaps a little older than I. That just wouldn't do. Besides, save her, I could gain another contact. Smiling, I picked up the pace of my run, coming in behind the attacking figure with a straight lunge that punctured one of his lungs.I quickly tore the blade of my naginata out, slashing through his other lung and kicking the body out of my way as it fell.

I gave the girl a rougish grin and said, "well now, you feeling okay? You looked to be in a bit of trouble."

I glared at him. "One does not 'feel okay' after healing what should be well beyond her personal limits," I retorted, attempting to rise again, leaning heavilly on my staff.

Dapis sensed my slight ire and swelled up to the size of a horse, allowing my to lean on him instead of my staff. He, too, glared at the man, more in a protective manner.

Jumping in the air, and turning clockwise in a 360 degree circle, Alvender cut off another man's head clean off his shoulders with his broadsword.

'There should be one more...but where is he?' Alvender said looking around trying to find the last remaining intrudor, but found no sign of him whatsoever.

"Oh come now." I said, the same grin still on my face, unphased by the change in size of the dragon. I'd seen such before. I added, "Surely you have some kinder words?" I bent and wiped the blade of my weapon on the shirt of her assailant, muttering, "Wretched stuff, blood. Why do humans have to be such meatbags?" Looking back up at the girl, I asked, "Do you know if there are any others? We wouldn't want you dead, would we?"

"I really wouldn't have a clue. The only reason I'm here was to save a hurt girl. It drained me of all my energy, and he," I said, pointing to the dead spy. "was the only one I've seen, other than the dragon."

Dapis growled, and I hushed him gently. "I owe him my life, Dapis. Be nice," I whispered.

I nodded and said, "Thanks. I don't see anything. Let me check, though." I sent my mind out, looking for my falcon partner. He too, didn't see any major activity. Returning fully to my own conciousness, I nodded and said, "Everything seems quiet. Can I get you something? You look about as bad as I'd guess you feel."

"We still got one more," Alvender piped up, after listening to the two for quite some time. The young elf sheathed his broadsword, with his scimitar still in hand. His eyes scanned the battle field for the last spy, hoping to find where the man went.

Looking over at the two of them, Alvender asked with a rather patient tone for the situation, "The young lady will be alright. We need to find one more, before we can join the others in battle." Alvender then pointed to Skye how was still laying on the ground, quite defenseless. Fighting back all urges to run to his loved one's side and heal her, he kept his eyes on his mission. If he didn't find the last straggler, it might come back it haunt him later. Better take care of the danger first...or so the young elf thought.

I noticed the glance he cast towards the girl. "I have some energy left. I can try and do more for her," I said softly, pulling myself off Dapis and leaning on my staff again. My black robes fluttered about me in a light breeze. "I'm no good for fighting right now anyways. The best chance it seems we've got is for at least one of us to be in fighting condition."

"She'll be fine," Alvender said with a little more force behind his words, but still remained patient. "You need to rest, and conserve your energy. There's no need in wasting what you already have little of." Alvender, who had taken a heavy breath looked away from Skye and the other girl, and continued looking for the last man.

Finally, he found what he was looking for. Lounging out at a bush, a man jumped from behind it. Obviously trying to sneak passed the group, and narrowly missed Alvender's blade. Following through with his broadsword, Alvender quickly finished the man off.

"Well that takes care of that group. Now we have a bunch of dragons to deal with," Alvender muttered to himself as he watched the other group of students and teachers trying to defend against the onslaught of dragons. Feeling a despair creep up on him, Alvender returned to Skye's side, proping her head on his lap and beginning the long complicated steps to transfer his elven energy into energy fit for human consumption.

"Don't overextend yourself." I said, voice hard. "You won't do anyone any favors if you hurt yourself." I again sent my mind to Tsuchgino, asking him to look for any other hostile figures.

I growled. "I'm not one to be told to sit still and let others handle it," I muttered to myself. I glanced at Dapis, who gave me a scaley nod.

I placed my head to his and closed my eyes. I then began muttering a complex incantation, hoping to meld our remaning energies. We both were weak as individuals, but together, we could be strong. It hadn't worked before, but I prayed it would now. I was needed, and not about to back down now.

After the energy had been transfered, all Alvender could do was wait until he saw if the energy helped. Rolling his eyes at the young man who was address the other girl gruffly, Alvender got to his feet and watched the scene between them unfold. With a sigh he just shook his head and sheathed his swords.

"I think the others can handle it for now..." Alvender said feeling his body go numb. "I need...I need...I think I need to...need...to..rest," Alvender said swaying back and forth were he stood before he callapsed on the ground beside Skye. He wasn't unconscience, far from it. The energy needed to help Skye, which he wasn't sure did any good at the moment, was more than his body could handle.

I pulled my head back, smiling. "Better," I said serenly. "Not perfect, but better."

Dapis gave me a reptilian smile, and I giggled, hugging him. "Together, we are strong," I whispered.

I turned around. "Well, are we planning on just sitting here, or are we going to go help?" I asked with renewed vigor.

OOC: I gotta go for the night. I'm working early shift at the Cafe' tomorrow.

OOC: It's so nice to have you back, Nat. :)

IC: Skye felt energy returning to her body, though from outside sources. She opened her eyes, her soul reaching for Yukiko's who nudged her back, both of them communicating their happiness at being reconnected. The dragon was soon by her side, her white fur still messy and stained with her blood, but both were alive, their foes defeated for now.

When Skye turned her head to look at Alvender, whose presnece she had recognized in some of the energy she had received, she was suprised and worried to see him barely concious beside her. She rolled over and sat up, looking ove at the two newcomers, her indigo eyes strained and exhausted.

"Thank you for your help..." she said, unable to convey how grateful she really felt. Yukiko was busy licking her wound in an effort to heal it as Skye wrapped her arms around Alvender and propped him up against her as she sat on the ground. "We should get back to the academy...regroup and rest. I have a feeling we won't be able to stay at the academy much longer....we'll be sent to the battlefeilds I'm sure."

OOC: Okay...since Nomad made this RP and totally abandoned it, does anyone have any idea who/what the enemy is? Or are we going to have to make that up ourselves?

"And here I was, thinking I might have a few days to rest and study." I said dryly, removing my hat and idly spinning it on one finger. I added, "We still all need rest though, for a night, at the least." I flipped the garish hat back onto my head.

I smiled a bit, finding slight humor in what the boy had said. I sighed and shook my head, holding my hand out to the girl I'd helped out.

"My name is Lilian," I said softly. "And it looks like you might need some help getting him inside," I observed, my crimson colored eyes uncharacteristically gentle.

OOC: Well whatever Jake has has to be evil enough to be evilly evil for our needs. XD

And we have that corrupted mage Agatha on Alvender's tail, she already killed Skye once. So between what Jake cooks up and her, I'd say we have an army of evil. XD

IC: Alvender pushed himself away from Skye, catching himself limply on his own two feet. "I'm fine...I don't need help..." Alvender said bitterly as he limped off into the academy, his tone full of resentment and fury. He didn't want any help getting back to his own room, he could do it just fine without anybody beside him, he got along great without anyone to help him, why start now?

He was willing to help others, he wasn't yet willing to let others help him, so he matched off alone, as he left Skye with the others.

Leaving the door to his room opened, having a feeling someone would want to come check on him, he flopped down on his couch and began a deep meditation to try and recover the lost energy.
