When was it that you thought "Wow, that wild Pokémon did something really stupid"?
I just had one now: Trying to catch Lugia in SS. Lugia used Rain Dance right before the rain stopped. TWICE.

Mine's with Lugia also - I managed to get it under five hp, paralyze it, and reduce its accuracy with flash six times. My single, lower-leveled pokemon was barely touched. Whenever it managed to hit me, it used rain dance xD

Moved to general Pokemon gaming as this can apply to basically any main Pokemon game, not just HGSS.

Just had a dumb trainer moment in PBR (Yes i still play PBR)...
My graveler (last pokemon) against a combusken (also last pokemon).
    Graveler's health was low.
I knew combusken could easily KO me with a Double Kick, which i had seen it use before.
But NO, it kept using quick attack. I guess the trainer's AI was wired to use Quick Attack to finish off pokemon. It took him 3 hits, and my Graveler was still alive. I just kept using Rock Blast. Then I won. Its like he threw the match...

(Edit: Sorry, i didnt notice this was WILD pokemon. Oh well, theres no difference, really)

The Mewtwo in SS failed against my level 7 Slowpoke.

Used Amnesia in the first turn, my Slowpoke used Yawn.

Second turn, it uses Guard Swap (yes, on a level 7 Slowpoke), then falls asleep. I proceed to tackle it with Slowpoke for a laugh.

Repeated that cycle until I caught it.

I always laugh when I've got a Pokemon into the red, mine's in the red, it has a chance to finish me off and it uses a stat move.

(Also, not wild, but this happened with the Kimono Girls' Jolteon. I ended up killing it with an Ursaring who was burned and in the red.)

Wading through a cave full of one-turn, self-destructing Gravelers is not fun.

well i have a 'trainer pokemon are really dumb" moment,

    in the kanto region,
    sabrinas gym,
one of the old ladies you fight there has this hypno
who used skilled swap, then did it again, and again and eventually died with its original skill XD

i love it when stupid pokemon do this

    Lmao. :pink_laugh:

When a wild pokemon uses a status move when your already inflicted with it -.-
This happens to me all the time. :pink_disbelief:

When a Pokemon like Raticate is using Quick Attack when my Pokemon just used Fly or Dig last turn. Same thing when they are using normal attacks on my Haunter. It's just not going to work guys! Unless you are a Hoothoot/Noctowl using Foresight first.

I've always thought Self Destruct was pretty stupid. (I always run from Gravellers. Always. >_>)

In Platinum, training a Shelgon, I met a Graveler. This happened 3 TIMES! It KOed itself using SelfDestruct while I used Protect. :P

In the origanals, the AI was notoriously bad. I remember one time my level 11 Squirtle (Yeah, it was in Yellow, and I dislike Yellow, but still.) was being trained in Digglet's Cave. The level 31 Dugtrio COULD have KOd me in one hit with Dig, but NO! Using GROWL was so much more important.

    I won. :P

Ho-oh is stupid. It kept using Sunny Day. How hot does he like his spring break? Gracious.

Electrodes are stupid. Take those ones powering the generator in Mahogany Town's Rocket Base. They use Screech first to sharply lower your Defense, then use SonicBoom.
