Why does everyone like Arcanine so much?

Because he was a original 150, and the first Wolf Pokemon. Mostly because his design stands out from all the other Wolves, and he his species is "Legendary Pokemon" (sweet! =P). He also is one of the Wolf Pokemon that resembles something from the Chinese myths: Shisa.
