6th Gen The Wonders of Wonder Trade

I think it would be interesting if they implemented different options on wonder trade. Like a way to dictate that your pokemon goes to somebody who has played for a certain period of time. (I.e. sending someone who's been playing for under 5 hours a newbie present)

Another thought I had was...what if each individual pokemon had a "wonder limit" value and a specific "wonder item" associated with them. When the number of times the pokemon has been wonder traded reaches that Pokemon's "wonder limit" number, they give out their "wonder item" to the lucky player. This could be repeated, but they'd need to be wonder traded again to the same amount as their "wonder limit" This wouldn't be something attached to the pokemon, just awarded to the player on completion of the wonder trade. I don't think it could be taken advantage of given the randomness of wonder trade.

As an example:

You have a pidgey, with a wonder limit of 13 and a wonder item of "Lucky Egg". When this pidgey is wonder traded 13 times the 13th recipient will receive a lucky egg. Then the pidgey would need to be wonder traded another 13 times before it gives out another lucky egg.
 
Been absolutely smashing wonder trade like mad, I've had the game a day and already got the '50 saves' medal because of it.


Not done badly, I now have a Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charmander in my team! But having seen that Tepig is actually a prev-Gen starter (not played since Diamond) and not the gimpy little Bidoof-alike I assumed it to be, GTS'ing it for Squirtle might've been a bad idea.....




I've got a Boldore with Pokerus from WT, also got a Feebas with Dragon Pulse (maybe has IVs? IDK about those yet....), two Lucario's, a Protean Froakie (I chose Froakie as my starter though, anyone wanna trade for diff starter?) Scyther, Kangaskhan, and a Ditto!
 
I've had an odd day with wonder trade today. I caught a bunch of Gravellers and Haunters to give people some Golems and Gengars on wonder trade. I was receiving mostly pokemon from the first couple of routes, scatterbugs and the elemental monkeys. So, feeling a little bitter I gave an everstone to one of my gravellers and then traded that away. Got a piplup in return. Now i feel bad.
 
I love it, I've gotten a lv 59 zweilous, Charmeleon with charizardite x which is awesome because I have y. And many more awesome.Pokémon
 
I have been throwing some Feebas into Wonder Trade, but mostly it was just the usual early game stuff. Well, whatever...

That reminds me that I still have two Prism Scales left. Maybe I should attach them to some Feebas before I wonder trade them away. xD

How did you get Charizardite X? Wonder Trade and GTS won't let me trade Mega Stones. (I can trade with friends, just not on teh GTS)

Okay, I may have exaggerated, I did get a charmeleon, but the charizardite x from my buddy. Got a little happy/carried away when I got some very good trades.

I will forever be a fan of Wonder Trade! Believe it or not, I got a Feebas (foreign one, starts with the letter "B", not sure if it's a nickname, IDK...)! I traded a Plusle for it. XD If anyone wants an egg PM me. I need to get a ditto first. Then I'll try to breed it and distribute it. If anyone has a ditto PM me your 3DS FC and I'll add you and then you can trade me a ditto so I can start breeding. I'm so happy! This is the first time I've owned a Feebas and I've always wanted a Milotic. :D Today is a glorious day!!! Oh yeah, my player name is Ayame and I'm playing Pokemon Y. ;)

Im a bad person when it comes to wondertrade ..... i use it to castaway my failed breeding projects .... i feel bad when i flood the wondertrade with the same pokemon ... (if you get a treeko from me within the next few days im terribly sorry).

Although i am curious as to how many people (other than myself) have actually had a pokemon BACK from the wondertrade.

I sent about 40 - 50 eevee over wondertrade about a week ago now :/ and last night i was trading away some failed litleo and i got back one of my own eevee's
 
I love WT! I think it's a brilliant way to get pokemon that you may not want to actually catch. I send off all my breeded ones. I've got some really good ones in return though. and now i'm helping out by sending out some good ones that I've bred.

All 3 starters from x and y and from first gen!
Dittos
eevees
Shiny eevee

Oh course i've had a couple of boring ones but you can get some awesome ones too. I just send them on if I don't like them (or they have Japanese names...) someone will probably want it =)

Last night I was sending out Phione. I sent other Pokebank Mon but I bred those Phione specifically for Wonder Trade. I've heard of people getting Legendary or Shiny via Wonder Trade but never me. I've gotten a few 5IV Mon before though.

If the Pokemon aren't 4IV+ and/or have Egg Moves I release them. Those that aren't released are tagged with their proper IV and sent back out to somebody that might need then. I try to take the garbage out of Wonder Trade and send good stuff and resend good stuff I've gotten. It's a constant battle.
 
The best thing I got today through Wonder Trade is an Adamant Froakie with Protean, thank you Trainer I'll be using this little guy for breeding!

Lol pokemon I've goten from wondertrade (HAHA awesomeness)
Chimchar: jolly 4iv iron fist
Japanese scyther: 4 iv swarm (forgot I could have use abillity capsule on it, so I retraded)
Growlieth 4 iv adamant
Magikarp 4iv
Chancey: Calm 4 iv
Honedge: (unfortunately) sasy 4 iv

I think these are pretty decent Pokemon. I would love to see more things like these.
 
I'm so addicted to Wonder Trade right now. I've got good-natured Eevee, with and without their hidden abilities, a Modest Goomy and Joltik, a Naïve Chimchar and Zorua, an Adamant Shinx and Absol, a Jolly Shroomish w/ Poison Heal, a Timid Charmander, and two Drought Vulpixes. Unfortunately, I'm running out of Pokémon I want to give away, and I don't want to give away the good-natured Pokémon I have.
 
Wonder trade is becoming a market of lvl ones that people breed in search of shiny or perfect IVs, kinda nice, you might get a 5IV maxed pokemon without the effort, I know i dumped my fair share of 5maxed into wonder trade
