Oh, I wasnt offended. =] Well, I wouldnt allow it to come to fighting, mostly because I wouldnt fight, because this is Yellow we're talking about, I WOULD NEVER FIGHT HER! I LOVE HER!
*vindictive, oily voice* Very well. I'm glad you chose your words carefully.
No seriously, I know you wouldn't fight her but that just makes it easier for her to avoid being kidnapped. Oh well.
I called her this morning and she's willing to go spend the day with you all but requests as politely as we've seen her in the past that she get to bring her things, like *pulls out list* her sketchbook, her fishing rod, her pokemon, her hat, her pokedex and a pokegear phone. Of course this is a request and she wants to be sure this is okay. She's open on September 17th and then she has a schedule to keep. Have a nice September... (What? I can't be funny?)
Are there any other characters from anywhere that remind you of Yellow?
Yellow's extremely uniqe. I think some extremely nice characters are similar but not really the same.
Link from Zelda in modern incarnations is blonde with green eyes, and green eyes are a popular eye color for Yellow. and they both have uniqe clothing that I have yet to see elsewhere, plus they're both lisenced and owned copyright wise by Nintendo. Yellow is owned in partnership with the producers of the manga while Link is fully owned, oh wait, that's a difference not a similarity. But above all, their personality's are similar. For example while Link doesn't speak, thus leaving his personality up to the imagination of the player, he described as humble, polite, brave, heroic, and kind by official sources. And if you don't know Yellow's personality and wouldn't agree she's similar to this, then you clearly don't belong on this thread. And both are very intelligent, i.e, Yellow solving riddles and discovering how to beat the elite four and Link's puzzle solving and paterned boss fights that require intellect to defeat and figure out. Another thing that could be a difference or similarity is fighting style. Yellow's is designed to avoid causing pain, Link uses weapons that were originally designed to kill things so that's out of the question, but his fighting style can be gentle, tactile, mindlessly brutal or agressive depending on the player.
There are others, like Tarou from Hanaukyo Maid Tai. He's so patient and kind it's actually unhealthy if you ask me. He's willing to put up with nearly anything. He also makes a habit of sympathizing with and changing peoples lives. Much like Yellow
And your jaws might drop when I say this, but I think Yellow has similarities to Superman. What's so different between Yellow and truth, justice and the american way?... Other than the word American since Yellow is a manga character and thus is Japanese by all accounts. But the morals described in the american way, honesty, mercy, equality do seem to fit them both. Both have a subtle yet reinforced moral about being a good person, trying to help people and how things like killing and maiming are in fact wrong. Now one of my favorite similarities is that Superman and Yellow may have their critics(which is just fine, you're entitled to your opinion) but none of them have a legitiment complaint other than "I just don't like them, I don't have a reason" which is the only good reason I've ever heard. Both have been accused of being too powerful, Yellow just heals and reads minds, she is by no means cheap or overpowered, by movie, video game, and comic/manga standards, those aren't really "powerful" abilities, and Superman is just SUPPOSED to be powerful, that's what the word "Super" means. They say they're too goody-goody. MOST CHARACTERS IN POKESUPE ARE GOODY-GOODY!!! Blue's a bit on the questionable side but still falls under this chategory because of her morals, and Silver, while clearly the darkest isn't exactly a bad boy or an anti-hero, and Gold's only non-goody-goody trait is his pervervial tendencies. Superman is supposed to be that way because he's a superhero. And my least favorite "If someone had that kinda power, they'd be an evil A-hole". It depends on who gets the power, case in point Lance and General Zod. It may surprise people but there are people out there who would have enough moral and conscience to use that power for the benifit of others. I don't know what Yellow's excuse is, but Superman is supposed to be the embodiment of how a superhero should be, kind, compassionate, and able to take down his enemies without killing or seriously hurting them. All of which, Yellow has also shown. Even darker characters like Batman, The Question, Green Arrow or Huntress, or at least less happy-go-lucky characters like Blue, Silver, or Green have a soft spot for these two(respectively). I think you'd agree that both are kind and decent, have been shown to save the world(countless times in Superman's case), and they follow their principles, even when others advise against it or just flat out tell them not to.
And, since I'm sure Yellow's tired of being compared to guys. She's like MiniMandy(Minnie) from "Grim Tales from Down Below" and as such are both kind, gentle, sweet and hugable. Both are blonde and while Mini has grey/silver eyes, Yellow has at least been displayed with that eye color in various fanart. Though, if you've read Grim Tales, Yellow isn't as messed up as Minnie.
And finally, Talim from Soul Caliber. Sophitia and Kilik are also similar to Yellow and Talim but Talim is the closest. They're kind, don't enjoy hurting people but fight if they must. And they're dialogue seems to fit what the other would say. Just look at them and tell me they aren't similar.
Keep in mind I think these characters are SIMILAR though not exactly the same.
Well enjoy that little essay. Your answer probably shouldn't have to be as long winded as mine. =\
