I would have had the SM have a new protagonist instead of Ash, considering how him "going to school" made me feel the image of him being regressed so badly plus it wouldn't make sense considering all the regions he's traveled through.
Speaking of SM, I would have the female protagonist from the games be in the anime. I will hate the writers for giving her the Hilda treatment.
